Feel Better Soon

  Hi friends!
I hope are having a fabulous day!

Today starts a new challenge over at the

Use Die Cuts, Stencils or Both!

Here is a look at the card that I created:

First, I need to apologize for my picture. There is a lot of shimmer, along with the foiling on the sentiment, but I could not capture that no matter how many times I tried, but believe me, it's there :)

Ok, back to the card. I started by cutting a piece of white cardstock to the same size as my card front, 4.25"x5.5". I taped off the edges so that I could center my stenciling and then placed another piece of tape going across so that I could separate the wall and the counter. Once everything was taped off, I used a brick stencil and some Pumice Stone Distress Oxide ink and created my wall. Once I had that done, I removed the tape going across to fill in the space to create my countertop. I removed the tape from the sides and adhered it to my card base once it was dry. I used some scraps and a die that I have had for awhile from MFT called Freshly Picked (I think it is retired) to create my flowers and pitcher and adhered it to the front of my card with some foam tape. I foiled my sentiment using some silver foil onto a piece of bright pink cardstock, used a fishtail die to cut it out & popped that up with more foam tape. To finish my card, I punched out a little heart and added it to the pitcher, added some white Nuvo drops to some of the flowers and some wink of stella glimmer pen to the center of the white flower.
 So super simple!

I hope you will stop by the Addicted To Stamps & More challenge blog to see the fabulous cards the team made as well as joining us and playing along! I would love to see what you create!

  2. This would be the problem with making cards with shimmer and shine - trying to photograph them. I would love to see it in real life, as I already love the way it looks!
