Scroll down one post to read about the awesome give-a-way at Cricut 360. :)
Hi there! I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far! I am hoping to get in some crafting and maybe a little bit of organization done this weekend. I wanted to share with you the card I made for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge. This time, it is a cricutless sketch challenge. No cricuts and no gypsys. :( Here is what I came up with:
It was really hard for me not to use my cricut, but that's what makes it a challenge right? :) I was given a bag of those butterflies last year and this is the first time I used them, so I was glad to be able to use some of my stash. Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my latest creation. I really appreciate it! I hope you have a great crafty day!
Supplies:
Card Stock--Pear Pizzazz (SU!)
Patterned Paper--Purple as well as the striped paper (Making Memories)
Stamps--Turn That Frown Upside Down (My Creative Time) & Frame Stamp (ditto)
Ink--Pear Pizzazz & Concord Crush (SU!)
Punch--Loops (Martha Stewart Crafts)

Throwback Thursday
Happy Saturday! I hope you are having a great weekend so far! I am, other than the heat!
Last night I was able to sit down and make a card for Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge. It has been awhile since I have participated in one of Emma's challenges so I was so excited to actually be able to get to do it. :) This time the challenge is to use any Lite cartridge and to incorporate some bling on your project somewhere.
Here is what I came up with for the challenge:
I used the Lacy Labels Lite cricut cartridge and cut out my image at 2.5" I was really unsure about my color combo choice at first but I think it is finally starting to grow on me :)
I am also adding this to the tic-tac-toe challenge that is going on over at CAS-ual Fridays. I met the requirement for the bottom row.
Thanks for looking at my latest creation and I hope you have a great crafty day!
Supplies:
Cricut--Lacy Labels
Card Stock--Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie (SU!)
Patterned paper--SU!
Punch--Apron Lace (Fiskars)
Misc.--White Gelly Roll Pen, Button (?), Hemp cord, iRock

Firefighting Graduation Congrats Card
Happy Thursday! Today I wanted to share a card with you that I recently made for my son. He recently graduated from a firefighting program through his high school. He took a year long course and learned all the in and outs of firefighting as well as fighting actual fires. He took the state exam and passed! My baby is now a certified firefighter! He hasn't even graduated high school yet lol. We are so proud of him!
Here is the card that I made for him using Independence Day:
The firetruck was cut out of Independence Day at 1" (I cut off the flag to give it less of a parade feel) and the Congrats was cut out of Doodletype also at 1".
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have a great crafty day!
Supplies:
Cricut--Independence Day and Doodletype
Cardstock--Real Red (SU!), Black (recollections), Gray (?)& White (PTI)
Ribbon--Offray

Cooking With Cricut Challenge #33
Happy Wednesday! Ready for another great challenge this week at Cooking With Cricut? You are going to love this one! This week is Pick Your Poison week. Make a project using your favorite cartridge and your favorite color. Pretty awesome right?
My favorite cartridge is still Create A Critter and my favorite color is purple. With that being said, this is what I came up with:
Front view:
Side view:
This is a center step card. You can find the instructions on how to make this type of card here.
For my card, I cut out the zebra from create a critter 2.75". The flowers were also cut out of create a critter at 1.75". I ran my flowers through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder. Since I am trying to get my creative space done in purple, I decided to keep this card as a little decoration, especially with that cute sentiment from My Creative Time with Emma Stamps.
Don't forget to head over to Cooking with Cricut to see what the rest of the fabulous design team did and to enter the challenge yourself. I can't wait to see what you create! Have a great crafty day!

You've Opened The Music Of My Heart
Happy Friday! Today I wanted to share with you a card that I made for my hubby. I love making him cards and giving them to him out of the blue. No occasion needed. :)
Inside the card will be a CD of a song that makes me think of him every time I hear it. Can you believe that I didn't use my cricut for this card? I know! Crazy huh? I kept it pretty simple by just making a 5x5 card. I then used a stamp to create the sheet music and sentiment. I punched a border strip and placed it behind the sheet music, added some ribbon, did a little distressing and Voila! I think he will love it! Thanks for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation! I hope you have a great crafty day!
Supplies:
Card Stock--Crumb cake (SU!), Cream (Recollections)
Stamp--Music Of My Heart (Ippity by Unity Stamp Co.)

Memories Frame
Happy Wednesday! Are you guys ready for another great challenge over at Cooking With Cricut this week?
In honor of National Gingersnap Day, you are being challenged to make a project using the following pictures as inspiration:
You must also have two of the following colors in your project:
Tangerine
Yellow
Cream - Vanilla
Ginger - Brown
Green
Kraft, White or Black as accents if necessary
I used the floral picture as my inspiration and the colors yellow, green and cream and created this frame:
This was just a plain wooden frame that I bought knowing I was going to alter it but not quite sure how. When I saw the floral picture above, I was inspired. You cant really see it in this picture but after I painted the frame cream, I used some white pearl mist to add some shimmer to the frame as well as the flowers.
Here is a close up of the flowers:
For my flowers, I cut the flowers out of Accent Essentials in various sizes and layered them on top of each other and curled up the petals. The biggest flower is 2.5" and the smallest is .5". The leaves were cut from Storybook at 1.5" and Memories was cut from Home Decor at 1".
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog to take a look at my latest creation! Don't forget to stop by Cooking With Cricut to see what the rest of design team came up with as well as entering the challenge yourself!
I am also entering this into Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge of using an older cartridge and the colors yellow and green. I hope you have a great crafty day!
Supplies:
Cricut--Accent Essentials, Home Decor & Storybook
Card Stock--Daffodil Delight & Old Olive (SU!)
Misc--Wooden Frame, Recollections Gems, Perfect Pearls Mist
