Sunshine Kisses

Hi everyone and happy happy Monday!
Today starts a new challenge over at the Bitten By The Bug 2 Challenge Blog!
The theme for this challenge is...

Summer Solstice/Sun

Here is a look at the card that I created:

This was so easy to do! I started with a yellow card base and layered it with a piece of white cardstock that I die cut with a wonky rectangle frame. I found this fun saying, along with the images, in the Hello Sweet Summer cartridge with the Cricut Access. I cut out the sentiment with some very dark gray cardstock and the hearts and sun from the same yellow that I used for my card base. I added a bit of glossy accents to the hearts and stars and Voila! Easy peasy!!

Sailing By To Say Hi!

Hi everyone!
I hope you are having a fabulous day!
Today is my day to take over the Paper Nest Dolls blog and I created a fun shaped card (I love those) to share with you all today.

To create my card, I used a Sailboat cut that I found in the Silhouette Store and welded two pieces together to form my base and then assembled the boat pieces on top of the base. I used a metal die to cut out some waves and then layered that along the bottom edge. I colored that adorable Emma With Anchor image with my Copics and popped her up onto the front with some foam tape. I added my sentiment, some white doodles and a little heart with glossy accents and my card was done!

I think she is so cute and definitely ready to do a little sailing!

Hello Summer

Hi everyone!
I hope you are having a fabulous day!
I have a card to share with you today that I made with a few challenges in mind.

They are:
&

Here is a look at the card that I created:

Summer fun for me is definitely going to the beach and relaxing. I've had this stamp set from Hello Bluebird for awhile now and never got it inky. These challenges were the perfect time to pull it out and play with it. I started my card by doing a little ink blending for the ocean and using a cloud stencil to create the sky. I added some Kraft cardstock for my sand layer and trimmed down my panel. I covered a white card base with some blue patterned paper and added my beach panel to the center.  I used my Misti to stamp my sentiment using a set from Neat & Tangled and added a yellow frame.  I stamped out the Hippo, Umbrella, Pail, Ball, Towel and drink with some Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored in the images with my Copic markers. After they were colored, I used my Scan N Cut to cut them out and layered them to create my scene.  I felt like it needed just a little something so I printed out a little sailboat clipart that I found for free on Google, colored it, fussy cut it out and added it to my scene.
I'm so pleased with how this card turned out! I think it is so fun and cute!!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!
I hope you have a great crafty day!

Cape Cod Resilience Fund with Jenn Shurkus Stamps

Hi everyone!
I hope your day is off to a great start!
Today I have a few projects to share with you that I created to help fellow crafter and cardmaker, Jenn Shurkus with a cause that she holds near and dear to her heart. Jenn Shurkus lives on Cape Cod and is raising money for the Cape Cod Resilience Fund. This fund will help small businesses on Cape Cod who are experiencing financial difficulties due to Covid-19. This fund will be around for the long run, and continue to help small businesses out in the future. YOU can help by purchasing one of Jenn's exclusive Cape Cod stamp sets. For each set sold between June 15th- July 1st, $10 will be donated to the CCRF. Another way you can help? Share this with your creative friends and help spread the word! More details can be found on Jenn's site here: https://shurk.us/CCRF

Here is a look at the projects that I created to share with you today using that super cute Cape Cod stamp set that Jenn sent to me.

As soon as I saw the lobster in this stamp set, my brain immediately went to one of my favorite TV show, Friends. On the show, the term Lobster refers to someone that you are meant to be with forever. I thought it would be fun to create a card with that theme in mind for my hubby. I stamped a bunch of the Lobster images onto a piece of white cardstock and used a stitched die to cut it out. I dipped the end of an embossing stylus into some gray ink to add the fun polka dots. I used my computer to create my sentiment and matted it onto a piece of red cardstock, tied a bow and added the image panel to a red card base. I stamped another Lobster onto a piece of white cardstock and colored it with my Copic markers. I used some heart dies to cut it out, popping it up onto another heart with some foam tape and adding it to my card front. Super easy to do but I love how it turned out!

My second card is a beach themed card using the fun adirondack chairs from the stamp set.

I grew up at the beach and still live fairly close to the beach and while I do love the fall and winter months, there is nothing quite like relaxing at the beach and listening to the ocean and the seagulls. So peaceful! I started this card by creating a white card base and added some bright striped patterned paper on top. I added a piece of turquoise cardstock to one side and a bright pink circle to the center. I stamped those chairs and the umbrella onto a piece of white cardstock and colored the chairs with my Copic markers and paper pieced the umbrella with more of the bright pink paper. I created a basic background by adding sand, ocean and sky with my Copics. I used a stamp set from Lawn Fawn for the Seagulls and die cut it out using a circle die. I popped it up onto my pink circle with foam tape and used a die from MFT for my puffy cloud, which I also popped up with foam tape. I stamped my greeting from a My Creative Time stamp set, notched the ends and added that to my card front. I finished my card by adding some doodling with a black sharpie pen.

