Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at
This week challenge #279 is....
Warm and Fuzzy!
(Fireplace, Warm hats, Mittens, Cocoa, etc.)
Here is what I created:
I thought it would be neat to try and recreate a living room setting with the fireplace all aglow and warm. This was actually pretty easy to do. I cut a strip of patterned paper for the carpet, added a striped white piece of cardstock for the wainscoting and a grey piece of cardstock for the wall color onto a piece of scrap cardstock. I then attached that to the front of my card base. I used a die from My Favorite Things for the fireplace and stockings. I assembled the fireplace, attached some "baseboards" and a "chair rail" and placed it onto my card front. To finish off my card, I stamped my greeting, matted it and hung it above the fireplace. I had this sweet little branch swag in one of my stamp sets so I colored it and fussy cut it out and placed it over the greeting.
Neglected items from my stash that I used are:
- Fireplace die from My Favorite Things. I have had this die for about a year and never used it until now.
- Branch from the July 2014 Peachy Keen Stamp Club set. I have never used this particular image from here.
- Patterned Paper from the Remarkable paper pad. I hardly ever use this paper pad even though it has some beautiful colors and patterns in it.
