Adding A Smile To Your Day

Hey everyone!

I hope you are having a fabulous Friday!

Today I have a super sweet card to share with you that showcases a new set from

 Pink & Main titled, Add A Smile along with some faces from the Sweet Faces Set 2 set. 

Isn't she darling? I had so much fun making this card! I stamped her onto some white cardstock and then added that cute little face. After I had her all stamped up, I fussy cut her out and then began coloring her with my Copics. I added a few freckles with my white gel pen and some "diamond earrings" with some little pieces of bling. I popped her up with foam tape onto some fun, bright cardstock from the Hello Sunshine paper pad from Doodlebug Designs. That fun greeting is also in the Add A Smile set. I stamped it with some VersaMark ink and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I finished off my card with a few enamel dots and more bling.

Merry Christmas Mouse

I hope your week was fabulous and that you have some fun things in store for the weekend. 

I am back with another Pink & Main project to share with you today. I made another Christmas card using a couple of the new stamp sets from the October release. 

For my card, I colored that cute little mouse from the Christmouse stamp set (free with a $30 purchase) with my copics. After I had her all colored in, I used my Labels 4 Spellbinders dies to cut her out. I also cut out another one in green so that I could stack them on top of each other. I cut a red strip of cardstock and then used the Fun Stitched Edges dies from My Creative Time to create that fun little scalloped border on each side. I heat embossed that Merry Christmas greeting from the new Hollydays stamp set with some white emobssing powder. Those little holly leaves are also from the Hollydays stamp set. I finished off my card with a few red jellies in each corner and some white faux stitching on the green label. Isn't that little mouse just the cutest?? I just love her and think she is so darn cute!!

Today I wanted to share with you a card that I made for a couple of challenges over at Scrapbook.com

This card was primarily made for the October Card Sketch Challenge and it was for Sketch #1 which is a sketch from March 2013 Pagemaps.

Here is the card that I created based on the sketch:

I used some papers from the Snow Village paper pad by Pink Paislee and thought the Kraft card base was the perfect compliment to the colors in the papers. I used a snowflake die from My Creative Time, ran some wet glue all over the front of it and then dipped it into some dazzling diamonds glitter. I added a blue goosebump to the center of the snowflake. My sentiment is from the Holly stamp set from Pink & Main. I finished off my card with some faux stitching. Kinda simple but I love how it turned out and now I have one less Christmas card to make lol!

Tonight I am stopping in real quick to share with you the card I made to play along in the 

October Stack-a-holics sketch challenge hosted by DCWV.

My card was so simple, easy and fast to create. I decided to use the Hello Darlin' stack for all of my petterned papers. I fussy cut the telephone and the banner with the wording out of some of the paper from the stack as well and popped those up with foam adhesive. After I had everything adhered where I wanted it, I added a little shimmer to the phone with some Wink Of Stella. I also added just a bit of glossy accents to the heart and to the rotary dial. I finished off my card with some doodles and a few sequins.

Christmas Gift Card Holders

Hi everyone!

Tonight I am back with a couple of gift cards that I made to try and get a little ahead on some Christmas crafts.

I love these little elves from Peachy Keen and thought they were be perfect on the front of my little gift card holders. I based my gift card holders off of a tutorial that can be found here, although I did change up the dimensions on mine and added a bow closure instead of a belly band. I made a boy card for my son and the little girl elf will be for my daughter so I didn't feel the need to include the "To: & From:" on them.

I left the ribbon strings really long for now. I will trim them up after the actual gift cards get put into them closer to Christmas. I also left the inside blank for now so I can write a message with the amount of the card.

Card Harmony --- Spooktacular

Happy Monday!!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! We were super busy with family fun all weekend and we had a blast but it did wear me out a bit lol! 

Today Kimberly and I are back with another Card Harmony post.

Here is a link to my blog post that tells a little bit about what Card Harmony is all about. 

