Party Animal!

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great holiday! We are getting quite a bit of snow right now so I am snowed in but that's OK cause I am going to craft the day away. :)

I made the following card for the challenge over at Flaunt It Fridays. The challenge for this week is make a project with the turtle from Create A Critter. I was going to make a gift bag for my daughter's BFF's upcoming birthday but since my daughter doesn't really know what she will be getting her yet, I decided to make a card for now and then a matching gift bag later when the gift gets bought. So for now, here is the card:

I love all the images on Create A Critter, they are all so cute and this little turtle is no exception. I got the party hat from the Create A Critter cart as well.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog and see my latest creation. I really do appreciate it. I hope you stay warm and have a great crafty day!

Cricut--Create A Critter (turtle and hat cut at 2 1/2")
CardStock--Melon Mambo, Pacific Point & Pear Pizzazz (SU!)
Patterned Paper--Colorbok
Stamp--Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (Pink By Design)
Border Punch--Martha Stewart

Tags from Santa

Happy Wednesday! Can you believe Christmas is almost here? I still have tons of wrapping and some cookie baking to do but at least my shopping is now done. :)

These tags were made for the challenge over at Bitten By The Bug 2. The challenge was to make a project with a gingerbread man.

How cute are these guys? I made my gingerbread girl and boy from the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge. The tags were made from Lacy Labels. I just printed out my to and from on my computer and then hand trimmed them to fit onto the tag.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my latest creation. I hope you have a fantastic holiday and a great crafty day!

Cricut--Lacy Labels & Paper Doll Dress Up
Cuttlebug--Welcome Baby Embossing Folder

Let It Snow

This week over at The Paper Variety they are having a photo inspiration challenge. I knew I wanted to play along as soon as I saw this adorable picture:

However, every time I even thought about sitting down to craft, something else always seemed to happen. I got my opportunity tonight though and I jumped on it. :) The challenge ends tomorrow (12-21-10) so I got my project completed just in the nick of time. This is what I came up with:

Please excuse the picture. It isn't the best but I had no natural light in which to take my picture to enter the challenge. For the dog, I used Create A Critter and cut him out at 2 1/2". I then used Paper Doll Dress Up for the Santa hat and cut it out at 4". I used some white flocking for the brim of the hat and popped up the pom pom with a foam dot and also used flocking on it. The dog is attached to the card with an action wobble, which makes him spring to life. :)

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop in and take a look. I really appreciate it. Have a great crafty day!

Supplies:

Cricut--Create A Critter & Paper Doll Dress Up

Cuttlebug--D'vine Swirls

Cardstock--Red (Recollections) & White (Georgia pacific)

Stamps-- Everyday Character Face Parts (Peachy Keen) & Let It Snow (We R Memory Keepers)

Misc.--Offray Ribbon & White Signo Gel Pen

Stocking Gift Card Holder

Happy Monday! Today marks a new challenge week over at Paper Therapy. This week's challenge is to create a Christmas card. I decided to make a gift card holder for the challenge.

This was so much fun to make but also took me quite a bit of trial and error to get the size just right. I used Paper Doll Dress Up for the stocking. I found that the Suberboy boot on page 56 was the perfect shoe for this. I cut it once at 22 3/4" and then flipped the image and cut it out again . I then adhered the two matching sides together and left the top of the boot open for the gift card to slide in and out easily. For the cuff, I cut out a rectangle measuring 3 1/2" by 4" and folded it in half at 2". I adhered the back of the cuff to the stocking and used a piece of velcro for the front so the recipient can easily open up the holder to get the gift card. I just free hand cut the heel and toe pieces. I think it turned out so cute and am so happy with the end result. I hope you can play along with us this week at Paper Therapy. We would love to see what you create. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and seeing my latest creation! I really appreciate it! Have a great crafty day!

Supplies:

Cricut--Paper Doll Dress Up

Cuttlebug--Swiss Dots Embossing Folder

Patterned Paper--DCWV

Stamp--Recollections

Misc.--White Signo Gel Pen, Red Sharpie, Stardust Stickles, EK Success Corner Rounder & Offray Ribbon

Merry Christmas!

