Wishing You A Wonderful Day!

Hi everyone and happy happy Monday!

Today starts a new challenge over at the Bitten By The Bug 2 Challenge Blog!
The theme for this challenge is...

Back To School!
Let's see some Cricut themed Back To School projects!
*Your project must include a Cricut cut on it somewhere*

Here is a look at the project that I created to share with you today:

I found this fun candy bar wrapper in Cricut Design Space. There are actually a bunch of designs for different occasions as well as different size candy bars, but I chose to go with this fun pencil that accommodates a long chocolate bar. This was really simple to put together! I loaded my papers onto my mat and the Cricut pretty much did all the work. After I had my pieces assembled, I added a sentiment to the front, a few doodles with a black and white pen, and a fun polka dotted bow.

I think this would be so fun to put into a lunch box for a yummy surprise!

Nurse: Another Word For Hero

 Hi everyone!

I hope you are having a fabulous day!

Today is my day to take over the Paper Nest Dolls blog and I created a sweet card to share with you today that I made for my daughter.

I started my card by creating a dark blue card base and layering some fun Nurse themed patterned paper on top. I used a Zig Zag Die to cut out a piece of blue cardstock, as well as a piece of white cardstock, and added a bit of doodling around the perimeter. I added some twine before popping up the layer onto my card with some foam tape. I colored that adorable Essential Worker Nurse from Paper Nest Dolls with my Copic markers and cut her out with my Scan N Cut. Once I had her trimmed out, I popped her up onto my card with more foam tape. I stamped my greeting using a stamp set from MFT, did some more doodling and tucked it behind my image just a bit and finished my card by adding some enamel hearts and Nuvo drops.

I think this came out so cute and I can't wait to send this to my daughter! Hopefully it puts a smile on her face after a long day.

Charge!

Hi everyone!
I hope this finds you happy and healthy!
Today I have a super fun birthday card to share with you that I created with a few challenges in mind.

Here is a look at the card that I created:

I started my card by creating a Slimline card from some Kraft Cardstock and layering a stitched panel on top. I then cut a scalloped rectangle from some white cardstock and popped it up with some foam tape. I adore these little Viking Kids from C.C. Designs! Aren't they adorable? I stamped three of them onto a piece of white cardstock and then masked them to create my background scene with distress oxide inks. Once I had my background created (dirt road, grass and sky), I removed the masks from the images, colored them with my Copic markers and adhered my image panel onto the scallop rectangle. I stamped my sentiment onto a piece of Kraft cardstock, wrapped some hemp twine around and popped it up with more foam tape to complete my card.

I think it turned out so incredibly cute!!

I will be entering my card into the following challenges:

You Take The Cake

 Hi everyone!

I hope your day is off to a great start!
Today I am sharing a super fun birthday card that I created using an adorable image from Digi Doodle Studios called Franci & Bosco.

Isn't this fun? So simple to do too! I started by creating a card base from some white cardstock, covering it with some blue patterned paper and adding a white scallop rectangle on top. I used a metal die from MFT to cut out my greeting twice, once from my bright pink cardstock layer and again from some confetti patterned paper so that I could do a bit of inlay diecutting. I colored that adorable image from Digi Doodle Studios called Franci & Bosco with my Copic markers and used my Scan N Cut to cut her out. I popped her up with foam tape and completed my card with some fun confetti pieces, sequins and Nuvo drops. I think this came out so cute!

Sweetest Day Ever!

Hi everyone and happy happy Monday!

Today starts a new challenge over at the Bitten By The Bug 2 Challenge Blog!
The theme for this challenge is...

