Owl Christmas Tags

Hey crafty friends!
I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!!

Today I am here to share some easy gift tags that uses some great
Pink & Main dies and a stamps!

I needed to whip up some tags the other night to go on some gifts and these little owls were screamin' to be used. I simply cut out strips of white cardstock and adhered a scrap piece of patterned paper down the center. I notched out the bottom to create a banner look, rounded the top corners and added some twine. I then set the tags aside and stamped my images from the hOWLidays stamp set and colored them with my Copics. Once they were all colored, I cut them out using the coordinating hOWLidays die set. I added some fluff to the Santa hat by using my heat gun and liquid applique. I attached my images to my tags with foam tape. I decided to heat emboss my greeting onto some black cardstock to tie in the twine color on my tags. I finished off my tags with some clear wink of stella and some doodles. Super easy and I love those sweet little owls!

I hope you all have a very merry Christmas and a blessed 2017!!

Shopping Our Stash #283

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week challenge #283 is....
Winter Wonderland
Let's see some winter (not Christmas) themed projects.

Here is what I created:

I love these polar bears and had to have them right away when they came out a month or so ago. Unfortunately, they sat unused until now :) This challenge was the perfect time to take them out of the package and get them inky!! I stamped him and the fish, colored them with my Copics and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I used some patterned paper that I have had for a while and an older sketch that I found online.

I added a small strip of vellum to soften the transition between the two patterned papers just a bit. I added some snowflakes and voila! Finished and fabulous, thanks to the cute bear and sketch, in no time flat!

Be sure to head over to the Shopping Our Stash Challenge Blog to see what my design team sisters created. I hope you will decide to make a project and join us, I would love to see what you create!

Christmas Card Challenges: Week 2

Hello crafty friends!
I hope your Sunday is off to a glorious start!

Today marks the beginning of another challenge at

The challenge is:

You can create a project based on the carolers, the colors, music, etc. If the photo does not inspire you, feel free to skip it and just create a Christmas card. These additional "challenges" are always optional. The only real rule is that it needs to be a Christmas/Holiday card.
Easy right??

Here is the card that I created based on the above photo:

I love this little elf stamp from Peachy Keen. I have had it in my stash for awhile now and hardly ever use it. This stamp was screaming to be used for this challenge though :) I stamped her onto some Copic cardstock and colored her in. I used a postage frame die to cut her out and then stamped my greeting at the top. I wrapped some thread around my patterned paper, adhered it to the card base and tied a bow with some jingle bells on it. I popped up my image piece with some foam adhesive and added some glossy accents and some little details with my white gel pen. So super simple but I love it!! I almost added some sequins and enamel dots but they just didn't look right to me so clean and simple I left it lol!

Be sure to head over to the Christmas Card Challenges blog and take a look at what my design team sisters created! I hope you will decide to join us and create a card for the challenge! :)
I would love to see what you create!

I will also be entering my card into the following challenges:

Stick It Down Guest Designer

Hi everyone!
I hope that your Friday is off to a fabulous start!

I am so happy to announce that I am the guest card designer this month for
Yay!!
Stick It Down is a monthly sketch challenge blog.  They provide sketches not only for a card once a month, but also for double and single page layouts! Cool right??

Here is the card sketch for December 2016:

So many possibilities with this one!! Here is the card that I created based on the sketch:

I am still in Christmas mode and I must admit, I still have cards that I need to send out lol! When I saw this sketch, I thought it would be perfect to create a wintery Christmas card. I cut out some snowflakes from some pink, white and silver glitter paper and adhered them to my patterned paper. I trimmed off any excess that was hanging over the side and then adhered my patterned paper to my card base. I die cut the word believe and glued it onto some vellum and layered that on top. I finished my card with some circle glitter stickers and a few drops of glossy accents here and there. I think it turned out so pretty with all the shimmer and the non traditional Christmas colors.

Be sure to check out Stick It Down challenge blog!
Great inspiration from the team and wonderful sketches!

If You Give A Crafter A Cookie #59

Hi crafty friends!
I hope you are having a fabulous Thursday!!
I'm pretty excited because today is my very first post as a new design team member for
Yay!!!

