Sympathy Card

Happy Friday!

Tonight I have a card to share with you that I made for the challenge over at

Sympathy cards are so hard to make. I have none in my stash so even though this was a tough challenge, at least I now have one just in case. As pretty as this card is, I really hope it just kinda collects dust and never has to be used. To create my card, I cut out my flower from the Spring Cottage Cricut cartridge and placed it inside a frame that I cut out from the Elegant Edges cartridge. My flower was cut out in all white and then I just inked the leaves and stem with green ink, making it lighter and darker in certain areas to give a bit more dimension. I also added a bit of sparkle to my flower by added some shine from my Wink Of Stella Clear glitter brush pen. On my pink layer, I heat embossed the sentiment as well as the edges with silver embossing powder.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation.
I really appreciate it!

I hope you have a great crafty day!

Valentine Goody Bags

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you all had a fabulous day!
Tonight I have a couple of little goody bags to show you that uses those adorable little monsters from the Valentine Monsters set from KaDoodle bug Designs.

For my bags toppers, I used the top note die from Stampin' Up and cut out my patterned paper and then simply folded them in half. I attached some ribbon and tied a simple knot. Then I cut out those cute little monsters and popped them up using some foam adhesive. Simple simple to put together and would be great for mass producing :)

For my card, I used my Cricut and cut out the card base as well as the banner with the bird out of the Birthday Bash cartridge. I stamped my greeting from the For The Birds set from Scrappy Moms onto a stitched oval and popped it up with some foam adhesive.

Woot Woot!!

Here is the first card that I created for this release using the stamp set called

I cut out my Strawberry Margarita from a file that I found in the Silhouette online store. I added some vellum to the front of my glass to soften it up a little and then added some chunky glitter to represent the salt on the rim and glossy accents to my strawberry. I added that super fun sentiment from the You Are My Everything 2 using some Jet Black Archival ink.

Here is a look at both of the sets that are releasing today:

Giraffe Valentine

Happy Thursday!!

Today I have a super fun Valentine card to show you that features one of the adorable animals from the You're Great Valentine set by KaDoodle Bug Designs.

As soon as I saw this set, I knew I had to make a card with that cute little giraffe!
I think he is absolutely adorable! I kept my card pretty simple. I used a border punch to create a decorative edge and added some ribbon and a bow. I used a die from Spellbinders and then embossed it with some little hearts  to create a layer for that cute little giraffe to sit on. I added a few gold sequins to finish off the card.

Valentine Love You Card

Happy Wednesday!

Today I have a card to show you that I made for a couple of different challenges.

I decided to make a Love You card. I love making these types of cards! Not only for Valentine's Day, but I love being able to leave my hubby cards for him to find any time of the year.

For my card, I decided to use of some of the chalkboard paper that I seem to be hoarding lol! I ran it through a die from MCT to get the stitched edges and then used a border punch on a strip of red paper and attached it to my chalkboard layer. I wrapped some Totally Red Trendy Twine around a few times and tied a bow. I then attached that entire layer (offsetting it a little) to my card base with some foam adhesive. For my phrase, I cut out the "I Love You" from the Lyrical Letters Cricut Cartridge. I placed some of the little hearts that got punched out onto the card front and then added some Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter to all the red hearts and then added some glossy accents to the top to really make that shimmer pop. I love the way they turned out! They almost look like those little red hot heart candies. :)

The challenges I am entering my card into are:

Terrific Tuesday Challenge--Think Warm!

Happy Tuesday!

Are you all ready for a new Terrific Tuesday Challenge over at the Scrappy Moms blog?

Photobucket

The theme for this one is so great! It will definitely get you out of your winter blues,
if just for a little bit!
The theme for this Terrific Tuesday Challenge is: Think Warm!
This can be anything that makes you feel warm or think warm, whether it be a warm sunny day, a hot beverage or even love :)

For my card, I decided to go with the warmth of sunshine!

To make my card, I cut out that adorable little sun from the Silhouette Store (design ID #26907). I layered it on top of some great patterned papers from DCWV that I thought were super cheery. I love using papers from stacks, takes the guesswork out of matching them up myself :) Isn't that greeting fabulous?? It is from the Amusing Animals stamp set by Scrappy Moms. I thought it went perfectly with my card and that big sun! I finished off my card with some ribbon, bling, white doodles and a touch of wink of stella clear glitter for just a little bit of shimmer.

