Happy Friday! Are you all ready for the weekend? I know I am. My crafty to-do list seems to keep growing so I have plans of getting some of it crossed off this weekend. Today marks the start of another great challenge over at Cricut 360. This challenge is all about a new baby. Make a card for a new baby using pastel colors and dry embossing. Here is the card I did:
For my card, I used my swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss my card front. I then used my traditional eyelet border punch and layered them at the bottom of the card to give it a ruffled feel. I attached some ribbon and a bow and then I cut the rattle out of the New Arrival Cricut Cartridge at 3". I added some photo corners and some pearls and it was done. It was so simple and fast to make but I think it came out beautiful!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation. I hope you decide to play along with us this week at Cricut 360. I would love to see what you make. I hope you have a great crafty day!

Cooking With Cricut #52
Happy Wednesday! Are you guys ready for a great challenge from Cooking With Cricut? This week the challenge is all about the colors of Autumn. Use the colors of Autumn in your projects this week, red, orange, brown, yellow and/or green. Here is what I created for the challenge:
I am surrounded by trees, so autumn at my house is beautiful but messy. Oh how I am not looking forward to raking up all those leaves. haha! For my card, I cut my tree out of the Bloom Cricut Lite cartridge at 4". I added some dimension to the tree by turning it over and free hand drawing some lines with my stylus and then turning it back over and lightly inking the surface. For the leaves, I cut them out in 3 different colors and just placed them onto the tree. The inside of the card reads: Happy Fall.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and taking a look at my creation. I'm sad to say that this is my last DT post for Cooking With Cricut. I want to thank Melin and all the girls on the DT for their inspiration and their friendship that they have shown me every week. It has been a great journey with you ladies! Thank you!
Don't forget to stop by Cooking With Cricut to play along with this week's challenge! I look forward to seeing what you create! I hope you have a great crafty day!

Cooking With Cricut #51
Happy Wednesday! Are you guys ready for a new challenge week over at Cooking With Cricut? In honor of Grandparent's Day (September 11), you are challenged to create a project about or for your grandparents or a heritage type project.
Here is what I came up with:
I made a card to send in honor of Grandparents Day. For my card, I used a sketch from Page Maps (Card Maps March 2008) for my inspiration. My brackets were cut from Plantin Schoolbook at 2" and my flower was cut from Lovely Floral at 3", 3.5" and 4". Once I had my flowers cut out, I sprayed them with a little bit of Perfect Pearls Mist and crumbled them up and layered them on top of each other for some dimension. When they were dry, I added some glossy accents to give the flower some shine and attached a Dew Drop in the center. For the sentiment, all I did was type it up on my computer and print it out.
Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today. I appreciate it. Don't forget to stop by Cooking With Cricut to see what the other DT girls did to inspire you as well as entering the challenge yourself. I hope you have a great crafty day!

M.A.G. Challenge #43
Hi everybody and happy Tuesday! I hope your week is going well so far. Today I wanted to share a card that I made for the challenge over at M.A.G. Challenge By The Page. This is my first time playing along and I really had a lot of fun making this card. I made it to send to my daughter, whose favorite color is purple (It's also my favorite color). So, if your thinking, "that's a lot of purple" that's why. haha!
The challenge was to use the Forever Young Cricut cartridge, page 43 only. No other cuts allowed other than what is shown on page 43.
Here is what I came up with for the challenge:
I cut out my girl from the Forever Young Cricut cartridge at 3.5". I added some border punch strips to give my card a ruffle/lacy feel and added a bunch of dazzling diamonds for lots of sparkle. The inside reads, "You Are Fabulous!". Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation. I really do appreciate it! I hope you have a great crafty day!
I am also entering this into the challenge over at The Paper Variety. They are having a favorite things challenge, so this is for the favorite color, monochromatic, challenge.
Supplies:
Cricut Expression
Cricut Cartridge: Forever Young
Card Stock: Rich Razzleberry (SU!), Black (Recollections)
Patterned Paper: SU!
Punch: Doily Lace (Martha Stewart Crafts
Misc.: Offray Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds (SU!)

Birthday Boy!
Hi there and Happy Thursday! It's almost the weekend! WooHoo!!! Any crafting plans for the weekend? I hope to get a lot of projects done since my to-do list isn't getting any shorter. :) Today's card is one that I made last night for the challenge over at Birthday Sundaes. The challenge for this week is to make any New Birthday card with a Birthday Sentiment.
Here is what I made for the challenge:
I love the way this turned out and it was so simple to do! I cut out my card base from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge at 5". Then I just made a little mat to go on the front. The bear was cut out at 3" and "BOY" was cut out at 1". Both the bear and the "BOY" were also cut out using Birthday Bash. I added some Glossy Accents to the balloons and to the tires to give them a little shine and then added a little twine bow to my bear. So Cute!

Cooking With Cricut #50
Happy Wednesday! Are you guys ready for another great challenge at Cooking With Cricut? This week is all about school. With most kids back in school now, we want to see those back to school projects.
Here is what I created:
and here is a side view:
I created a little back pack filled with a few bite size candy bars. The backpack came from the Life's A Party cricut cartridge. I cut it out at 8". Then I added some faux stitching and a sticker that I put on some white cardstock and then hand cut out so I could pop it up with some foam adhesive. For my straps and my bow, I used a pair of new shoe strings instead of ribbon.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation. I hope you will join us at Cooking With Cricut. We would love to see what you make. Don't forget to stop by Cooking With Cricut to see the fabulous creations that the Design Team did as well. I hope you have a great crafty day!

Ruff Day?
Happy Tuesday! Are you guys ready for another great challenge over at Tacky Tuesday's? For the challenge this month, you need to use a dog die-cut and the word "WOOF" or "RUFF" somewhere in your sentiment. This is what I came up with:
I have had the Four Legged Friends Cricut Lite cartridge for awhile and was so happy to finally use it. I cut out my dog at 3.5" For his sign, I printed out my sentiment from my computer and just cut little rectangles to make the sign shape. I hope you will play along with us over at Tacky Tuesday's! You have until September 20th to post your card on the Tacky Tuesday's Facebook Page. I would love to see what you create!
