Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at
This week challenge #285 is....
Stickle Me Elmo!
(Use some Stickles on your project)
Here is what I created:
I decided to use this challenge as a way to get a jump start on some of my Valentine's. I kept my card pretty simple so that it would be pretty easy to mail. I used a scallop rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs and stamped my greeting onto the bottom corner. That cute little girl came from the Sent With Love SVG file from KaDoodle Bug Designs. After I had her all cut out, I stamped a sweet little face onto her and then assembled her. I popped her bangs and the middle heart on her banner up with some foam tape for some added dimension. I brought out my trusty red stickles, which I haven't used in a really long time, and applied a thin coating to the hearts. I used a small and cheap paint brush to spread the stickles so that I got a pretty even layer of coverage. I added some pink pearl "earrings" and a few sequins to my card to finish it off. I think it looks kinda plain but I also really like that the focus is on that cute little SVG.
Neglected items from my stash that I used are:
- Red Stickles! I can't think of the last time I used colored stickles! (pretty funny cause I used to be obsessed and had to have every color at the time)
- Sent With Love SVG. I don't use my Cricut and SVG's like I used to.
- Peachy Keen Face Stamps
- Pearls. I normally gravitate towards sequins/bling/enamel dots lately.
Be sure to stop by the Shopping Our Stash challenge blog to see the amazing creations my design team sisters created. I hope you will decide to play along with us, I would love to see what you create.

This is just too stinking cute!!
ReplyDeleteOh, she is cute as a button, love the rosy cheeks and the sweet smile. I don't know what cutting files are but what ever they are, she is adorable, it's like those little paper dolls I used to play with and dress up after fussy cutting their dresses and accessories.
ReplyDeleteLove the pop of red on the hearts covered with stickles, perfect for this sweetie.
Fab card Stacey.
Hugs,
Maria.

There is something so sweet and girly about a scalloped border-- perfect mat for this cutie! My red Stickles are the first bottle I bought... they are on their last bit of goop because the red is so festive for holidays like xmas and Valentine's...
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute card and great that you used all those neglected items. The red stickles look great. I also mainly just use the white/clear ones.
ReplyDeleteFab card Stacey!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!
You have inspired me to start thinking about getting a jump start on my Valentine projects as well!
