Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at
This week, challenge #261 is....
You Are Matchless
(Create your own matchbook/matchbox)
Here is the project that I created for this challenge:
I decided to make a little matchbook that holds a piece of chocolate. I used some patterned paper that has been in my stash for over a year. The best part is, I was able to use up some of the scraps in the paper pad. I used staples to close the bottom flap of my matchbook, they are just covered up with the crochet thread. I used a word die from Pink & Main and finished off the front with some enamel dots as well as some bling. I have had the bling for a really long time, at least 2 years!
Here is a pic of the matchbook from the top:
and a picture of it opened up:
Be sure to head over to the Shopping Our Stash Challenge Blog to see what my design team sisters created. I hope you will decide to make a project and join us, I would love to see what you create!
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!

I hope you have a great crafty day!

Well-executed, as usual! I love that it looks like you also papered the spine! Mmmm, who wouldn't like to receive this as a quick "thank-you"?
ReplyDeleteGreat project! I really love it! Of course, adding chocolate helps! LOL!
ReplyDeleteCute!!
ReplyDeleteOh, Stacey!! I LOVE your matchbook!! How clever!! Could you provide the dimensions? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Judy
ReplyDeleteHi Judy! Thanks so much! I made my matchbook to specifically fit the chocolate I used by placing the candy on a piece of paper and winging it from there so you may need to adjust based on the type of candy you use. The matchbook pictured above is a piece of cardstock measuring 2.75" x 8.75". Scored at .75", 3 7/8" & 4 3/8". After you staple the bottom, you may need to trim a small amount of your top flap to tuck inside, based on staple placement. I hope this make sense. Thanks so much for stopping by!
DeleteOh how CUTE! What a fun gift idea... and I love the Matchbook card design!
