Holiday Card Workshop Day 1

Happy Monday!

Today I would like to share with you a card that I made for Day 1 of the 

Holiday Card Workshop 2014

Today I fell in love with the card that was shown to us by Debby Hughes.

On her card, she used a simple but great card design and she showed something called "tag dipping"

Here is the card that I created based off of her card and the technique she showed.

For my card, I kept the same layout that Debby used but just changed up my colors to silver and red.

This card is so much prettier in person. For some reason I could not get a good picture of it tonight. I used a really pretty silver embossing powder from Stampin' Up on my tag as well as my snowflake. I added some blotches onto my white card layer using some silver smooch spritz. This card really sparkles!! My snowflake, tag, stitched card layer as well as my "believe" are all dies from My Creative Time. The card layer as well as the tag are both popped up with some foam adhesive. 

I was able to produce 3 of these cards:

I'm pretty excited that I now have 3 cards ready to go for Christmas :)

Today I have a fun little card to show you that I made with a super cute file from KaDoodle Bug Designs titled, Out Of This World.

Currently in the KBD Challenge group on FB, the challenge is anything Space Related. As long as it uses a KBD file of course ;) 

This is what I created:

I wanted to keep my card pretty simple and not embellish too much so that this may given to a male or female. I used the astronaut and the moon from the Out Of This World file from KaDoodle Bug Designs and added a little bit of star confetti to keep the space feel. That awesome sentiment came from the More Of My Favorite Sayings stamp set by My Creative Time.

Of course, I just had to add an action wobble to my astronaut so that he could have some movement :)

The leaves are finally starting to turn colors in my area and the temps are cooling down a bit!

WooHoo!!

Autumn is my absolute favorite time of the year. I decided to make a card that shows a cute little girl playing in some leaves, something my kiddo's use to do when they were little.

My stitched card layers came from the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies+More set from My Creative Time. This cute little girl can be found in the Autumn Kids set by KaDoodle Bug Designs. Of course, I think she is just darling with her cute little face from the Christmas In July Face Assortment from Peachy Keen Stamps. I added some chalk to her cheeks as well as some freckles with my white gel pen. I added a greeting from the Seasonal Greetings set from My Creative Time to the top right of my card and a bow to the bottom left.

Trick Or Treat

Today I would like to share with you one last Halloween project from me for this year. 

I can't believe it is almost Halloween! Before we know it, Christmas will be upon us! 

For my projects today, I made 2 candy boxes to give to my kiddos.

I cut out each box from a file that I found in the Silhouette Store titled, 3D Scallop Label Decorative Gift Box (design id#66531). Once I added my patterned papers, I got to work building those awesome skulls from KaDoodle Bug Designs. For my son's box, I used the Boy Skull and added just a few enamel dots to the upper right corner of the box. For my daughter's box, I used the Girly Skull and added some iridescent sequins randomly onto the box front. Both skulls were popped up with some foam adhesive. Once my box was built, I filled a goodie bag with some candies and tied it off with some black ribbon. I added some fun tags using the Teeny Tag Greetings and Teeny Tag Holidays from My Creative Time.

My Creative Time: Scrapping The Little Things

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and enjoyed the hop!!

Today at the My Creative Time blog, it is Scrapping The Little Things.

This is the day that we create a scrapbook page, smash book page or a project life page. 

Today we are showing you layouts based on the following sketch:

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching here in the States, I decided to make a few cards for a Project Life layout. 

I made 2 PL cards that are 4x6. I based each card off of the above sketch. For the card on the left, I left the sketch as is and for the card on the right, I flipped it sideways. Since I don't have the pictures yet, I figured this might be the easiest since I don't know which card will work for my particular picture yet. For my bases, I used the Stitched 4x6 Journal Die and for the photo area, I used the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die. My leaves were cut from the A Thankful Heart set. I stamped the Give Thanks from the A Thankful Heart set onto a banner from the Trio Stitched Banners set. The Grateful also came from the A Thankful Heart set and I stamped it onto one of the banners from the Stitched Decorative Banners. My leaves and my banners are glued down only on one end so that I can easily slip a photo underneath the elements that hang over onto the photo mat. 

I decided that I would also make two smaller cards by using the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die. For my journal card, I used one of the stamps from the Journal It! set as well as another leaf from the A Thankful Heart set. For my plaid card, I cut a circle out of the middle by using a circle from the Bunch Of Fun Circles dies and placed a pumpkin, made from the Seasonal Greetings set, into the center.