Here is the photo inspiration for challenge #59:

The sponsor for this challenge is:

Here is a look at the project I made based on the cookie photo:

I was so inspired by the picture! I loved that beautiful bird and can we just take a moment to appreciate the detail that is in the gingerbread house?? My gingerbread houses never ever resemble anything close to that lol! Mine are always a big goopy mess! So since my baking skills are lacking, I figured I could try to recreate it using paper lol! I used a SVG from My Scrap Chick titled Country Village House boxes for my project. I used the small house and gave it a gingerbread look by using some kraft cardstock. I finished off my box by doodling with white gel pen, some bling along the roof's "frosting" and adding some holly at the top. I filled the box with some Christmas candy and it is ready to go :)

Every time a bell rings....

Hey crafty friends!
I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!!

Today I am here to share a easy little gift that uses those great
Pink & Main dies and a stamp!

I cut this fun little box from a file that I found in the Silhouette store. After I had it all assembled, I used some dies from Pink & Main to help embellish it. I cut the green glitter scallop out using one of the Scallop Circle Dies. Then I layered a red circle on top using the Stitched Circle Dies. I stamped my greeting using one of awesome sayings in the Christmas Quotes stamp set and then used one of the Stitched Rounded Rectangles to cut it out.  I popped it up with some foam tape for a little dimension, I felt like my box needed just a little something so I added some pearls to the corners and a big green bow to hold the box shut. I added some jingle bells to match that awesome sentiment. I took it one step further and added some chocolate bell candy to the inside :) This is going to make a perfect little gift for a neighbor, teacher, postal worker, delivery driver, etc. At least I hope so :)

There are so many awesome quotes in the Christmas Quotes stamp set!

Shopping Our Stash #282

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week challenge #282 is....
Tag, you're it!!!
Let's see some tags! Whether they are on a card or a tag by itself.

Here is what I created:

Isn't this little elf the cutest elf ever?? I stamped him and another present onto some white cardstock and colored him in with my copic markers. Once I had him all colored in, I used a tag die to cut him out. Layered him onto another tag and added my greeting. I finished it by adding some white ribbon and some red and white baker's twine. I left the ribbon extra long so that I can easily attach it to the gift.

Neglected items from my stash that I used are:

  • Tag Dies and Tag Die Layers from My Creative Time. I can't remember the last time I used these dies but I am so glad I remembered them for this challenge.
  • Not really neglected but I re-purposed the twine off of some packaging.

The best way to spend Christmas cheer....

Hey crafty friends!
I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!!

Today I am here to share a cute card that uses a fun
 Pink & Main stamp!

We love the movie "ELF" so this quote that can be found in the Christmas Quotes stamp set is said quite often in our home during the holidays lol! I figured some Elf feet on a card with the quote would make a really cute Christmas card to send to someone. I found a tutorial on how to make the Elf feet on YouTube HERE. They are super simple to make and I normally make at least one card a year with Elf feet cause I think they are so cute lol!

There are so many awesome quotes in the Christmas Quotes stamp set!

Shopping Our Stash #281

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week challenge #281 is....
Gift Card / Gift Packaging

Here is what I created:

This little bag was so simple to create and came together rather quickly. I used a paper bag die to cut out my bag pieces. Before I assembled my bag together, I stenciled on some falling snow with white ink and then clear sparkly embossing powder. I die cut my little winter scene, adhered that to the front of my bag and then assembled my bag. That cute little reindeer was actually colored last year! I never got around to using him so onto my bag he went! I popped him up with some foam tape and added some glossy accents to his little red nose. I heat embossed my greeting and added some wired red tinsel for my handle and the bag was complete!

Inside I was able to fit a gift card and a few pieces of candy:

That little reindeer makes me smile :)

Neglected items from my stash that I used are:

  • Reindeer die cut left over from a previous project
  • Frost White Ink, I always seem to forget about white ink
  • Snow fall stencil (last used last winter)
  • Transparent Embossing Powder. I don't even remember when I purchased it lol

Christmas Card Challenges:Candy Cane

Hello crafty friends!
I hope your Sunday is off to a glorious start!

Today is my first post for
Yay!!

The challenge is:

Fun right? So many possibilities came to my mind for this challenge.
 I finally settled on this:

I was looking at some of the images in my silhouette library and came across this cutie. I have no idea when I purchased him, but I'm pretty sure I have never cut him out so this challenge was the perfect time! After I had my cute little Rudolf cut out, I added some liquid applique to his hat and fluffed it up with my heat tool. I added some cheeks and a glossy accent nose. I decided to add some faux white stitching to my card using a white gel pen and I finished off my card with an enamel dot in each corner.

