Give Thanks

Hi everybody!
Happy Wednesday!

This week, the Joy's Life DT has been focusing on projects that use the colors
orange, green and brown.

I decided to make a simple card for
Thanksgiving

I grabbed the required colors from my patterned papers.
I love that plaid paper!
I kept my card pretty simple but I love how it turned out.

My favorite part of the card would definitely be this great sentiment and pumpkin from the

No cricut was used! What! I know, I was pretty shocked at myself also. ;)
I simply stamped my sentiment and pumpkin and then ran it through my cuttlebug with my spellbinders labels 4 die. I then layered that on top of the next size up and added some green pearls to the kraft.

To see more projects showcasing the colors orange, green and brown make sure you stop by the Joy's Life DT blog. There are projects added daily! Tons of inspiration over there.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!
I hope you have a great crafty day!

Cut It Up #2

Hello and happy Friday!

Are you guys ready for another great challenge over at

With the first day of Autumn starting tomorrow, we would like to see some fall projects inspired by the following picture:

Here is the card that I created for the challenge:

I was inspired by the colors and the leaves. Luckily I had this cute little stamp that I thought went perfectly for this challenge. I used the Spellbinders labels 4 die for my project. I didn't put a sentiment on the card, that way I have a blank card that I can send out anytime during the season. My grandmother and I are pen pals and she loves receiving my cards and keeps them all.

I hope you will join in on this challenge and play along.
We have 2 wonderful sponsors for this challenge, Trendy Twine and My Thoughts Exactly and they are offering a super cute prize pack up for grabs for one lucky winner, picked by random.org from all the entries.

Head over to Cut It Up to see what my super talented DT sisters did for this challenge as well as entering the challenge yourself. I would love to see what you create.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation! I really appreciate it! I hope you have a great crafty day!

Happy Fall Y'all!

Hello and Happy Wednesday!

This week the Joy's Life Design Team has been focusing on projects that use leaves!

Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year. I love the chill in the air, the great colors that mother nature creates, early evenings and all the fall decorations.
The bad part? For me, it is definitely raking up all those gorgeous leaves! My house is surrounded by trees and raking is pretty much non stop all season. UGH!

With that being said, here is my project for this week:

I cut my basket out of the doodlecharms cricut cartridge at 2". I then cut all of my leaves out of the same cartridge at 1". All I did was layer all of my leaves on the backside of the basket before I adhered it to the front of my card.  Once it was attached, I then just layered some leaves onto the front of the basket. Some are popped up with foam adhesive to add just a little bit more dimension.

Here is the inside of my card:

I love decorating the insides of my cards :)

How cute is this sentiment from the It's All Fall Puns from Joy's Life Stamps?

So cute! I love it!

To see more projects that showcase leaves, make sure and stop by the Joy's Life DT Blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my latest creation! I really do appreciate it!
I hope y'all have a great crafty day!

It's All Fall Blog Hop!

Happy Saturday!
Welcome to the It's All Fall Blog hop featuring Joy's new stamps titled, It's All Fall Puns!
I'm so happy you decided to join us!

If you came here from Megan's blog, then you are in the right spot.
If you just happened to stumble across the hop today on my blog and would like to start at the beginning, then just hop on over and see Joy of Joy's Life.

For my project, I decided to make a card to send to my daughter who is currently away at college.
While my card isn't necessarily fall themed, the It's All Fall Puns set has quite a few stamps that can be used any time of the year. That's what I love about Joy's stamps. They are so versatile!

Here is my card:

I cut the squirrel out of my create a critter cricut cartridge at 3.25" and put her on an action wobble for fun.
I kept the card pretty flat for easier mailing.

Here is the inside of the card:

The acorn was also cut out of the create a critter cartridge but at 2".
The little envelope is from Martha Stewart and I just simply cut off the flap to make it a pocket.

Here is a closeup of that adorable sentiment:

How cute is that?!?!
My daughter is going to love it! She loves anything made with Create A Critter and she thinks Joy's stamps are so fun! Not to mention the cash right? ;)

Whats a blog hop without a little candy?
I'm going to pick one person from the comments to win these cute little brads:

All you have to do for your chance to win is:

Leave me a comment on this post.

You don't have to be a follower (even though I would love it if you were) but if you are a follower, leave a second comment for a second entry.

Happy Haunting!

Hello and Happy Wednesday!

This week the Joy's Life Design Team has been showcasing Fall Home Decor projects using those fabulous Joy's Life Stamps.

I decided to take the leap and attempt to make the haunted house from the Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge.

I love Halloween! I cut my house out at 7.25" and my trees were cut out of the same cartridge at 4.75" as well as 5". It took a little time to cut out all the pieces and then assemble but it was worth it. For my windows, I cut those out of vellum. I will be adding a flameless candle underneath the house as October nears and the flickering light will shine through the vellum to give it a spooky look. I bought some spider webbing from the dollar store and draped that over the house. Hubby thought it looked cool with one of the plastic spider rings being on the house, so that got added as well. I used my SU bitty bat punch to punch out some bats to attach to the trees.

Here is a view from the top so that you can see how dimensional this project is:

No haunted house would be complete without a little flag flying overhead right?
This cute little saying comes from the Joy's Life Halloween Puns stamp set:

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation. I really appreciate it.

Don't forget, the Joy's Life DT will be showing you Fall Home Decor projects all week, so head on over there to check them out :)

I hope you have a great crafty day!

(as long as you incorporate a die cut in your project in some way)

Here is what I created for the challenge:

I used a a couple of different types of die-cutting on my card.

I hope you will join in on this challenge and play along. There is a super cute prize pack up for grabs for one lucky winner, picked by random.org from all the entries.

There are tons of inspiration from our wonderful design team. They really out did themselves!

Also, the grand opening winner was announced. Was it you?