Watermelon! 🍉
Let's see some Cricut themed projects that feature watermelon!
*Your project must include a Cricut cut on it somewhere*

Here is a look at the card that I created to share with you today:

I created my card by using a thick piece of white cardstock to create my card base. I went old school and used a border punch from Fiskars to create that fun little lace border from some red cardstock and adhered it to some watermelon patterned paper. I added it to the bottom of my card and used a corner rounder to round the bottom two corners.   I cut a piece of green cardstock using a cross-stitch die and layered it on top of a piece of vellum. I added that to my card front along with my greeting. Isn't this little girl adorable? I found her at Little Scraps of Heaven and cut her out using my Cricut. Once I had her almost assembled, I used a face from Peachy Keen Stamps before adding her bangs. I added her to my card and added some glossy accents to the watermelon seeds and some tiny little red rhinestones for her earrings. I completed my card with some black enamel dots and some black doodles along the perimeters. I think this turned out so adorable!

Hi everyone!

Here is a look at the card that I created for the challenges:

I think this little guy from The Greeting Farm is so darling! We are big HP fans in my house so of course I needed him. He has been sitting for awhile not being used though so I was so happy to finally break him out, get him colored up and put onto a card.  I started by making my card base from some black cardstock. I added some patterned papers from Echo Park on top to create my layers. I did a bit of masking to create my little scene and colored it in with my Copic markers. I used some circle dies to cut it out and heat embossed my greeting on a piece of coordinating paper and added them to the front of my card. I completed the look by adding some doodles around the perimeter, some star confetti pieces and some gold glitter Nuvo drops. I think he is just so cute and am so happy with how my card turned out.

A Friend Like Gnome One Else

Hi everyone!
I hope you are having a fabulous day!

Today is my day to take over the Paper Nest Dolls blog and I created a fun card to share with you today.

I have a soft spot for Gnomes, especially super cute ones so I of course was itching to print out some images from the Gnome Set by Paper Nest Dolls and make a card. I printed that fun mushroom house and that sweet little girl onto some white digital cardstock and colored them in with my Copics. Once I had my images colored in, I used my Scan N Cut to cut them out. I die cut a white Scallop rectangle and did a bit of light blue coloring to create my sky, staying inside the stitched lines to give the appearance of a white scallop frame. I added some green cardstock to act as my grass and then added my mushroom house and Gnome. I added some red crochet thread to the top, tying it off into a bow before adding my image panel onto my card base. I completed my card by adding some white doodles, some glossy accents on the door knob and my greeting along the bottom.

I'm so happy with how this card turned out! I think it is just so fun!

Sending Sunny Smiles!

Hi everyone!
I hope you are having a wonderful day!
Today I have a sweet summer themed card to share with you that I made recently to send to my friend Kimberly. Every month we try to challenge each other with a new project and then swap what we created. This particular one was to create a card based on this sketch from Poetic Artistry from a few weeks ago.

Super fun sketch! Here is a look at the card that I created based on it:

I had so much fun making this! I started by coloring that sweet little girl from the Drink Up The Sunshine stamp set from MFT with my Copic markers. Once I had her colored in, I die cut her out using a circle from WRMK. I layered some bright and cheery patterned papers on top of a bright pink card base and stamped my greeting onto a piece of bright yellow patterned paper. I tied a bit of crochet thread around my sentiment and popped it up with some foam tape. I colored some flowers from the Polynesian Paradise stamp set, fussy cut them out and added them to my card. I completed my card by adding some glittery Nuvo drops.

I think it turned out so cute!!

Digi Doodle Studios August Challenge!!

Hi everyone!
Happy 1st of August!!
Today starts a new challenge over at the

The theme for the month of August is....

Things With Wings

Here is a look at the card that I created:

For my card, I decided to use the image called Briar Berry Spry Fairy. Isn't she the sweetest? I colored her with my Copic Markers and then added a bit of grass along the bottom. I used a Stitched Oval Die and did a little partial diecutting so that her wing would go outside of the oval just a bit for a little interest. I added my greeting, offsetting it a bit, and a seam binding bow before popping her up onto my card front with foam tape.  I completed my card by adding some Nuvo drops to the mushroom as well as some randomly placed onto the card.

You can find Briar Berry Spry Fairy in the Digi Doodle Shop HERE
