Thank You For Making My Life Better

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday!

Today is my day to post over at the Jaded Blossom blog and I made a sweet Valentine for my hubby that I wanted to share with you all today.

Here is a look at what that I created:

I used the Candy Bar Slider Die and cut it from some white cardtock and added some patterned paper from doodlebug to the front. I added a couple of clouds that I cut out using the Border Dies 2, inking just a bit along the top edges and stamping my greeting along the bottom. I used the Date Night stamp set for my hot air balloon image, did a bit of simple coloring with my Copic markers and paper pieced the heart balloon with some more patterned paper. I added some sequins, white Nuvo drops and a little enamel heart and completed my little treat by adding a big ol' pretty pink bow :) 

Of course, I had to add a sweet little candy bar for my hubby. 

I think this is so adorable!! I love the cute little images in the Date Night stamp set!

Love You Valentine Card

Here is the card that I created for the above challenges:

It is a very rainy day here in my neck of the woods so please forgive my photo but it is the best I could get today lol! You ever have days like that?? Anywho, for my card, I started with a white card base and doodled along the edges with a black pen. I cut some patterned paper at an angle to adhere to the bottom of my card. I die cut a heart out using a die from Jaded Blossom and stamped my greeting with some black ink. I colored that adorable little bear with my Copic markers and used the coordinating die to cut it out, popping him up with some foam tape. I completed my card with some enamel hearts and a few white Nuvo drops. I think it turned out adorable!

My Heart Belongs To You

Hi everyone and happy happy Monday!

Today starts a new challenge over at the Bitten By The Bug 2 Challenge Blog!

The theme for this challenge is...

Anything goes as long as it is Valentine!

Here is a look at what I created to share with you today:

First up is a sweet little heart shaped card that I made with a few different cuts. The heart shaped card is from the Life's A Party and I cut it out from some red and white cardstock at 5.5" wide. I found this fun phrase from the Husband and Wife Phrases and stretched it out a bit to fit my heart shape a bit better and cut it from some black and red cardstock. I adhered everything together and then added some black and white Nuvo drops along with some black doodling for a bit of interest. 

I decided it would be fun to add a little box with some candy in it for my hubby. I found the box on the Tiny Treasures cartridge and cut it from some white cardstock at 10.8"wide. I added the Kisses from the Little Sweethearts (cut out at 2.35"wide) and added it to the front. I love that even though these fonts are from different cartridges, they flow together quite nicely. I finished my box by adding some candy kisses to the inside and some more Nuvo drops to the outside. I tied a big red tulle bow to close my box and to add a little to the cuteness factor 💖

I think it turned out great and so striking with the color combo.

Jaded Blossom's February Challenge!

I can't believe it is already February! 

Today starts a new challenge over at the Jaded Blossom Blog!! Yay!!!

This month's challenge is a color challenge. 

--Use Pink, Gray and Black On Your Project--

Here is a look at what I created to share with you:

Every February, I make my hubby 14 days of Valentines. I typically leave them out as a little surprise for him to find before he leaves for work each morning. I thought it would be cute to pair up this little raccoon from the Birthday Bandit stamp set, along with the color challenge to create one of his Valentines. I used the Scallop Caddy Die to cut my box from some gray cardstock, cutting off the front flap just to give it a different look. I layered some fun pink patterned paper onto the inside back panel as well as the front. I stamped my greeting from the Birthday Bandit stamp set with some black ink onto some gray wood grain patterned paper and cut it out using the Heart Dies 2, popping it up with some foam tape. I colored that adorable little raccoon with my Copics, used my Scan n Cut 2 to cut it out and popped it up with some more of the foam tape. I used the Bow Dies and more of the gray wood grain paper to create a bow for the back of my box. I used the Banner Dies to cut out a couple of pink hearts to add to the box front as well as the bow center. I completed my project by adding a couple enamel hearts & dots as well as a little pink crochet thread bow to her hair.

I think it is so super cute!!

Here is a look at the card that I created:

I started with a white card base and covered it with some green patterned paper from MFT, adding a small strip of black cardstock for a little interest. I colored up that sweet little girl from the Cute Chemists stamp set by MFT and popped her up onto my card with some foam tape. I heat embossed my greeting in white onto some black cardstock and added it to the card, tucking it under her feet just a bit. I completed my card with some enamel hearts and Nuvo drops.
