MCT's Flip Flop Day Blog Hop!!!

With school getting out and so many kids are starting their summer breaks, I thought it would be cute to make a little gift to give.

First up is the little card. I used the 3x3 tri fold card die from the Card Sentiments set for my base. I then added my sentiment and those cute little flip flops from the Sit Back & Relax set. I finished it off with some tulle and some little bows made with embroidery floss.

To go with my card, I made a little treat holder using the Treat Slider Box Die. I used the Sit Back & Relax set again for the flip flops. Those little flowers on the flip flops and the candy are from the Stitched Button Dies.

I just love it!! The flip flops are so precious and I have a feeling I will be using that fun sentiment a lot as well!!

My Creative Time Designer Challenge

Hi crafty friends & happy Thursday!!

Today starts a new challenge over at the My Creative Time blog!

For this challenge, you are challenged to create a Patriotic project that uses a color palette AND a sketch.

 AND

Here is the card that I created for the challenge:

I used some of the stars from the 3 Star Stitched Dies and layered them onto my card front. The tiny stars came from the 4x4 Journal Die + More set. I then added a strip of burlap cardstock and topped it off with a strip of red cardstock. I added some linen thread and tied it into a little bow. For my sentiment, I used one of the stars from the 3 Star Stitched dies and used a stamp from the My Little Firecracker stamp set and heat embossed it with some gold embossing powder. I love how it turned out and it isn't too bulky either which will make it very easy to mail. I love when that happens :)

My Creative Time: Scrapping The Little Things

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!!

Today at the My Creative Time blog, it is Scrapping The Little Things.

This is the day that we create a scrapbook page, smash book page or a project life page. 

Today we are showing you layouts based on the following sketch:

For my layout, I wanted to create a page that I could put into a frame to display in my home.

One year, my hubby and I took a trip back to our honeymoon spot and spent a weekend there while my mom kept our kids for the weekend. This is the only picture where we are both in the picture, thanks to a random person walking by who graciously took it for us :) 

For the layout, I used my Cameo to cut out that big pink circle. I used the Lowercase Fun Dies to cut out the word ADORE for my title. I cut out a strip of the blue cardstock and added a fun scallop edge to it by using the Fun Stitched Edges Dies. The "You And Me" is from the Circle Tab Sentiments stamp set. After it was stamped I punched it out with a 1" circle punch and then layered it on top of one of the circles from the Bunch Of Fun Circles Dies and then layered that on top of the Scallop Circle from the Scallop & Stitched Circle Die set. The tiny little yellow heart by the "You and Me" came from the 4x4 Journal Die + More set. I added some faux stitching with my white gel pen as well as a few enamel dots. I put my finished layout into a white 8x10 frame and it is now proudly displayed in my home :)

My Creative Time--Try Me Tuesday

Today over at the My Creative Blog, it is Try Me Tuesday!

Today we are showing you projects that show the technique called Cluster Stamping.

It's basically where you heat emboss an image or sentiment and then stamp directly over that to completely cover it. Once your stamping is done, you gently wipe away the ink that is on top of the embossing to reveal your image or sentiment.

Here is the card that I created using this technique:

To create my card, I stamped the Happy Birthday found on the Polka Dot Surprise stamp set with some versamark ink and then heat embossed it with some clear embossing powder. I then took one of the circular shapes from the Build A Pretty Flower stamp set and stamped it randomly onto my white cardstock using different colors of ink. After I wiped off the extra ink that was laying on top of my sentiment, I added some ribbon to the corners and added a few iridescent sequins and voila!! Really simple card but the technique makes quite an impact!

I decided to make a fun little tropical card to send to someone just to say Hi!

 (or more appropriately for my card Aloha ;) )

I wanted to make a fun, bright, tropical card that screamed summer! 

Isn't that little girl from KaDoodle Bug Designs the cutest? I paired her up with some super fun & bright patterned papers for my card as well as some awesome stamps and dies from My Creative Time and of course that adorable face from Peachy Keen and I was able to achieve the bright, summery card that I wanted :)