I hope you will stop by the Scrappy Moms Blog to see the fabulous creations my wonderful Design Team sisters created for this challenge as well as entering the challenge yourself!
I would love to see what you create!

Bear Birthday Card

Happy Thursday!!

While I was looking through my card stash, I discovered that I am running very low on birthday cards!! Perfect time to start building up and enter a few challenges at the same time :)

For my card,  I used my loops border punch along the bottom of my pink layer and then wrapped it with some ribbon and attached it to my card base. I then us the Scalloped Stitched Oval Dies from MCT to create my main focal layer. Isn't that bear adorable? I used that super cute birthday bear that is in the Rainbow Bears file from KaDoodle Bug Designs. I popped her up with some foam adhesive and added some glossy accents to her nose, cupcake sprinkles and butterfly. I finished off my card with that super cute greeting from the Simply Said set by Scrappy Moms and a few enamel dots.

Let It Snow!

Happy Monday!!

Today I have a cute little favor box to show you that uses that super cute ice girl that is in the

Isn't she precious? I just love her to pieces! I cut my box out of the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 cricut cartridge and then heat embossed my greeting using some white embossing powder. My little girl came from the Magical Winter Wonderland file from KBD. I added a cute little Peachy Keen face to her and some sparkle with my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter brush to her vellum train and the top half of her dress. I filled the box with some candy that had a coordinating wrapper. I think these would be so perfect for some birthday favors and even some Valentine's, if you switched up the greeting.

I will be entering this box into the challenge that is going on over at

Hello Friend

Happy Friday!!

Who's ready for the weekend? I know I am!
As I was perusing some challenge blogs last night, I came across a couple that I knew I wanted to play in so I was able to whip up this card to link up.

I know I have already said this but I am having so much fun playing with my Cricut Explore and rediscovering my cartridges! This card went together so easily. I cut out my Hello Kitty from the Hello Kitty Greeting cartridge and sized her to 2.75" in height. I love this Hello Kitty cartridge, it is just one of my all time favorites!

I will be entering this card into these challenges:

Every Cloud has a Silver Lining

Happy Thursday!

I wanted to stop in real quick and show you this cute little encouragement card that I made with the

I decided to make a 4.5" square card and create a little scene. Isn't that little girl darling? She is from the Rainy Days set from KaDoodle Bug and that file is one of the ones that is on the retiring soon list!! She will be gone soon. Yikes!! The clouds are also from the same file. I cut out the clouds twice, once in white and then again in a silver mirror cardstock so that I could layer the silver behind just a bit for the silver lining. For my "rain drops" I thought the sequins worked pretty well and added the sparkle that I love. That sentiment from the Simply Said set by Scrappy Moms worked perfectly for my card theme!

Terrific Tuesday Challenge--Sugar Rush

Happy Tuesday!!

Today is my very first post as a Scrappy Moms Stamps Design Team Member! Yay!!

Today starts a new Terrific Tuesday Challenge.

Photobucket

The theme for this challenge is Sugar Rush (Anything Sweet)

For my project, I decided to make a little gift bag and fill it with some yummy candy.

.I was blessed to get a Cricut Explore for Christmas and I had so much fun rediscovering some of my cartridges again. For my bag, I cut it out of the Baby Steps cartridge and sized it to 6.75". I then found those cute little skates on my Nifty Fifties cartridge and sized them at 2" and placed them onto the front of my bag overlapping the window just a bit. That fun sentiment from the Candy Grams stamp set went so perfectly! I simply placed it onto a strip of white cardstock, notched the ends and then curled it just a bit to give it some dimension when I adhered it. I added just a bit of shine by adding some clear Wink Of Stella to the "ROLL" on my stamped banner. I finished off my bag with some sequins and bling as well as a bow.

I hope you will stop by the Scrappy Moms Blog to see the fabulous creations my wonderful Design Team sisters created for this challenge as well as entering the challenge yourself! I would love to see what you create!