We basically take turns purchasing stamps each month and then we both make a card using the same stamp set to see how alike or different our cards turn out. We add a little twist each month though to make it a little more challenging. 

It was my month to choose the stamp set and since it is October, I chose the absolutely adorable set from Lawn Fawn titled, Spooktacular. I had my daughter pick the added challenge for us and she picked a hard one! She told us that we had to make a Halloween card with no black!! WHAT??? The only black that we were allowed to use was the Copic friendly ink necessary if we planned on coloring our images.  We could use shades of gray as long as we didn't go too dark. I can't speak for Kimberly but I sure did struggle with this! haha! Anywho, here is the card that I was able to create:

I started with a purple card base and added a light gray layer. I then added a fun glittery orange piece of cardstock from DCWV and wrapped a bit of bright green ribbon around it before I adhered it on top of the gray layer. I cut out a piece of watercolor cardstock using the Stitched Journaling Card from Lawn Fawn. I then got out some distress inks and blended some colors together to make my grass and sky. Once I had that done, I flicked a bit of water on top to get some fun little blotches. I love that look! I colored my images from the Spooktacular set and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I used a fence border die from Darice, attached that to my watercolor panel and then started arranging my images to create a little scene. I heat embossed my sentiment with some white embossing powder. I finished off my card with a few star shaped confetti pieces, glossy accents and some faux white stitching.

Sweet Hello

For my card, I used the stamp set titled, Ellie Loves Lattes #E018 from Your Next Stamp. 

I think she is absolutely adorable! I colored her in with my copics, except for her shirt. I decided to paper piece her shirt with some coordinating patterned paper. I finished off my card by adding a few buttons and a twine bow.

A crabby Christmas card

Happy Friday crafty friends!

Today I have a fun Christmas card to share with you that features some stamps from the new stamp set from Pink & Main titled, "Warm Holiday".

I decided to make a square card that measures 4.25" x 4.25" so that it will still fit nicely into a A2 envelope. After I colored that adorable little palm tree and little crab with the presents from the Warm Holiday stamp set, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I popped up the crab and presents with some foam tape and placed it in front of the palm tree so that it overlapped just slightly. That cute little greeting is also in the Warm Holiday stamp set. I finished off my card with a bit of glossy accents on the lights, ornament and gifts. I also placed an enamel dot in each corner.

Happy Halloween

Hi everyone and happy Saturday!

I hope you are having a great start to your weekend! It seems I have received a little gift from my darling son....his cold lol! He is almost over his, thank goodness, so I don't think it is one that lingers for too long. Fingers crossed anyways :) 

Today I have a Halloween card to share with you that I made for a few challenges.

This card is based off of a sketch that can be found HERE and is also one of the sketches being used for the October Card Sketch Challenge at Scrapbook.com. When I first saw the sketch, the first thought that came to mind was Halloween. I have no idea why but I'm glad it did cause I love how my card turned out lol. I used some fun bright papers from Doodlebug and a few stamps from Lawn Fawn (all supplies will be listed below). I finished it off with a few random sequins here and there and some black faux stitching.

Season's Greetings Cardinal Card

Hi there and happy Friday!!

Today I have a Christmas card to share with you that I made using one of the new stamp sets from Pink & Main  titled "Hollydays" that will be releasing very soon.

I decided to make a tent topper card. I love this style of card and I think it really helps to showcase that beautiful Cardinal bird that is in the new Hollydays stamp set. I colored the bird with my copics and then colored the wing on a second one. I fussy cut out the wing and used foam tape to pop it up onto the main bird for a little extra dimension. I added a bit of glitter to the tree branch so that it could have a little winter sparkle :) The greeting is also in the Hollydays stamp set as well as those cute little holly leaves. I finished off my card with a bit of Trendy Twine.

Today I have a simple card to share with you that I made for a few challenges that are currently going on.