I decided that it would be fun if I made the above beach themed card into a little gift set so I created a fun little treat to accompany the card.

I started by using a crate die and creating my little crate from some white cardstock. I added some pierced waves and stitched sand layers to the front. I colored that fun Cape Cod sign, adirondack chair and umbrella with my Copic markers and fussy cut them out. I placed them onto my crate and added some nuvo drops for a little sparkle. I filled my crate with some crinkle paper and some yummy salt water taffy!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really do appreciate it!

Cheers To You Old Sport

Hi everyone!
I hope you are having a fabulous day so far!
I wanted to pop on here real quick and share with you a card that I made with a few
different challenges in mind.

The challenges that I will be entering are:
&

And here is a look at the card that I created:

I started with a Kraft card base and layered some patterned papers on top, according to the sketch, from a 6x6 MME stack. I colored that handsome fella with some Copic markers and then cut him out using my Scan N Cut. I popped him up with some foam tape and then added my sentiment strip right below him. I finished off my card with a bit of black doodling along the perimeter. Masculine cards are so hard for me, I'm not sure why. I think maybe because I always want to try and add a bit of sparkle to just about everything I make?? lol! I think this one turned out pretty good though.

I really appreciate it!
I hope you have a great crafty day!

I'm So Glad You Happened To Me

Hi everyone and happy happy Monday!
Today starts a new challenge over at the Bitten By The Bug 2 Challenge Blog!
The theme for this challenge is...

Wedding or Anniversary

Here is a look at the card that I created:

I started by covering a white card base with some light coral patterned paper. I cut a piece of polka dot patterned paper slightly smaller and then distressed the edges. I adhered it to my card front at a slight angle and added some doodles with a black sharpie pen. I used the Shapes feature in Cricut Design Space to cut my heart. I hung it off the side a bit and then trimmed off the excess before stamping my sentiment. I used the Sweethearts cartridge to cut out the silhouette of the couple and popped it up onto my card with some foam tape. I used some pink thread to tie a little bow on the girls ponytail and finished my card with some sequins, Nuvo drops and some hearts from punches. I was going for a shabby chic/vintage feel and while I don't think I nailed it, I think turned out pretty lol!

You Are My Summer

Hi everyone!
I hope you are having a wonderful day!
I have some pretty exciting news to share with you all!
I have been asked to be a part of the Paper Nest Dolls Design Team!
Yay! I'm so excited to share with you the projects I make using those adorable stamps!

Here is a look at the card that I created to share with you all today using a new stamp that hit the store earlier this week for the June Release.

I created my card base from some white cardstock and layered some pretty pink patterned paper on top. I added some striped patterned paper, a little scallop border and added some crochet thread. For my main focal piece, I die cut two circles, one from yellow and one from white. I inked around the edges of my white circle with some blue ink & added some Kraft cardstock to act as sand to create my scene. I colored that adorable digi called, Surfer Emma with my Copic markers and used my Scan N Cut to cut her out. I popped her up onto my card with some foam tape and added a small amount of gold glitter glue here and there on the sand for some sparkle. I completed my card by heat embossing my sentiment, adding a palm tree as well as some enamel dots.

I think Surfer Emma is so incredibly cute and makes such a perfect addition to a summer themed card!

Salty Hair, Don't Care!

Hi crafty friends!
I'm so excited to be a guest designer for Digi Doodle Studios!

Digi Doodle Studios is a digi stamp company that has some of the cutest images!! They even have a monthly challenge blog that you can find HERE. I fell in love with so many of the images and have had so much fun coloring up a storm! I'm fairly new to digi stamping but I have to say, I am really liking it! There is so much versatility with how big or small you want your image to be, not to mention the storage space saved in my shrinking craft room lol!

Here is a look at the card that I created to share with you all today:

Isn't she sweet?! Her name is Rainbow Sky and I printed her out onto some Hammermill Digital paper and colored her with my Copic markers. Once I had her colored in, I used a die from MFT to cut out my image. I created my sand, ocean and sky freehand and tied a little bit of white crochet thread along the top edge and tied it off with a bow. I added a sentiment from The Greeting Farm and added some little white doodles here and there with a white gel pen. I covered a white cardbase with some bright yellow and white polka dot paper and popped up my image panel onto the front with foam tape. So super easy!  I think she is just adorable and doesn't she look so happy to be at the beach??