Happy Saturday! Can you believe there are only 6 days until Christmas! I am not even done with my shopping. Talk about waiting until the last minute! I only have a couple things left to get though so it shouldn't be too bad. I did manage to finish up the gift that we will be giving to one of our neighbors today. I went green and recycled a 4 pack of Starbucks Frappachinos including the cardboard container they come in at the grocery store.

How cute is this? Each jar has something different in it. There is one with Christmas Tree Peppermint Nougats, one with Hershey Hugs, one with Spearmint discs and another one filled with pastel dessert mints.

I hope they like it. :) As always, thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my latest creation. I really do appreciate it. Have a great crafty day!

Supplies Used:

Patterned Paper--Be Merry Snowball Fun (My Mind's Eye)

Cardstock--Pear Pizzazz (SU!) & Pink (Bazzill)

Stamps--Snowflake (We R Memory keepers) & Sentiment (SU!)

Punch--Traditional Eyelet (Martha Stewart)

Misc.--Ribbon (Offray), Irock (Imaginisce)

Please scroll down to the next post for the winner of the blog candy from me for the
Holiday Cards and Gifts Blog Hop.

Happy Monday! I hope you are staying warm where you are as it is sure cold where I am. It is looking like a great crafting day!

Today marks the start of a new challenge over at Paper Therapy. This weeks challenge is to make a project with a snowflake on it. I decided to make little treat purses filled with little Hershey nuggets for my daughter to hand out to her friends this holiday.

I am so happy with how this turned out. I finally got around to using that free download for Gypsy users with the Tags, Bags, Boxes and more to make my little purse. I don't really know the size the purse was cut out at. I just sized it on my gypsy as big as I could get it. The snowflake was cut out with Accent Essentials at 2". I then added some bling, ribbon and a sentiment. I think these will be perfect little gifts for her to give to all her friends. Now,I just need to get busy making more of them. :)

Holiday Cards and Gifts Blog Hop!

Happy Saturday! Welcome to the Holiday Cards and Gifts Blog Hop!

If you hopped on over from The Scrapoholic, you are in the right spot. :)

If you just happened to stumble upon my blog and found the hop, all the fun starts at
Glitter, Stamps, and Paper, Oh My

I am so excited to be a part of this hop! There are a lot of great blogs with some very talented ladies on this hop today and you aren't going to want to miss any of the fun. :)

For my project, I chose to make a gift, a little card and a matching gift bag. My son is participating in a secret Santa at church and this is what he will be giving away as his gift.

Isn't that snowman just the cutest? I love making these little nugget tins. So simple to do yet they always look so adorable and people really love getting them. I mean, who doesn't love getting chocolate right? :)

Here is how I made everything:

The Gift Bag is a plain red bag that I picked up from Wal-Mart. I took my patterned paper and cut a 2 1/2" by 7" strip and then used the Apron Lace border punch along the top and bottom and wrapped ribbon around it and attached it to the bag. The gift tag hanging from the bag was made with the Storybook Cricut cartridge. The scallop was cut out at 2 1/2" and the circle was cut out at 2 1/4". I punched a little hole at the top of the bag and hung it with some white hemp string.

The little card is just a 3x3 card to go inside the bag along with the gift. I cut a 1 1/4" by 3" strip of paper and punched the top with the apron lace border punch and layered it over the top of my sentiment.

The nugget tin is a piece of red cardstock measuring 10" by 3 1/4" and punched on both sides with the border punch. I then layered a strip of patterned paper measuring 10" by 2 1/2" on top and wrapped it around the tin. Not to tight though cause you want to be able to slide it on and off. I then cut out the scallop from Storybook at 2 1/2", circle out at 2 1/4" and the top circle at 2". I layered them on top of each other and stamped my image and attached it to my paper strip with foam dots. For the nuggets inside the tin, I bought a bag of Hershey milk chocolate nuggets and wrapped them with a paper strip measuring 1" by 3 1/4"

Voila! Super cute and easy gift!

Although it isn't chocolate, I do have a little Blog candy for one lucky winner.

All you have to do to be eligible to win is:

1: Be a follower of my blog
&
2: Post a comment (make sure you leave a way for me to contact you if you win)

My "New" ATG!

