If You Give A Crafter A Cookie #59

Hi crafty friends!
I hope you are having a fabulous Thursday!!
I'm pretty excited because today is my very first post as a new design team member for
Yay!!!

Here is the photo inspiration for challenge #59:

The sponsor for this challenge is:

Here is a look at the project I made based on the cookie photo:

I was so inspired by the picture! I loved that beautiful bird and can we just take a moment to appreciate the detail that is in the gingerbread house?? My gingerbread houses never ever resemble anything close to that lol! Mine are always a big goopy mess! So since my baking skills are lacking, I figured I could try to recreate it using paper lol! I used a SVG from My Scrap Chick titled Country Village House boxes for my project. I used the small house and gave it a gingerbread look by using some kraft cardstock. I finished off my box by doodling with white gel pen, some bling along the roof's "frosting" and adding some holly at the top. I filled the box with some Christmas candy and it is ready to go :)

Be sure to stop by the
to take a look at the projects my design team sisters created!
If you are inspired by the cookie photo, I hope you will play along & link up!
I would love to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!
I hope you have a great crafty day!

  3. Just perfect, I love it.
Our youngest, since she was about 4 (now nearly 19) has always had one of those make your own gingerbread houses in a box things. I love watching her get messy & sticky & the outcome is always different, even tho its the same box every year lol
    Hugs Shell xx
That reminds me I still need to get her one for this year lol
