Beaker Bubble

 Hi everyone and happy Friday!!
I hope you have some fun crafty plans for the weekend. We have been having some cold and icky weather in my area so I will be staying indoors for sure and hopefully getting some crafting done. I was able to actually make a card yesterday with a few challenges in mind.

The challenges that I will be entering are:

Here is a look at the card that I created:

I had so much fun making this! I started by stamping that adorable little chemist onto a piece of white Hammermill paper. I used some masking paper to mask him off and used an Oval Stencil to create a little frame in gray around him. I liked it but thought it needed a bit more so while everything was still masked off, I added a brick stencil on top of the oval stencil and used some more of the same gray ink to create my wall & added inked a strip of gray along the bottom to act as the floor. Once I was happy with that, I removed the stencils and the masking paper and colored my Chemist with some Copic markers. I used a Dotted Die to cut out my image and then popped it up with some foam tape onto a piece of gray cardstock. I heat embossed my sentiment onto a piece of black cardstock and used more foam tape to pop it up. I completed my card by adding some doodling around the perimeter with a black sharpie pen and some green Nuvo drops. I just think this turned out so cute!

Adore You Valentine Card

Hi everyone and happy happy Saturday!
Any fun plans for the weekend?
I have been trying to get my craft space a bit more organized this past week but decided to take a little break and play with my new club kit from Spellbinders.

Here is a look at what I created:

I started by creating my card base from some white card stock and adhering a piece of light pink cardstock on top. I cut my frame pieces in white and layered them on top of the pink cardstock.  I die cut the inner floral frame out four times so that I could layer them on top of each other and give them a bit of dimension onto my card front. I stamped my floral image, did some simple coloring and then used the coordinating heart dies to cut it out. I wanted it to be even with my floral frame so I layered it with three additional hearts before backing it onto a piece of vellum and adhering it to the center of my window. I added some green leaves to two of the corners, added some pink flowers and completed the look with little tiny pearl centers. I finished my card by adding some white Nuvo drops to the centers of the flowers on the floral frame and a sentiment strip from Simon Says Stamp.

I just love how this turned out!

I will be entering my card into the following challenges:

Here is a look at the card that I created:

I have been having a lot of fun making Slimline style cards lately and was so excited to see the sketch from Sketch N Scrap. I started by creating a card base from some Kraft cardstock and then doodled around the perimeter with a black sharpie pen. I added some red gingham patterned paper along the bottom and then added my white scalloped rectangle layer on top. I stamped that adorable image from Stamping Bella with some Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with my Copic markers. I used the coordinating die to cut it out and popped it up onto my card with some foam tape. I heat embossed my greeting onto a piece of black cardstock with some white embossing powder and added that to the bottom, making sure to tuck it slightly under my image. I completed my card wtih some white Nuvo drops and red enamel dots.

I just love those little chicks!!

Here is a look at the card that I created:

I told ya it was simple lol! Sorry for the picture, I wish it was a bit better but it is really overcast in my area and this was the best I could get.

I started by creating a Slimline card base from some red cardstock. I used the Large Slimline with Sliders Die from Lawn Fawn to cut out a piece of red patterned paper to cover the front of my card. I used the same die set to cut out my white layer, stamping the sentiment from Concord & 9th with some Versafine Black Onyx Ink towards the bottom. I wrapped some crochet thread around, tied it with a bow and popped up my panel with foam tape onto the front of the card. I stamped that adorable little girl from the XOXO stamp from Penny Black with some Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her with my Copic markers. I fussy cut her out and then popped her up with more foam tape for even more dimension. I completed my card with a small heart, some white Nuvo drops and some doodling with a black pen. So cute!

Hippo Birthday!!

Hi everyone and a Happy Happy 2021!!
I hope your New Year is off to an amazing start!

Today I have a cute birthday card to share with you that I made with a few challenges in mind.
The challenges that I will be entering are:

--Use Your Stuff: #413 All About The New (I used a new stamp)--
--Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog: New (I used a new stamp)
&

Here is a look at the card that I created for the above challenges:

As soon as I saw the sketch from MFT, my mind went straight to these fun little hippos in the Picture Perfect Party Animals stamp set. I've had this stamp set in my stash for a few months and never got it inky...until now. I started by stamping my image with some Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a piece of white paper and coloring up those adorable hippos with my Copic markers. Once I had them colored in, I trimmed my image, leaving a border so that it mimicked a Polaroid style photo, and stamped my greeting underneath the image. I set that aside and started building my card base. I started with some more white cardstock and covered it with some striped patterned paper. I doodled around the perimeter with a black sharpie pen and started adding some stars. I used a couple of different die sets for my stars and cut them all from some white paper, coloring them with Copic markers so they matched my image perfectly. Once I had most of my stars where I wanted them, I popped up my image panel with some foam tape and added the rest of the stars. I added some sequins, white Nuvo drops and some clear Wink of Stella to my stars to complete my card.

I think it is so fun and those hippos look like they are having a blast!! lol!

Copic Colors Used:
Hippos: W7, W5, W3, W1, W0, BV20, R20, R00, R01
Stars: R83, R81, YG01, YG03, B12, B00, Y06, Y08
