A Piggy and a Cupcake...Oh my!!

Hey crafty friends!
I hope you are having a wonderful day!
Nothing too exciting around my house today except that I was able to get a card created for a couple of challenges. Yay!!

The challenges that I will be playing along with are....

and
Here is a look at the card that I created for the challenges:

I created a square card base from some white cardstock and covered it with some striped patterned paper. I then cut out two of the scalloped squares, one in pink and one from white. I only used the negative from the white one so that it fit nicely in the pink one, kinda like a puzzle. I added a little frame using the striped paper and stamped my greeting. I colored my little piggy in with my Copics and added him to my framed area. I tied some crochet ribbon and popped up my framed piece with foam tape. The card was finished with some clear sequins. I love that little piggy holding the cupcake!! Oh so cute!!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!
I hope you have a great crafty day!

Here is a look at the card that I created:

I received this stamp for my birthday earlier this month and was so excited to use it! I've been wanting it for awhile now lol! Anywho, I stamped the books and then masked them so that I could stamp the chair behind them. I used my Scan N Cut to cut out my image and then I colored everything in with my Copic Markers. I stamped my greeting with some VersaMark ink and then heat embossed with some white embossing powder. I popped up my image with some foam tape and added a couple of puffy heart stickers (left over from Valentine's), added some blue baubles to the top right corner and called this card done. I adore how it turned out and how cute would this be for an Anniversary card? I love it!!

Hey crafty friends!
I hope you are all having a wonderful Tuesday!
I made some more Project Life cards for a future PL layout using the June sketches from

I decided to pull out some patriotic papers and do a few cards for the upcoming July 4th holiday.
I'm not caught in my album yet but at least I will have some cards ready to go when I get there (hopefully this year lol).

Here are a look at the sketches and the cards I made to correspond with each sketch.

Here is a look at all four cards together:

Ok so last month when I played along, I posted where I was at in each of my three PL albums. I thought it would be kinda neat if I kept myself accountable each month by posting my progress. Here are my stats that I posted last month per album (album year/month currently on):

 2015: November
2016: June
2017: March

I managed to work in a couple of my albums!! Yay!!! My 2015 album is now DONE!! I am also halfway through March 2017. Not much but it's something right?? haha!

I'm so happy that I was able to get these cards done! I always seems to get them done with just a couple of days to spare each month lol! I used an older Authentique 6x6 paper pad for my patterned papers and I love the vintage/distressed look of them.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

Here is my project-

I kept my card pretty simple so that awesome greeting could be the star of the show. I made an A2 card base from some dark blue cardstock. I layered a piece of white cardstock on top that I embossed with my Swiss dots embossing folder. I also wrapped it with ribbon before I adhered it to my card base. I cut out that awesome saying from the Independence Day - Freedom Cricut cartridge and sized it to where it covered the majority of my card front. I added a bow to my ribbon and the card was pretty much done. I love how it turned out! Being a military family, I love all things patriotic!

Be sure to stop by the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to see the projects that my design team sisters created! I hope you will power up that Cricut and make a Patriotic project for the challenge! I would love to see what you create!

Here is a look at the card that I made for the challenge:

I used some distress inks as watercolors and colored up a background of blues, greens and purples. I then used the Stitched Journaling card die to cut out a piece. I stamped out some cute octopuses and used more distress inks to color them in. I love using those inks for watercoloring :) I stamped my greeting and used a banner from the Bannertastic set to frame it. I fussy cut it out and popped it up onto my image panel. I attached some ribbon to my card base and layered my image panel over it and finished off my card with a few random sequins. I think it came out so cute and i adore the soft feel of it!

A Embroidered Hello

Hi crafty friends!
I hope you are having a fabulous Saturday!
Today I am back to share a card that I created using some fabulous stamps and dies that can be found in the Dies R Us Store

I love sending happy mail but needed to stock up on some Hello cards. When I saw the Lawn Fawn Embroidered Hello die, I knew it would be perfect and make a unique card.

I ran the die through my big kick and was left with a bunch of holes. These holes are where you do your stitching. I picked out some embroidery thread (DMC Floss) that would coordinate with my card, taped the thread to the back of the panel and started stitching. It was so super easy! I also stamped some flowers from the Lawn Fawn Fab Flowers stamp set and die cut them out with the coordinating Lawn Fawn Fab Flowers Dies and arranged them around my stitched hello.

Here is a look at my finished card:

I popped up my floral panel onto a light pink A2 pink cardstock with some foam tape. I finished off my card with some doodling.

Here is a quick peek (with links) to the products that I used on my card today that can be found in the Dies R Us store:

Don't forget to come join in the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  There's a new challenge theme offered on the 1st and 15th of each month and one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a gift voucher prize to the Dies R Us Store.  For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.

Hi crafty friends!

I was able to get a card made for the challenges over at
I combined a couple of their challenges so that my card worked for the

Here is a look at the card I created:

I recently purchased the Heart Shaker Pouches and Heart Shaker Window & Frame and knew they would be prefect as soon as I saw the sketch! I love the colors in the color challenge and my mind immediately went nautical. From there, my card was born lol! I cut out a little sailboat from my Cricut Explore and paired it up with a greeting from the Sailor Girl stamp set from MFT. I finished off my card with a few stitches with my white gel pen.

