Hello Cupcake!

Hi! Todays card was made for the Cricut Cardz Challenge #34. This is my first time playing along with this challenge blog, but I had a lot of fun and am looking forward to playing more often! The challenge was to make a card with a cupcake, cake, cookies or candy. Here is what I came up with:

I used doodlecharms and cut out the cupcake at 5" and just cut off the candle. I then cut out the cherry from the ice cream cone image at 5" also. The cupcake is popped up with some foam squares. I used some stickles to give it a little glimmer, added some doodling and a bow. I think it came out so cute, but then again, I love making cute little cupcakes with my cricut! :)

Thanks for stopping in and taking a look!

Throwback Thursday Challenge

Hi Everyone! Today's card was made for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge over at My Creative Time with Emma. The challenge for this Thursday was to make a project using the Celebrations Cricut Cartridge (or any older cartridge) and having it be a birthday theme. This is only my 2nd time playing in her challenges, but I am loving them and find myself looking forward to Thursdays now. :) This is what I came up with:

The card base is a 5' square card. I used my gypsy and made the scallop square 4.75 x 4.75 and then used hide contour to hide the holes. I cut out the hat at 4" and the phrase at 2". The scallop square is popped up a little using dimensionals.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look!

Happy Wednesday! Today's card was one I thought I was making for a challenge. haha! I thought it was to make a beach card but when I went to post it, I read that it was for an Under the Sea theme, so off to the drawing board to make another card. :) Any excuse to play with my crafty stuff again right? :)

I used the Life's A Beach cricut cartridge and cut out the card at 5". I then cut out the layers for the girl at 4". The flower in the bottom corner was cut out at 1 1/2' and the ALOHA was cut out at 1". I added some stickles to give it a little summer shimmer and doodles to make it fun. Throwback Thursday Challenge

Hi Everyone! Today's card was made for the Throwback Thursday challenge from My Creative Time with Emma. The challenge was to make a card of your favorite holiday from the Wild Card Cricut Cartridge. I decided to make the Heart card, #36 in the book. I don't really know if Valentines Day is my favorite holiday, actually we don't really even celebrate it. When I started thinking of what to do for this challenge, all I could think about was every holiday I spend with my family is special to me. As a matter of fact, my family makes every day special so what better card to make than a love card. :) After 19 years of marriage, my husband and I still leave little love notes for each other around our home. I cut out this card and the frame at 4 3/4" and the icon was cut out at 2 1/2" and then I used some DMC thread to sew through the frame, popped it up with dimensionals and used some Glossy Accents on the little heart icon.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by! I really do appreciate it!

Post It Note Holder

Hi everyone! Today I would like to share a post it note holder made for Challenge #1 over at Paper Therapy. You can find the tutorial on how to make one of these cute little post it note holders at Lil SweetPea's Place.

My daughter is heading off to college in a little over a month and her side of her dorm room is going to be decorated in zebra print and hot grape, so I made my post it note holder to coordinate with her room.

Thanks for stopping in and taking a look and hope you join us for our crop over at Paper Therapy!

Wild Card Bandaid and Wild Card Father Cards

Happy Friday! I am really looking forward to the weekend and getting some crafty time in! This Sunday, July 11, there is going to be a all day online crop over at Paper Therapy. Paper Therapy is a new cardmaking/scrapbooking forum and everyone over there is so friendly. We would love it if you could join us, There will be challenges and games throughout the entire day. If you can't join us on Sunday, we would love to have you anytime!

OK, on to the cards. Today's Wild Cards are the Band Aid and Father's cards. The first one I will be showing you is the Band Aid card, #34 in the book. I have to say, I don't know if I care too much for this card. It's cute but I just don't think I would ever really use it. However, I did cut out smaller cards and then cut them in half to make little band aids perfect for embellishment either on a card or a scrapbook page. I used fit to page for the card and cut out everything at 6 1/4" and the little band aids were cut out at 1 3/4".

The second card was the Father card, #35 in the book. I used fit to page and cut out everything at 4 1/2". I think this card is a great base for many other occasions, not just the Father card that is shown. I love the square envelope and the deckled edge on it.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by!

Love You Much!

Hi! This is a card I made for a challenge over on SB.com. We had to make a card using only the colors Navy Blue, Pink and White. I often hide little love notes or cards in my husband's lunch that he takes to work so I had him in mind when I made this card. Thanks for looking!

Wild Card Cake and Safety Pin

Happy Monday! So sorry I am late in posting the next 2 cards in the Wild Card Series. I had every intention of posting them on Friday and then somehow the holiday weekend just kinda got away from me. :) Lots of family time!

The first card is the Cake Card, #32 in the book. I used fit to page on my expression and cut out everything at 5 1/4". For the flowers on the cake, I used doodlecharms and cut out the flowers at 3/4" and double stacked them and then added some dimensional paint in the centers.

The second card is the Safety Pin Card, #33 in the book. I used fit to page on my expression and cut out everything at 5". Instead of cutting out the sentiment that goes with the card, I just stamped Congratulations so it could be used for either a baby boy or baby girl. I added a little white satin bow and some doodling outlining the safety pin.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

MPS Challenge

Happy Friday! I can't believe it is already July! Summer seems to be flying by! I made this card for the challenge over at My Pink Stamper. Her challenge was to make a project using the colors pink, orange, green and brown. At first I thought this was going to be a really tough one. I don't think I have ever used these colors together before now. I have to say that I love my card though. It came out so bright and summer-y! Perfect for writing a letter to someone this summer. I put no sentiment on it just in case since it can also work as a last minute birthday card. All I will need to do to is stamp a greeting. The best part is this card was made with 100% scraps! Even the base! I cut the Ice Cream out with Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge at 4" with each color and then just paper pieced them to make it a 3 scoop cone. Thanks for taking a look! I will be back later to post the Wild Card Friday Cards.
