Shopping Our Stash #264: Card Shark

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week, challenge #264 is....
Card Shark
(Use A Playing Card)

Here is the project that I created for this challenge:

My daughter and I are huge Harry Potter fans and I thought it would be cute to make something to hold change in the car or purse.  A few months ago, I bought a deck of Harry Potter Playing Cards. The original idea when I bought them was to use them in my PL album, either as a playing card or by fussy cutting out the images. When I was shuffling through them for this challenge, I came across this one with money on it and knew it would be perfect for what I wanted to achieve. I simply covered a empty Altoids tin with some cardstock, wrapped some ribbon around and glued the card to the top. I finished it off with some sequins and left the ribbon extra long to make it easier to tie repeatedly

Be sure to head over to the Shopping Our Stash Challenge Blog to see what my design team sisters created. I hope you will decide to make a project and join us, I would love to see what you create!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!
I hope you have a great crafty day!

  3. Hello Stacey: I love to see this little tins transformed into something this beautiful and crafty. This is so much better than having a plastic bag holding your change.
Awesome way to decorate it, very vintage!! it looks like you could buy it at one of the shops on Diagon Alley!!!