So, I have been wanting the Pink ATG ever since it came out cause the color was so pretty, but I couldn't justify spending the money on a new ATG since I already had one. I talked to my wonderful husband and he said it wouldn't be a problem to paint it up for me. I was a little scared at first, I mean what if something happened to it. I love that thing! :) I searched the internet and saw that a bunch of people have painted theirs with amazing results so we gave it a go.

Here is what it looked like all primed up:

I wanted mine to be purple. In my excitement, I forgot to take pics of it before I started decorating it but here it is in the beginning stages of the decorating process:

Here it is after the decorating and the clear protective coating had dried:

Isn't it beautiful? I just love it! My hubby did a wonderful job painting it up for me. Thanks so much honey! I used Lyrical Letters for my name and some glitter rub-ons for the floral decorations.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and take a look. I really appreciate it!

Thanks a Latte!

Good Monday Morning Everyone! Today marks the beginning of another great challenge over at Paper Therapy. With Thanksgiving near, this weeks challenge is to make a Thank You card or a LO of something you are thankful for. Here is what I came up with for the challenge:

I think this card would be perfect to add a gift card inside to the recipients favorite coffee place. I used Smiley Cards for my tea cup cut at 2". I just left off the top layer that has the actual smiley face on it. I used some glossy accents on the patterned paper to give the look of porcelain. The "steam" is actually a flourish that was turned upside down, stamped and then embossed. The sentiment was actually typed on the computer and then just printed onto my card stock. I had so much fun making this card. Would love to see what you create for the challenge. Come on over to Paper Therapy and check us out. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop in and take a look. I really do appreciate it. I hope you have a great day!

I am so excited to be a part of this hop (my very first)! There are a lot of great blogs with some very talented ladies on this hop today and you aren't going to want to miss any of the fun. :)

The theme for this hop is Halloween. I hope you enjoy all the great Halloween projects along the way!

For my Halloween project, I decided to make a treat bag.

I love that little waving skeleton!
I used my cricut expression to cut out the bag from Plantin Schoolbook at 7 1/4"

The white mat is 3 5/8" by 4 5/8" and the orange mat is 3 3/8" by 4 3/8".

I rounded the corners and then

I ran the orange mat through my cuttlebug with the spots and dots embossing folder.

For the skeleton, cat and bat, I used the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge.

I cut out the skeleton at 4" and used the black cricut marker to outline him.

The cat and the bat were both cut out at 2 1/2". I used my white signo gel pen to highlight some of the cut details on both.

The sentiment is from Stampin Up (Seasonal Sentiments) stamped in Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink.

I matted the sentiment onto some black card stock and popped it up with some foam dots.

Then I drew some white stitch lines with my white signo gel pen and assembled the bag.

I finished it off with a bow. :)

Pretty simple to make and I am so happy with the end result.

Halloween wouldn't be complete without a little candy, would it?

I am going to give one lucky winner the following 2 cuttlebug embossing folders :

Skeleton Scroll

Love your smile! :)

Happy Monday! Today marks the first day of a new challenge over at Paper Therapy! The challenge this week is to make a project using the first stamp you ever got. If you don't have it anymore, than just use the oldest stamp that you do have. The first stamp that I ever purchased was for a scrapbook page. I had not discovered card making yet. As soon as I saw this cute little frog though I knew that the stamp would be perfect to use right along with him on a card. If this sounds like a fun challenge to you, head on over to Paper Therapy! We would love to have you join us.

For the frog I used Create A Critter and cut him out at 3", then I just layered some scalloped borders on top of each other for a ruffled look and finished with a bow and the sentiment. What a cute card to send someone just because and hopefully brighten their day. Thanks for taking the time to stop in and take a look. I really appreciate it. :) Have a great day!

Supplies Used:

Cricut--Create A Critter

Happy Fall!

Good Monday morning! I hope you all had a fantastic and crafty weekend!

Today marks the first week the weekly challenges start over at Paper Therapy with our new DT. We will have a new challenge every Monday. There are some really great challenges in store for you all. I hope that you all play along. :)

This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge. This is what I came up with:

How cute is that pumpkin? I had a lot of fun with this sketch and really do see myself using it for many future cards. For my pumpkin, I used Paper Doll Dress Up and cut out the pumpkin at 3".