Be sure to head over to the Christmas Card Challenges blog and take a look at what my design team sisters created! I hope you will decide to join us and create a card for the challenge! :)

Shopping Our Stash #279

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week challenge #279 is....
Warm and Fuzzy!
(Fireplace, Warm hats, Mittens, Cocoa, etc.)

Here is what I created:

I thought it would be neat to try and recreate a living room setting with the fireplace all aglow and warm. This was actually pretty easy to do. I cut a strip of patterned paper for the carpet, added a striped white piece of cardstock for the wainscoting and a grey piece of cardstock for the wall color onto a piece of scrap cardstock. I then attached that to the front of my card base. I used a die from My Favorite Things for the fireplace and stockings. I assembled the fireplace, attached some "baseboards" and a "chair rail" and placed it onto my card front. To finish off my card, I stamped my greeting, matted it and hung it above the fireplace. I had this sweet little branch swag in one of my stamp sets so I colored it and fussy cut it out and placed it over the greeting.

Neglected items from my stash that I used are:
  • Fireplace die from My Favorite Things. I have had this die for about a year and never used it until now.
  • Branch from the July 2014 Peachy Keen Stamp Club set. I have never used this particular image from here.
  • Patterned Paper from the Remarkable paper pad. I hardly ever use this paper pad even though it has some beautiful colors and patterns in it.

Be sure to head over to the Shopping Our Stash Challenge Blog to see what my design team sisters created. I hope you will decide to make a project and join us, I would love to see what you create!

If you are a follower, your comment could be randomly drawn to win some fantastic prizes! Read each blog post carefully to see what is being offered at each stop along the way!

Here is my project:

Nothing says Fall to me quite like Pumpkin coffee, pumpkin bread, pumpkin cake, pretty much pumpkin everything lol! Yup! I'm one of those crazy pumpkin people! :) When I saw this cute little coffee pod cart in the Harvest Sunset set from SVGCuts, I had to have it. It was so simple to put together and pretty quick too! After I had my cart assembled, I stamped out my greeting, trimmed it out and flagged the end. The cart comes with a banner that can be cut out but it was a little big for what I needed so it was just easier for me to create my own with my paper trimmer. I curled one end and attached it to my handle. I added a double bow and tucked some leaves under. I finished off my cart with some sparkly enamel dots to act as the "screws" for the wood panels on my cart.

My daughter is a bigger Pumpkin nut than I am, so this cart filled with Pumpkin Spice coffee happily found a home with her lol!

Here is a look at the prize that I am offering.
Two 6x6 paper pads:

Hello with a Smile :)

Hi crafty friends!
I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!

Today I am here to share a fun card that uses some new
Pink & Main stamps and dies!

Isn't she sweet? I used the new stamp set called Picture Perfect for her. I stamped her, colored her and paper pieced her clothes and then used the coordinating Picture Perfect Dies to cut her out. For her smiling face, I used one of the faces from the Mini Faces Set 2 stamp set. I think she is absolutely darling! I popped her up with some foam tape onto a card layer that was cut out using the Stitched Rounded Rectangles dies. I finished off my card with some ribbon, a bow and some sequins.

Shopping Our Stash #278

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week challenge #278 is....
Use something already out on your desk!!

This was a hard one for me. My craft space is in my dining room and our house is a open floor plan. You can see my crafty space as soon as you walk in our front door so I am in the habit of keeping my desk clean. As soon as I get done with a project, I clean my area up. I do have a little soap dish that I keep extra die cuts in though so that is what I used for my project.

I had a tag and some hearts that I had foiled in here. A few months back I originally planned on using them in a layout for my Project Life album but ended up going a different direction so into the dish they went. I pulled them out and used them to create a really simple card.

Forgive my picture, for some reason I had a really hard time trying to photograph this. I'm guessing it was all the foil. This was the best picture of about 25 lol.  Anywho, I doodled around the edge of my card base with a black pen and added a black scallop rectangle with some foam tape to the center. I added some twine to my tag and adhered it at an angle. I added the hearts and called the card good! Easiest card I have done in quite awhile and I love how it turned it out!!
