Make The Cards: Featured Creator!

 Hi everyone and happy Monday!

I'm so happy to be a Featured Creator this week for the
They have some fun challenges to play along with weekly and this week is no exception!

The theme this week is....

and here is a look at the card that I created:

This card was really fun to make! I started by getting some Bristol Smooth Cardstock and a small polka dot stencil and creating my dots with some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink. Once I had a sheet full of polka dots, I set that aside to dry a bit while I worked on the rest of the card. I stamped that adorable Bunny and Bird from Hello Bluebird and colored them with my Copic Markers. Once I had them colored in, I used some masking paper to cover them up so that I could create some scenery behind them. I used a cloud stencil with more Salvaged Patina Oxide ink and a Grassy Edge stencil with some Mowed Lawn Oxide ink. I used a circle die to cut out my image and backed it onto a Vellum Circle. I die cut my polka dotted background and placed my image onto the side, cutting off the excess. I die cut my greeting and added it onto a piece of white cardstock so that it didn't get lost among the dots.
I tied some thread around my panel, backed it onto a piece of vellum and popped the entire piece onto my card base with some foam tape for a little dimension. So cute!!

Copic Colors Used:
--Bunny: E40, E41, E43, R30, R000--
--Bird and Leaves: B0000, B00, B01, R30, YG01--

Mermaid Hair...Don't Care!

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a fabulous day so far!
Today I am back with another fun card with a Mermaid theme 🐠

This card actually came about because I was practicing my Ink Blending.
I always seem to struggle a bit with that so practice, practice, practice!! I started out by blending Chipped Sapphire, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Inks onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock. Once I had the color blend that I was trying for, I flicked a bit of White Gold Gansai Tambi Metallic Watercolor onto my cardstock and set it to the side to dry. I thought my ink blend looked a bit like water so I pulled out some Mermaid stamps and decided to color up this sweet girl from The Rabbit Hole Designs. Once I had her and her fishy friends colored up with my Copic Markers, I used my Scan N Cut to cut them out. I made a card base from some white cardstock and added a doodle border with a black Micron pen around the perimeter. I cut my Ink Blending piece into a 2" strip and adhered it to the center of my card front. I heat embossed my greeting onto a piece of black cardstock with some white embossing powder and popped it up, along with my Mermiad, onto my card with some foam tape along. I positioned my fish to set a scene and completed my card with some white Nuvo Drops.

I love how this turned out and I think she is just the sweetest!

Hello Slimline Card

Hi crafty friends and happy Friday!
I hope you are doing well and have some fun things planned for the weekend.
I am hoping to get outside and do a little more gardening. We have been having a bit of a cold front come through so not sure if that is going to happen or not. Fingers crossed!
One of the great things about papercrafting and stamping is that since I can't get outdoors, I can pull out some stamps and bring the outdoors inside and pretend I'm gardening haha!

Here is a look at the card that I would like to share with you today:

I stamped my flowers, masking off some of them so that I could create a little field of daises.  Once I had the flowers stamped, I did some simple coloring with my Copic markers and used a stitched slimline die to cut it out. Once it was cut out, I used a light blue Copic marker to go around the edges, as well as around my flowers, to create the feeling of a sky. I stamped my greeting and then adhered my image panel onto a eyelet edge slimline die and popped it up onto my gray cardbase with foam tape. I stamped those little bees (adorable!), colored them with Copics and then fussy cut them out. I added a bit of shimmer to their wings with a shimmer pen and then popped them up with more foam tape. I completed my card with a few sequins and white Nuvo drops for a little interest.

I think this turned out so fun!

Copic Colors Used:
--Flowers: C00, C0, C1, Y11, Y13, Y15, Y18, G21, G24, G46--
--Bees: C2, C4, Y11, Y13, Y15, B0000--
--Sky: B0000, B000--

You Are Mermazing!

Hi crafty friends and happy Tuesday!
I hope your week is off to a fabulous start so far!

Today I have a Mermaid themed card to share with you that I created.

This was really pretty simple to put together. I started by creating my cardbase from some heavy weight cardstock and then covering the front with a piece of striped patterned paper. I used a Zig Zag Stitched Rectangular die from MFT to die cut my white cardstock and used a circle die to cut out my window. I popped it up onto some pretty patterned paper to act as my sky and then adhered the entire piece onto my card front. I used the Be A Mermaid stamp from Simon Says Stamp for my Mermaid Tail and did a bit of simple coloring with my Copics. I fussy cut it out and tucked the bottom behind my window, making sure to have the fin come out of the window. I added my greeting and tied a bow at the top of my card with some crochet thread. I finished the card with a few white doodles with my gel pen, along with some pearls, sequins and glossy accents.

Easy peasy!

Copic Colors Used:
--Mermaid Tail: BG10, BG11, BG13, BG15, BG49, BG75--

Happy Little Birthday

 Hi everyone and happy Friday!!
Today I have a super adorable (at least I think so lol) card to share with you that I made for a few different challenges.

The challenges that I will be entering are:
&

Fun challenges right? Here is a look at the card that I created to play along:

I think this little stamp from Sugar Pea Designs is just the cutest!  I have fond memories of my daddy  watching Bob Ross on TV and being mesmerized at the painting that was taking shape while he watched. I finally pulled it out and inked it up for the first time, smiling the entire time I was coloring. Not only for the memories but for the cuteness factor, I mean c'mon! lol! Anywho, I'm rambling again. Back to the card. I love the simplicity of the sketch and just rolled with it. I created my A2 card base from some white cardstock and cut out another white layer using a stitched die. I colored my pieces with my Copic markers and adhered them to my card, using double thickness foam tape for my artist. I heat embossed my greeting with some white embossing powder onto a piece of black cardstock and popped that up just a bit using a single layer of foam tape. I completed my card with some black doodles along the perimeter with a black Micron pen and some glossy accents on the paints and paint can.

I just adore how this turned out!

Thanks Slimline Card

Hi crafty friends and happy Thursday!
Today I have a Slimline style card to share with you that features NO STAMPING! What!!??!!
Here is a look at my card:

I was finally able to sit down and play with my Spellbinders kit that I received last month! I had so much fun doing this card while watching a bit of TV. Took me back to my Cross Stitch Days haha! Anywho, I'm starting to ramble. This was so super easy to do! I started with a white Slimline cardbase and die cut my Stitched Thanks from the April 2021 Small Die Of The Month from some more white cardstock. The hardest part of this card was getting all those little die cut dots out and cleaned up but even that wasn't too awful :) Once it was ready to go, I pulled some DMC floss colors that I thought would pair well together and started stitching. Once I had that complete. I die cut my THANKS letters from some pale pink cardstock, adhered them and then popped up my stitched panel onto my cardbase with some foam tape. I completed my card with a bit of shimmer on the letters with a Clear Wink of Stella pen and some tiny little pink pearls here and there. I love doing this card and think it turned out so pretty!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
