Hey Everyone! Welcome to Jaded Blossom's October Stamp Release Blog Hop!
When my kiddos were small, we would sprinkle some Reindeer food on our lawn every Christmas Eve as the sun was setting. I loved that tradition! I recently became a Grandma, actually a Mimi, so I thought these little Reindeer that were just released were the perfect thing to make up some Reindeer food to give to my daughter so she could start the tradition with her little one.
Here's how I made it...
I started by building a little booth by using the Build A Booth Die and the Build A Booth: Treat Box Add Ons. I used the Reindeer Feed and stamped my greeting using some Versafine Black Ink and popped it up with foam tape at an angle. I used the Christmas Banner Dies for my holly string and the Street Lamp Die: Christmas Add Ons for my little red bows to decorate my box, as well as some small black enamel dots to act as my nail heads. Once my box was complete, I started building that sweet little reindeer. For him I used the Gnome Friends: Reindeer Die and the Reindeer Faces. I tied a little bell around his neck and attached him the the front of my booth.
Inside is a small bag of Reindeer feed (oatmeal and Christmas cupcake sprinkles).
I think this turned out so cute!!
For my second project, I decided to make a couple of Christmas tags.
I used the Reindeer Face Stencil and inked up the reindeer on a piece of white cardstock using the following distress oxide inks: Tea Dye, Vintage Photo and Black Soot. Once it was dry, I used the Rounded Tag die to cut it out and added it to a piece of gold glitter cardstock, also cut using the Rounded Tag Die. I stamped the To: and From: using the Gnome Peeking stamp set , cut it out using the Label Shape Dies 1 and popped it up with foam tape to the center of my tag. I added a little sprig of greenery under a bow that I created using the Bow Dies and glued that the the top of the tag. I threaded some white and gold twine through the hole, leaving the tails extra long since I'm not sure of the gift it will get attached to just yet.
For my second tag, I used the same sheet of Reindeer faces that I inked up earlier, only I cut them out using the scallop pieces that come with the Rounded Tag Die to decorate a white tag layer.
I think they are so pretty! I love lots of shimmer at the holidays!
