Here is a look at the card that I created to share with you today:
Nothing says Spring to me more than seeing the tulips I have planted, pop up and start to bloom. I thought it would be fun to mimic that just a bit with my card. I started by using a piece of white cardstock and using a die cut to cut out a sweet little scalloped layer. I inked up some clouds by using some distress oxides and a cloud stencil. I added a border of Tulips by using a file I found in the Cricut store from Miss Kate's Cuttables and added a sweet little bumble bee from the Life Outdoors cartridge. I added a bit of sparkle to the flight trail as well as to his wings by using some Blizzard Nuvo Drops. I stamped my greeting from Jaded Blossom, used a die to cut it out, added some crochet thread and popped it up onto the top of my card with some foam tape. I completed my card with a few little doodles with my white gel pen and then added my image layer onto a yellow cardbase.
I think it turned out so cute!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and taking a look at my latest creation!

Delightful card, Stacey! Great spring colors and your bee is so cute. I love tulips but bulbs don't survive in the Arizona desert. Thank you for playing along with us at Double Trouble #52 - we're so glad you did.
ReplyDeleteAdorable card and definitely cuteness overload! I love these pretty tulips and that cute little bee. Nice doodling!
ReplyDeleteSweet spring card, the tulips are so lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour card is adorable and love the row of tulips...sweet spring card. This takes me back to New York and when I was a child (that's a long time ago) and my Dad planted bulbs of tulips and iris around our yard...our first sight as spring as sprung...although I do remember them coming through snow at times. Thanks for participating and sharing your DT card with us at Double Trouble and hope that you will come back and check us out for future fun challenges at Double Trouble.
ReplyDeleteso stinkin cute Stacey! your projects are always perfection! thank you

ReplyDeleteWe were both in a tulip state of mind for this project! My favorite thing (besides everything) is the background cloud stenciling you did-it really sets the scene! Love the adorable little bee with his flight trail too!