For those of you that don't know, Paper Therapy is an online cardmaking/scrapbooking message board. There are a lot of really nice ladies over there that all love to craft and chat about it. We have chit chat, weekly challenges, a card of the month contest, crops and a really cool halloween section right now for the month of October. Hope to see you there!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and take a look. I really do appreciate it. :)

Forever

Happy Tuesday! I finally got to craft today! Yay! I hope you were able to as well! I got the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge awhile ago and just never got around to opening it and playing around with it so that was my goal for today. For fun I decided to make a lovey dovey card. I like to surprise my hubby with them every once in awhile and I was running low on my supply so here is what I came up with:

I cut out the couple with the Sweethearts cartridge at 3 3/4". I loved the silhouette look, so I decided to go with that and not cut out the clothes. All in all the card is pretty simple but I just love the look of it. This card was also made for the My Pink Stamper Challenge of "Anything Goes". Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and take a look. I really appreciate it!

Supplies Used:
Cricut Cartridge: Sweethearts
Patterned Paper: Making Memories
Punch: EK Success
Stamp: Hampton Art
Ribbon: Offray

Mojo Monday Week 155

Happy Friday! This week has been crazy with school starting back up. I was finally able to sit down and do a little crafting last night though. I decided to play along with the sketch this week over at Mojo Monday. The sketches over there are always so fun, I really enjoy playing along with them when I can. This is what I came up with for week 155:

I let the patterned paper guide me in the direction for this card. I started with the patterned paper and everything else just kinda fell into place. I used my cricut to cut out the medallion at 3 1/4" and then added a little red heart brad to the center of it. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop in and take a look. I really appreciate it.

Supplies Used:

Cricut Cartridges: Storybook
Patterned Paper: Bo Bunny
Cardstock: DCWV
Stampin' Up!: Well Scripted Stamp Set & Poppy Parade Classic Ink
Misc.: Rhinestones, Offray Ribbon

Boo!

Hi Everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend! Today's card was made for the challenge for the Cricut Cardz Challenge. The challenge was to make a card using scalloped circles, scalloped ovals, scalloped squares or scalloped rectangles, and any cartridges or colors you'd like. I decided to make a Halloween card.

I used the Celebrations cartridge for the scallop square as well as the square tag. The scallop square was cut at 4 3/4" and the tag was cut out at 5 1/4". I then used Paper Doll Dress Up to cut out my trick or treater at 2 3/4". Boo! was cut out at 1" with the All Mixed Up cartridge. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop in and take a look! I really appreciate it!

Supplies Used:
Cricut--Expression, Celebrations, Paper Doll Dress Up, All Mixed Up
Stampin' Up!--Peach Parfait Cardstock
Bazzill--Black Bazzill Bling Cardstock
Cuttlebug--Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
Misc.--White Signo Gel Pen, Wal-Mart Ribbon

Winter

Happy Monday! Today's card was made for the challenge over at My Pink Stamper. The challenge was to make a winter card, scrapbook page or other craft item with your cricut. This is what I came up with:

Please excuse the picture. No matter how many times I took it, it just wasn't coming out the way I wanted. I think it may be because of all the metallic papers.

For my card, I used Lacy Labels Cricut Lite cartridge. I used my Gypsy to weld the images to form the shape card at 5". I used DCWV metallic silver for the bottom layer and DCWV metallic light blue for the frame layer. For the snowflakes, I used some white flocking powder to give it a bit of a "snowy" feel. For the phrase, I used Winter from Gypsy Wanderings cut out at 1 1/2" for both the shadow as well as the phrase itself. Added a little bit of outlining with my white signo gel pen and added a white satin bow.

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look, I really appreciate it. Don't forget about the DT call over at Paper Therapy. Scroll down one post to read more about it.

Halloween???

I know, I know, it is only August but I just love halloween and had to make a halloween card for the challenge over at 40:31 Creations. For her challenge we had to create a card or layout with a halloween theme and use our cricut/gypsy. Here is mine:

For my card, I used 2 cricut cartridges. I cut out the flourish, scallop circle and the white circle from Storybook and cut out the white scallop border using Plantin Schoolbook. So sorry for the picture. The card base is actually a deep purple called concord crush from SU. I can never seem to take very good pics when it comes to purple. :(

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and take a look! :)

Cricut--Expression, Storybook and Plantin Schoolbook