I love the little shaker pouches! You can have a shaker card without a lot of the bulk that normally comes with making them :)

Hey crafty friends! We are so excited to be working along with the Xyron team this week to bring you some awesome crafty inspiration! Just check back on the Pink & Main blog each day this week to see our design team creations, and also be sure to check out Xyron’s talented team as well… You can see their daily posts from the Xyron Facebook page. Pink & Main will be giving away a $25 store credit to pinkandmain.com as well as a Xyron prize pack! We will be choosing from all the comments left on all of the team’s blog posts on their blogs throughout the week, so the more you comment, the more chance you have to win!

For my project, I knew I wanted to use those sweet little stamps from the new set from Pink & Main called, Sending Waves. So I stamped out a few of the images, colored them and then ran them through the Xyron 1.5" sticker maker.

Once I had the adhesive on my pieces, I started building my card.

The sand was created with the Scallop Waves dies with a greeting from the Sending Waves stamp set. The waves are from the Beach Babe Patterned paper pack. I simply fussy cut and adhered it to my card and layered the sand over the top. I added the little girl from the Sending Waves stamp set and some clouds from the Sweet Dreams Baby die set. I tied a double bow and added the sun from the Sending Waves set to the center. The Xyron products made it so easy to assemble, I simply pulled them off of the sticker sheet and adhered! I finished off my card with a few sequins.

I couldn't stop at just the card though. I adore making 3D projects and thought a little pail with some taffy in it would make the perfect companion piece to my card. I used my Cricut and cut out my pail from an SVG and ran the pieces through the 5inch Create A Sticker from Xyron.

I used more images from the Sending Waves stamp set. The waves, the bottom of the pail and the brim are all adhered with the adhesive from the 5 in Create A Sticker maker. The sun and little girl are popped up with a pop dot. I finished off my bucket with some white satin bows on the side.

Don't forget to stop by the Xyron FB page and the Pink & Main blog daily this week for more inspiration. Thanks so much for stopping by today and taking a look at my latest creation!
I hope you have a great crafty day!

Camp Create 2017: Bonfire Bonus Day

Hi everyone!
I'm back again today with a quick post to share the card that I created for
the bonus Bonfire Day of  MFT Camp Create

The bonfire was all about dry embossing.

My card was pretty simple to put together and really fast! I think the entire card took me less than ten minutes to do! Gotta love that! I made a 4.25" square card base and then cut out a square of white cardstock. I used the Stitched Square Scallop Frame dies and the Happy Greetings dies to create the embossed part of my card. I placed some polka dot vellum behind it and popped it all up onto my card base with some foam tape. I finished off my card with a fun little vinyl bow that I got from Hobby Lobby a long while ago lol!
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today!
I really appreciate it!
I hope you have a great crafty day!!

Supply List:
--Cardstock; Hibiscus Burst (PTI), White (Recollections), Vellum (Neenah)

Stick It Down June Card Sketch Challenge

Hi crafty friends!
I hope your day is off to a marvelous start!
Today I am here to share a card sketch with you from the Stick It Down Challenge Blog
Stick It Down is a monthly sketch challenge blog. They provide sketches not only for a card once a month, but also for double and single page layouts! Cool right?? The sketches are normally posted on the first of the month with reveals of the design team's interpretations throughout the month. Today the card team designers are showing what they created for this month's card sketch.

Here is another peek at the card sketch for June 2017:

Here is a look at the card that I created based on the above sketch:

I stamped out my ice cream cone and colored it in with my Copic markers and then used the coordinating dies to cut it out. I die cut the ice cream from some patterned paper and placed it on my cone. I placed it on a die cut stitched circle and popped it up onto my card front with some foam tape. I stamped my greeting onto a strip of white cardstock, notched the ends and then popped that up with some more foam tape.

I hope you will stop by the Stick It Down Challenge blog & take a peek at what my design team sisters created with the sketch. I hope you are inspired to join us! I would love for you to link up so I could take a peek at what you created.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!

Camp Create 2017 Day 4: Sensational Sliders

Hi everyone!
I'm back again today with a quick post to share the card that I created for
Day 4 of the MFT Camp Create

Day 4 was all about making any type of slider card.

I thought the example card in the Day 4 video was pretty neat with the way it opened so I thought I would give it a try. I don't have the die that is seen in the video but it wasn't too hard to figure out. I inked up my top panel with distress inks to represent the sky and grass and then started cutting. I measured 1/2" in on both sides and 3/4' up from the bottom and simply cut on the lines being sure to not cut all the way to the top (I left a half inch border). I scored the top and bottom of my flap and then again in the middle of my flap. Once all that was done, I simply put my card together with the slider piece underneath attached to the bottom of the flap. I colored up that sweet little girl, sun and flowers and attached them to my card. I wanted the sun to show with the greeting, so I simply attached the sun behind the girl's hat with some foam tape. I think it turned out so cute and I can't wait to get it in the mail on it's way to my crafty BFF :)

I'm also going to be entering this card into the following challenges:
  1. Shopping Our Stash #307: Happy Mail (This is going into the mail tomorrow)
