For my project, I decided to make a little 4th of July mini.

I had a lot of fun making this and kept it pretty simple until I figure out what pictures I will be putting into it.

Don't you just love the font on this stamp from the Holiday Occasions Stamp Set?

It so fun!

Anything Goes---A Krafty Girls Challenge

Happy Tuesday!
Are you guys ready for another great challenge starting today at

Challenge #15 is a Anything Goes challenge!

I decided to get a jump start on some of my Halloween projects for this challenge.
Every year, I send my daughter and her roommates a box filled with Halloween goodies to them at college.
They love getting the box in the mail and eating all the candy inside :)

I try to make a bunch of different types of bags/treat holders for them to open to reveal the candy that's inside.

I made this little bag by using one of the black lunch sacks from Michaels. I cut off the top of the bag a little and added a piece of black card stock to the top to act as the closure. It is held shut by a piece of velcro. I added some patterned paper to the front and back and just embellished it a little more. The kisses are not what is going to be in the bag, they were just for the purposes of the picture. If I bought Halloween candy now, there is no way it would last until then haha! I would eat it all up :)

Here is a view from the side so that you can see the lunch sack:

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and looking at my latest creation. I really appreciate it!

Best Fishes!

For my Create Blog Hop post, please click HERE

Hi Everyone!
I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend so far.

This week the Joy's Life Design Team has been showing you projects that not only showcase those awesome Joy's Life stamps, but also show you creative ways to use those super cool Cri-Kits Gel Pens.

Cri-Kits are gel pens that work in your die-cutting machines. So pretty much, anything you can typically cut out, you can now draw with your machine. So cool! You can find more info about them HERE.

For my project, I decided to use my Life Is A Beach cricut cartridge and draw some super cute fish.

I used the Reg. & Neon Cri-Kits Gel Pens and drew my fish at 2.5". I then just cut them out by hand and popped them up on my card. So simple, yet I love how different it is. The possibilities are endless!

Here is a close-up of my fish:

This sentiment from the Pun In The Sun stamp set by Joy's Life went perfectly with my card:

So cute!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation! I really appreciate it!
You can view more Cri-Kits and Joy's Life stamps projects on the Joy's Life DT blog.

Don't forget about the Create Blog Hop that's going on now.

Create with Joy's Life and Cri-Kits Blog Hop!

Happy Saturday!
Welcome to the Create with Joy's Life Stamps and Cri-Kit Gel Pens Blog Hop!
I'm so happy you decided to join us!

If you arrived here from the super talented Megan, then you are in the right spot.
If you just happened to stumble across the hop on my blog today and would like to start at the beginning, then just hop on over and see Joy of Joy's Life.

For this hop, we are all making projects using not only those awesome Joy's Life stamps but also those super cool Cri-Kits Gel Pens.

For my project, I decided to make a little vase and card gift set.

We will start with the card first:

For my card, I drew the butterfly with my Cri-Kits using the Everyday Pop-Up Cards cricut cartridge. The butterfly is 1.5".
Here is a close-up of the butterfly:

So pretty! Yup, with the Cri-Kits, anything you can cut, you can draw with your die-cutting machine.

I thought this sentiment from Joy's Mother & Daughter set was so pretty and felt this was the perfect project for it:

Here is a picture of the vase:

For the vase, I just upcycled a Starbucks Frappachino jar. I drew a line of butterflies at 1" each and layered that strip onto a piece of purple card stock that I had used my traditional eyelet border punch on. Then I simply wrapped it around the jar and added a ribbon to the top of the jar.

Here is a picture of the set together:

I am so pleased with how it turned out. What a pretty gift of encouragement for someone!

What's a blog hop without a little candy?
I am going to pick one lucky winner to win the following cuttlebug folder:

All you have to do for your chance to win is:

Leave me a comment on this post.

You don't have to be a follower (even though I would love it if you were) but if you are a follower, leave a second comment for a second entry.

A Whole Latte Love

Hi Everyone!
Happy Sunday!
I hope you have had a great weekend so far!

This week the Joy's Life Design Team has been showing you projects made with some of the older Joy's Life Stamps. They are definitely oldies but goodies :)

I decided to make a coffee themed card using a stamp from the You're So Punny stamp set.

I cut my latte cup out of the Love You A Latte cricut cartridge at 5". I love the Red and Kraft color combo together, it's always been one of my favorite color combinations. For my sentiment, I stamped my greeting and then used my spellbinders to cut out the shape. I adhered it behind the red layer to where it hung over the card base just a tad. I love how it turned out.

Here is a close up of my stamped greeting (flipped so you can read it a little better)

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation! I really appreciate it! Don't forget to stop by the Joy's Life DT Blog to see more oldies but goodies :)

Very Punny---A Krafty Girls Challenge

Happy Tuesday!

Are you guys ready for another awesome challenge starting today at Krafty Girls?
Challenge #14 is all about Puns. Create a paper project that uses a Pun.

I decided to make a cute little Get "Whale" Soon card.
It's nice to have those on hand and ready to go.

For my card, I cut my whale out of the Create A Critter Cricut cartidge at 3". I ran my white layer through my cuttlebug using the Polka Dot embossing folder. I added that cute little sentiment from the You're So Punny stamp set from Joy's Life and added a cute little bow to the bottom of the card.

From my heart to yours

Hi everyone and happy Monday!
I hope you all had a terrific weekend and were able to get some crafty projects done.

This week the Joy's Life Design Team has been showing you cute and clever ways to package up some gifts. I decided to make a cute little box filled with some kisses for my hubby.

I cut my box out of the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 cricut cartridge at 7". I added a decorative strip all around the box and some cute little popped up hearts to the front.

The sentiment came from the Wintery Puns stamp set by Joy's Life.

So cute! I hope hubby likes it, although I'm sure he will. That man loves candy! :)

Wishing You A Bright and Happy Day Backpack

Hi there and Happy Tuesday!

This week the Joy's Life Design Team has been showing you some Back To School projects that showcase those fabulous Joy's Life Stamps.

I decided to make a little backpack filled with some kisses.

I cut my backpack out of the Life's A Party Cricut Cartridge at 8". I added some faux stitching to the front and added a little flower to the top of my backpack.

Here is a side view to show the straps on the backpack

I thought this sentiment from the Tag You're It Set One was perfect to wish someone a great first day of school:

You're A Smart Cookie

Hi there and Happy Wednesday!
I hope you are all having a fabulous week so far.

This week the Joy's Life Design Team has been showing you projects that showcase either the
Yummy Puns or the Popsicle Puns stamp sets.

I decided to make a little mini pizza box to hold a little treat.

Opened:

Yum!

I cut my mini pizza box out of the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 cricut cartridge at 6.5"
I was super simple to put together and as you can see, it fits a cookie perfectly.

How cute is this sentiment?

My sentiment came from the Yummy Puns stamp set by Joy's Life
