Key To My Heart

Hi there! Today I wanted to share with you a card that I made for the challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut---Use a label shape other than a plain circle.

I decided to use this challenge as an opportunity to make my husband's Valentine's Day card. Here is what I created for the challenge:

First, I have to say that this card is so much prettier in person. I could not seem to be able to pick up all the shimmer on it for some reason. I cut my label out of Twinkle Toes at 3.75" and then used some white Pearl Mist and made it really shimmer. My heart was cut out of Everyday Pop-Up Cards at 2.25". I cut my key out of Sweethearts at 1.25. I cut 3 keys out and layered them on top of each other to give it some thickness. I then added some pearls to my label and tied my bow and hung the key from it. So quick to make but I think he is really going to like it.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation. I really appreciate it!

We Are A Great Pear--With Joy's Life Stamps

Happy Wednesday my crafty friends! I hope you are all having a great day! Since it is Wednesday, I get to show you another creation made with Joy's Life Stamps. This week the Joy's Life DT was challenged to make a family project. I decided to make a card to give to my hubby.

I love making my hubby little cards to put in his lunch or to slip into his bag he takes to work. I cut my pears out of the Just Because Cricut cartridge at 4.5". How cute is that sentiment? It goes perfectly with the pears.

I got my sentiment from the adorable stamp set called, Yummy Puns from Joy's Life. There are so many cute sayings on that stamp set!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation. Joy is having a design team call and you still have time to apply. Ahoy Matey!

Hi to all my crafty friends! Today I would like to share with you a card I made for the Jan. Card challenge over at scrapbook.com as well as the challenge at Fantabulous Cricut (Man Time).

I used the faux leather technique on my card. You can find the tutorial on how to do this technique HERE. I always have the hardest time making masculine cards, this technique works really well for creating a masculine card. I used the Life's A Party cricut cartridge to cut out my treasure map. I cut it out at 2.5". The inside of the card reads, "Aye hope you have a great birthday, Matey". The stamp on the front of my card as well as the one inside came from the Joy's Life You're So Punny stamp set.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation! I really appreciate it! I hope you have a great crafty day!

Kisses!

Hello all my crafty friends! Today I will be sharing a project with you that I made with the new yummy Valentine Cherry Cupcake twine from Trendy Twine!

The cute little mailbox is from the dollar spot at Target. I love altering these. They are so much fun! I wrapped the front with some Valentine Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine and also added some to the flag arm. I'm not really sure what that part is called haha! I put a bag of Hersey Kisses inside the mailbox and tied it shut with some more of that yummy twine! The Valentine Cherry Cupcake twine is a must have for all your Valentine projects! It is so pretty and coordinates so well with all the pink and red that you will be using. :)

Encouragement Card

Happy Friday! Any crafty plans out there for the upcoming weekend? I have plans to work on some layouts. Hopefully I can get at least one layout done. I'm so behind on my scrapbooking. Wish me luck :) Today I wanted to share a card that I made for a couple of different challenges.

I have to say, this card is much prettier in person. With winter here I am having a hard time finding the right time to take my pictures in natural light. I really need to make a light box haha! Anyway, I decided to make this card an encouragement card. I love that sentiment! The inside reads, "Believe in Yourself".

This card was made for the following challenges:

To Pickup Your Spirits with Joy's Life Stamps

Happy Wednesday my crafty friends! I hope you are all having a great day! Since it is Wednesday, I get to show you another creation made with Joy's Life Stamps. This week the Joy's Life DT was challenged to make a project with metal. I decided to make a card using some of my metal brads.

When I first started paper crafting, I would buy brads whenever I saw them. Somewhere along the way, I stopped using them. I was so happy that I was able to pull them out of my stash and actually use some of them for my project. I cut my truck out of the Just Because Cards cricut cartridge at 3.5". Look at that sentiment:

How cute is that? I got my sentiment as well as those cute little stamped brackets from the Barnyard Puns Joy's Life stamp set. What a cute sentiment to go along with all those cute little truck images on your cricut cartridges. Adorable!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation. Don't forget to stop by the Joy's Life DT page to see more inspiration using metal. I hope you have a great crafty day!

Hello Cupcake

Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a great holiday season and rang in the New Year safe and sound. :) Today I get to share with you my very first post as a Trendy Twine designer! I am so excited to be a part of this design team and am looking forward to sharing my projects with you.

This month we are showcasing the yummy new Valentine Cherry Cupcake twine. This twine is absolutely beautiful and goes so well with all those pink and red projects that you may be making for Valentines Day.

Here is what I created:

I used my Sweet Tooth Boxes cricut cartridge and cut out my cupcake box at 9.5". I ran the top piece through my cuttlebug to give it a little dimension, added some doodling and finished it off with Valentine Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine as well as Christmas Berry Red Trendy Twine through my cherry button. I decided to make a little gift card to go with my cupcake (which is filled with starburst candies, yum!). I went with a 3x3 card and cut out my cupcake from the Sweet Treats cricut cart at 1.5".I kept the card really simple but I think the twine bow really put the finishing touch on it.

Don't forget to stop by the Trendy Twine Blog to see more inspiring projects from the Design Team and to join in on this month's challenge!

You can also stop by the Trendy Twine store to pick up some of that yummy Valentine Cherry Cupcake for all your crafty projects.
