Hi friends!
Happy Happy 2022!!!!
Happy Happy 2022!!!!
I hope this new year brings you all health & happiness!!
Since it is the first of the month, it is time for a new challenge at
The Four Seasons Challenge blog!! Yay!!
Here is a look at the photo inspiration for this month:
The picture is for inspirational purposes so if the picture doesn't strike your fancy, you can enter a WINTER themed project. The picture is purely optional.
Here is a look at the card that I created:
I loved all the snow in the inspiration photo so I decided to create my own little scene on a mini slimline style card. I even managed to use a couple of different stamp sets that I have had for awhile and never used! Yay me! One of my goals this year is to buy less and use more of what I have, or at least try to haha!
I started my card by creating my mini slimline from some white cardstock and covering it with some diagonal striped patterned paper. I die cut a white scalloped rectangle and adhered that to my card front and added some snowy patterned paper on top. I stamped my little snowman, masked him off, and then stamped my background scene onto a piece of copic friendly cardstock. Once I had it colored, I stamped my greeting along the bottom and fussy cut around the trees and snow drift so that I could pop up my scene with some foam tape onto the front of the card. I completed my card by adding some Frosted Lace Stickles to the snow in front of the houses and a few random White Nuvo Drops to add a little more visual interest for the snowy scene.
Copic Colors Used:
--Trees: YG03, YG05, YG61, YG63, G94, G46, E25--
--Houses: E23, E25, E49, N3, N5, Y11--
--Snow on the ground: B0000, B00--
--Snowman: B0000, YR14, C7, V01, V05, V06--

Adorably cute winter scene you have created! Clever idea to make it on a mini slimline, it fits perfectly!! Good luck on you goals to use more and buy less, it's my own new years resolution each and every year and it lasts about maybe 2 days lol! Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable snowman and winter scene you have created! Just perfect for our Winter challenge!
ReplyDeleteOh my friend your card is just ADORABLE ! LOVE the scene you've created and your coloring is perfect! I too need to stop buying and start using more of what I already have. I do well for awhile then I see something (or Diane enables me lol) that I just can't live without! But I really do have way more than I need and hope to be STRONG in my conviction to USE not BUY in 2022. (Wish me luck lol).
ReplyDeleteGreat job and Happy New Year!
Hey, Stacey. I wanted to take a minute to say hello and introduce myself as your new team mate. Tendonitis is giving me a fit so my typing has been very limited. I'll be copying and pasting some of this to everyone else on the team.
ReplyDeleteYour scene is adorable. It looks like a few lodges that I'd like to go and visit and sit around with some hot chocolate and something to warm my feet.
