Happy Easter

Hi everyone!
I hope you are doing well!

This has been a super busy month so I haven't been able to craft as much as I would have liked but I decided before I started my housework today, I would pop into the craft room and get a card knocked out.

Here is the card that I created:

When I saw this little bunny that Jaded Blossom released earlier this month, I knew I had to have it! I have been itching to play with it so I am super excited that I allowed myself a little "me time" to play.

Here's how I created my card...I started by using a polka dot stencil and some Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to create my background. I die cut my scallop frame four times, stacked them on top of each other and added them on top of my polka dotted background. I adhered the polka dot piece to a white A2 cardbase and started building my bunny. I cut out my bunny twice, once using gray cardstock and then again using white. I built my bunny, coloring some of the white pieces pink with a Copic marker and popping up the hands, feet and head with foam tape for some dimension. I die cut a little bow for her hair and a little Easter egg for her to hold and then added my bunny to a white stitched oval. Using foam tape, I popped up the oval onto a vellum oval before adding it to the card. I stamped my greeting, added it to the bottom of the oval and Voila! Super cute and easy card!

I would like to play along with the following challenges:

Sending Smiles

Hi everyone and happy Saturday!
Today starts a new challenge over at the Di's Digi Designs Challenge Blog! Yay!

You don't need to use a Di's Digi image or even a digital stamp to enter the challenge though, as long as you follow the theme. You can find more about the rules and requirements on the challenge blog.

The challenge that started today is....
"2 of a Kind"
(use 2 embellies, 2 papers, etc.)

Here is a look at the project that I created:

How cute is that little Springtime Bear*?
I printed out my image onto some white Hammermill cardstock and colored it in using my Copic markers. Once I had it colored in, I stamped my sentiment underneath and then used a scallop rectanlge die to cut it out. I layered 2 pieces of patterned paper to create 2 stripes onto my Kraft cardbase and added some dooling around the perimeter. I added 2 bows, one to the bear and one to the die cut rectangle before popping my card up with foam tape. So sweet!

Copic Colors Used:
--Bear: E31, E33, E35, E40, E41, E42, R20, R00--

You Are Loved

Today starts a new challenge over at the Di's Digi Designs Challenge Blog! Yay!

You don't need to use a Di's Digi image or even a digital stamp to enter the challenge though, as long as you follow the theme. You can find more about the rules and requirements on the challenge blog.

The challenge that started today is....
"3 Colors and One of Them Must Be Red Or Pink"

Here is a look at the project that I created:

For my 3 colors, I went with Black, Red and Green.
I started by creating my A2 card by layering some patterned papers on top of a white cardbase. I printed out my image, Wendy Rose, onto a piece of Hammermill cardstock and colored it in with my Copic markers. I printed her once again onto some patterned paper so that I could paper piece her little dress. I die cut a black scallop rectangle and popped up my image with foam tape. I used a sentiment strip from Simon Says Stamps and placed it under my image. I added a bit of glossy accents to her hair ties and some black doodling to complete my card. So cute!

Copic Colors used:
--Skin: E50, E51, E21, E04, R20--
--Hair: C3, C4, C5, C8, 100--
--Roses: R27, R29, R39, G94, G99--
--Shoes: R27, R29--