To create my card, I did a bit of the ink smooshing technique onto some watercolor cardstock. I then cut some leaves out of it using the Small Stitched Leaves dies from Lawn Fawn. I added some gold embossing powder all around the edges of the leaves, the pattern paper, and for the sentiment. I also covered a thin strip of cardstock with some gold embossing powder to add a little more gold. I finished off my card with some gold sequins and some clear Wink of Stella on the leaves for a little more sparkle.

Here are the projects that I created:

I love this little Witch Boot shaped card that comes in the Bewitched Botique set from SVG Attic. This was so super easy to assemble also! The hardest part was picking out the papers that I wanted to use lol! Once I had everything layered up and assembled, I added some Clear Wink of Stella to all the purple pieces and a bit of glossy accents to the star. My finishing touch was taking my black Copic mutiliner and adding some faux stitching all around the boot. 

Here is a close up of the tag on the card:

For the greeting on my tag, I used that cute little bat and the Happy Halloween from the Witch House stamp set from Pink & Main and stamped them with some Onyx Black Versafine ink. 

For my second project, I absolutely knew right away that I wanted to make the 3D witch Boot that is also in the Bewitched Botique set from SVG Attic:

I adore making 3D projects and had alot of fun making this one. Assembly was super easy on this as well, which is a big plus when it comes to 3D projects huh? Anywho, After I cut out all of my pieces, I took some Black Soot Distress Ink and inked up the edges! I wanted the boot to look a little distressed so I even inked some random spots on all the pieces also. 

That adorable little spider came from the Punkin stamp set from Pink & Main. I drew some stitch lines with a Copic Multiliner and also added a spider web sticker from my stash. 

For the patches, I curled up some of the corners and added some little doodles. I threaded some black satin ribbon through my boot for the laces. I stamped the witch silhouette flying in front of the moon from the Witch Brew stamp set from Pink & Main and colored the moon with my copics. I used a couple of circle dies to layer it and then sandwiched a bamboo skewer between the layers. I adore Halloween and love making projects for it! I normally have quite a few candy bowls sitting in various locations around my house. This boot from the Bewitched Botique is going to sit on my fireplace mantel and serve as a candy bowl this year and I love it!! :)

Hi crafty friends!!

I hope you are having a fantastic Friday!!!

Can you believe it is already October?? This year seems to be passing by so quickly!!

I figured since October is here, so is Cold/Flu season so I needed to get some cards in my stash ready to mail out just in case. Being sick sure isn't fun! 

Fingers crossed that I won't need to mail this to anyone. 

I kept my card pretty simple and flat. Much easier to mail :) I used a gray card base and layered on top of that a blue layer and a yellow polka dot layer. I used the Stitched Greetings stamp set and Stitched Greeting Dies and cut out two banner pieces. I adhered them to the back of square layer to give the appearance of being one long piece. I added a little enamel dot at the top for a little finishing touch. Isn't that little whale from the Whale of a Time stamp set from Pink & Main just the cutest??? I stamped him onto my white cardstock and again onto some gray cardstock. I fussy cut the gray and adhered that to my white stamped whale. I stamped the waves onto some blue cardstock and fussy cut that out also.  I added some wink of stella to the waves and a few white doodles also.

Easy Peasy!!

Here is the card that I created for the challenge:

I used some blue cardstock for my card base and then adhered some fun confetti patterned paper from AC onto that. I added a piece of the same blue cardstock to the middle of my card using some foam tape for a little dimension. I love the little owls in the What A Hoot stamp set so I knew I wanted to use that set for my card. I stamped the cupcake onto some Simon Says Stamp white cardstock, masked it off and then stamped that adorable little owl peeking out from the gift over the top of the cupcake. I colored all of the images with my copics and then stamped the greeting, also from the What A Hoot stamp set. I added a bit of clear wink of stella to the "Whooo's" for just a bit of sparkle. I tied a bow and then attached that panel to the middle blue cardstock layer. I finished off my card with some glossy accents, some sequins and a few doodles with my white gel pen.
