MCT 32nd Edition Release Blog Hop

Happy Friday!!
Welcome to the My Creative Time May 2014 Release Blog Hop!!!

I'm so happy that you decided to join us today!
If you came here from Miss Jessica's Blog, Chick-n-Scrap, then you are in the right spot.
If you just happened to stumble across the hop today on my blog and would like to start at the beginning, be sure to head over to My Creative Time and see Miss Emma!

For my project, I decided to make a little gift to give to my daughter.

For my project, I decided to make a little caddy to hold some lotion and body spray. I cut my caddy out using my Cameo and then started decorating. I used the Stripey Background Stamp to create that fun striped background on my caddy as well as the little 3x3 card. I then cut out some anchors from the Anchors & Heart Dies set using some turquoise cardstock. I used the Flower Petal Die to create that fun flower on the caddy and the Stitched Pretty Flowers & Leaves Dies to create the small flower that is on the caddy and 3x3 card. That sweet greeting on the card came from the Hey Sailor set. I finished off both projects with some ribbons and twine as well as some goosebumps.

She loved it!!

Here is a look at the entire release:

Isn't it wonderful?!?!?!

How have you enjoyed the sneaks so far?

Today we are giving you sneak peeks for 3 new sets titled:
Live, Love, Laugh & Be Happy
Pretty Butterflies & Dragonfly Dies
&
Social Media Dies

I made two cards for today.
For my first card, I made a tri shutter card. I used some butterflies from the NEW Pretty Butterflies & Dragonfly Dies as well as a sentiment from the NEW Live, Love, Laugh & Be happy Set. I also used the label and banner from the Vintage Stitched Label Dies. My flowers and leaves came from the Flower Petal Dies and the Stitched Pretty Flowers & Leaves Dies.

Here is what the card looks like closed:

And here is the card opened:

The greeting on the inside is also from the Live, Love, Laugh & Be Happy set. I stamped it onto an oval from the Surprise Pop-Out Card Die.

For my second card, I wanted to create a little card that I could easily slip into my hubby's lunch box. It's a small card only measuring 3x4. I used the Stitched Journal Die for my card base. I added some hearts from the Stitched Sweetheart & XOXO dies as well as some sequins for just a tiny bit of sparkle. For my greeting, I used the NEW Social Media Dies and the Lowercase Fun Dies

Day 3 of the MCT May Sneak Peeks!

Happy happy Wednesday!!
Welcome to Day 3 of the May Sneak Peeks for My Creative Time!
I hope you have enjoyed the sneaks so far!

Today we are giving you a sneak peek of 3 new sets titled:

Here is the card that I made that incorporated something from all 3 of these new sets:

My husband recently retired from the US Navy so these are right up my alley plus I love the beach and all things nautical!! I wanted to make my hubby a fun little card to give to him just because. I tend to leave him cards here and there for him to find from time to time. Whether it is in his lunchbox, his truck, etc. I used the Surprise Pop-Out Card die as my card base. I actually cut it out three times, once in the yellow and then one for each of my patterned papers. I did it this way so that I could also have that awesome stitching on my patterned papers. I used a anchor from the NEW Anchors & Heart Dies and layered that on top of the wave from the NEW Make A Splash Die. I did this twice so that when the card was opened, the flip out part also had the anchor and wave. For the front of my card, I stamped my greeting from the NEW Hey Sailor stamp set onto a banner from the Vintage Stitched Label Die and then I used the oval from the Surprise Pop-Out Card die for my greeting (also from the New Hey Sailor set) for the inside of my card. I finished it off by adding some homemade "enamel dots" to the top right and the bottom left.

Here is what it looks like when the card is opened:

Yup! I made a shaker card!! These are so fun to make!! I made my little porthole window and that fun little scene using the New Lost At Sea set.  My "patterned paper" was actually made using the New Stripey Background stamp. Aren't those stripes fun?!? My life preserver and greeting also came from the New Lost At Sea set.

How fun is that? I love these sets!!

Day 1 of the MCT May Sneak Peeks!

Happy Monday!!
Welcome to Day 1 of the My Creative Time sneak peeks for May!
I'm so glad you stopped by to see the sneaks!
Emma has really outdone herself with this release and you are not going to want to miss one single day!  I know I say this with every release but believe me,
this release is so A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!

Today we are giving you sneak peeks of three different sets titled:

This is what I created incorporating these 3 new sets:

On my card, I used some of the circles from the New Bunch Of Fun Circle Dies to create the main focal point of my card. Once I had those cut out, I used the New Speech Bubble Sentiments set to create my greeting. I wanted to add a little flower to my card so I created one using the Flower Petal Dies and stamped that fun script pattern onto the cream flower using the New Build A Scripty & Watercolor Background stamp set. I love having cards on hand that I can send to people just for fun, no occasion needed :) I mean who doesn't love to open the mailbox and see something other than bills right?? lol!

Happy Sunday!
I hope your weekend has been great so far!!
Today I get to show you a fun little card that features some of that gorgeous

I decided to make a center step card with lots of sparkle to give to my daughter for her graduation!
I used my cameo to cut out the card base. I stamped my sentiment using a My Creative Time stamp and added that fun grad cap, also from My Creative Time. I added a few pieces of star confetti randomly onto my card. Of course, the red bow made with the Christmas Candy Simply Sheer
was the perfect finishing touch!

Feeling toasted?

Hi crafty friends!!
Happy Thursday! One more day til the weekend!! Woot! Woot!

Today I have a really simple project to show you that I made for the May Peachy Keen Linky Party.
When I got my May Stamp Club, I couldn't wait to sit down and play with all the super fun images.
So far May has been super busy though and I haven't had a chance to play with them as much as I would like yet. I did manage to put this cute little treat bag together last night in just a few minutes.

When I saw this smore candy bars in the store, I grabbed a few of them cause they were perfect for this month's stamps. I one in a clear treat bag and just made a quick topper. For my topper, I used some kraft cardstock and used a border punch for a fun little edge along the bottom. I then layered some woodgrain papers and some green paper to the top. I stamped that cute little sentiment and added that adorable little smore to the front and finished it off with some ribbon tied into a knot. Super cute!!

MCT Whatever Wednesday

Happy Wednesday crafty friends!!
Today over at the My Creative Time blog, it is Whatever Wednesday!
This is the day that we can make any project that we would like that incorporates those fabulous stamps and/or dies from My Creative Time.

I recently needed to make a get well card and with Miss Emma's stamps and dies, I had this pretty card ready in minutes.

I love the Build A Pretty Flower stamp set!! I used it to created those pretty pink flowers, I love the watercolor effect that you get when you layer the flowers! So pretty! I used the large scallop from the Fun Stitched Edges dies to create my scalloped border. I hung a little tag with my greeting from the bow using the Teeny Tag Greetings set. I added a few pearls in the top corners and along the scallop and used a sparkle gel pen to give my flowers a little shimmer.

MCT Designer Challenge

Hi crafty friends!!
Happy Thursday!!

Today starts a new challenge over at the My Creative Time blog!
It's a color challenge!! Using the photo below as your color inspiration, create a card, layout or project of your choice.

I decided to make a tag and incorporate some flowers as well as the colors:

For my tag, I cut two tags from the Tag Dies and layered them on top of each other. I made the light blue tag just a little longer so that it would create a "ruffle" look since they are scallops. I then used a pocket from the Fun Pockets set and adhered that to my tag. The flowers are also from the Fun Pockets set. I simply stamped them twice, colored them, and fussy cut them out so I could layer them on top of my dark blue pocket. I cut a oval out of light blue cardstock using the Stitched Oval Die and then stamped my greeting using a sentiment from the More Of My Favorite Sayings stamp set onto it using some versamark ink so that I could emboss it using white embossing powder. I added a twine bow to the front of the pocket and also to tie off my tulle at the top of the tag. I think it came out so adorable!

Don't forget to stop  by the My Creative Time blog to see all the fabulous projects that my design team sisters created and enter the challenge! I would love to see what you create!

I am also entering my tag into the following challenges:

A friend of mine is going on a cruise this year, so I thought this would be the perfect little card to send to her.
I found this box card by Lori Whitlock in the Silhouette Online Store (design id 57262). I added a little sentiment from the Springtime In Paris stamp set by My Creative Time and of course I had to add a Simply White Rumple Ribbon bow to finish it off.
