MCT's 35th Edition Release Blog Hop

Happy Friday!!
Welcome to My Creative Time's 35th Release Blog Hop!!

I'm so happy that you decided to join us today!
If you came here from Miss Jessica's Blog, Chick-n-Scrap, then you are in the right spot.
If you just happened to stumble across the hop today on my blog and would like to start at the beginning, be sure to head over to My Creative Time and see Miss Emma!

I decided to create some fun little gift bags, perfect for Halloween, that showcases the
I also incorporated some of Emma's other products as well.

Since my kids are too old to go Trick or Treating, I make them (and my hubby) each a basket every year filled with candy. I try to package each type of candy differently so that it adds to the fun.

For my first bag, I cut out my tag in some black glitter cardstock using the Tag Dies. I then used the NEW Tag Die Layers to cut out my orange layer to add to the top of my black tag. I added a couple of strips of that fun zig zag that I cut out from the NEW Tag Die Layers as well. I added to BOO by using the Uppercase Fun Dies and then added some googly eyes as well as some star confetti. I cut out the scallop circle and the largest circle from the Bunch of Fun Circle Dies, layered them on top of each other and then folded it in half. I punch a hole and attached my tag to my half circle flap using some black satin ribbon.

For my second bag, I pretty much did the same concept, only I used patterned paper for the top layer of my tag and added one strip of the zig zag to the bottom of the tag.

Same concept for my third bag except instead of using the zig zag, I used that super cute row of circles that also comes in the NEW Tag Die Layers set.

Here is a picture of all 3 bags along with a little peek of the candy that is in this packaging lol!

I know it is a little early for Halloween, but it is one of my favorite times to create for and I have a ways to go to fill up their baskets lol! One down, many more to go :)

Here is a quick look at the entire release:

MCT's 35th Edition Sneak Peeks Day 1

Happy Monday!!
Welcome to Day 1 of the My Creative Time sneak peeks for the 35th Edition!
I'm so glad you stopped by to see the sneaks!
This release is so fantastic and you are definitely not going to want to miss one single day!

Today we are giving you a sneak peek of a fun new set titled, Fun Vertical Greetings.

I decided to get a jump start on a Christmas gift by making a gift card holder:

For my gift card holder, I used the Embossed Gift Card Holder to create my base. I added that fun sentiment from the NEW Fun Vertical Greetings set and heat embossed it with some silver embossing powder. I added some patterned paper to the top flap and used the Fun Stitched Edges to create my field of snow. That adorable little snowman comes from the You're So Cool set. Isn't he adorable? I attached some ribbon and tied a double loop bow. For the center of my bow, I used one of the snowflakes from the Winter Flake Dies set and also embossed it with some silver embossing powder.

Here is the gift card holder open:

PDE Linky Party #17

Happy Tuesday!
Are you guys ready for the start of another great linky party at

Rules:
1) New projects only
2) Follow the theme
3) Any type of crafting welcome
4) Unlimited times to link up
5)  Have fun & Follow us at PDELinkyParty!

Here is what I created for this Linky Party:

I decided to make a fun little treat holder for Halloween using the Bubblegum Treat Box die from My Creative Time. I also used the Scallop & Stitched Circle die and the All Around Holidays die and stamp set. This project was so simple and easy to make and would be very easy to mass produce. I simply cut off one end of the Bubble Gum Treat Box (at the spot where you would tie the ribbon) and folded the flaps on top of each other to create a box that would stand.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!

Don't forget to head over to the linky party by clicking HERE to see what my wonderful Creative Team sisters created and to enter yourself! I would love to see what you create!!

My Creative Time's Head Of The Class Blog Hop

Happy Friday!
Welcome to My Creative Time's Head of the Class Blog Hop!!

I'm so happy that you decided to join us today!
If you came here from Miss Jessica's Blog, Chick-n-Scrap, then you are in the right spot.
If you just happened to stumble across the hop today on my blog and would like to start at the beginning, be sure to head over to My Creative Time and see Miss Emma!
.

I love this mini release so much that I have a couple of different projects to show you today.

First up is this cute little paint bucket and matching 3x3 card that you can give to the teacher for the first day of school or even for Teacher's Appreciation.

For my paint bucket, I wrapped the outside with some grid line paper. I used one of the edges from the Fun Stitched Edges dies and wrapped that along the top of my grid paper all the way around the can. I then used the NEW Uppercase Fun Dies to die cut some letters from different colors of cardstock and attached them to my grid paper going all the way around the can as well. For my card, I cut a piece of the grid cardstock to 3x6 and folded it in half to make a 3x3 card. I attached another one of those fun edges from the Fun Stitched Edges dies along the side of my card. I added that super fun greeting from the NEW Write On set and popped up that apple from the NEW Love To Learn set with some foam adhesive. I added some polka dot ribbon to both the paint can and the card.

For the top of my can, I added a circle cut out using the Bunch Of Fun Circle Dies and then popped up that cute little apple from the New Love To Learn set.

Even though this new release is School Themed, I wanted to show you that you can make other projects that aren't necessarily school related. I decided to make a Thank You gift card holder. I simply used the Embossed Gift Card Holder (still one of my favorites) for my base. I then took the name tag from the New Love To Learn set and made that a layer for the front of my gift card. My greeting came from the New Write On set and that pretty little flower is from the Stitched Pretty Flowers and Leaves Dies. I added an enamel dot to my flower center and a few random sequins to finish it off.

Take a look at the new goodies in this release:

Super cute stuff right??

Stretch Your Stamps 2 Bonus Day

Hi crafty friends!

Happy Thursday!
Today I have another project to show you that I made for the

This is the card that I created as part of my homework:

For the bonus day, it was all about Color Me Stamps and Stephanie Klauck showed us how to create Mirror Images out of our stamps to stretch them even further. I decided to use this super cute stamp from My Creative Time and create a mirror image of the tree branch so that I could have branches on both sides of my card. I loved trying this technique and I definitely think I will be using it more!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!

What A Treat Wednesday with My Creative Time

Happy Wednesday!!

Today over at the My Creative Time blog,
it is What A Treat Wednesday!!

What A Treat Wednesday is a new feature where we will be showing you treat bags, boxes and containers that incorporate those fabulous My Creative Time Products!! This is right up my ally! I love making little treat containers and my hubby loves getting the treats :)

Here is the treat holder that I made to share with you today:

I decided to make a fun little milk carton (you can find the tutorial HERE) and embellish the front for some extra fun. I used the adorable little frame from the Stitched Mini Frame & Arrow Dies set and used the stitched flight pattern and the paper airplane from the Fun Paper Airplane Die to make it appear that the plane was flying out of the frame. For my sentiment, I stamped a greeting from the Plane & Simple set onto one of the banners from the Trio Stitched Banners. I love these banners!! I finished it off by adding some enamel dots and closing the top with a fun clip.

Here is my box opened:

I filled my milk carton with some candy and gave it to my hubby as a fun little surprise. He loved it and I believe the candy is almost gone already haha!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!

This is the tag that I created as part of my homework:

I was so inspired by the tag that Laura Bassen made using the Over The Edge technique that I had to give it a try myself. I loved how she put a pop of black over her vibrant colored background. I am having so much fun in this class!

Stretch Your Stamps 2 Day 5

Happy Tuesday!!

Today I have another card to show you that I made for the

This is the card that I created as part of my homework:

For my card, I used the technique from Jennifer Rzasa. She showed how to use your distress inks not only to  stamp but to watercolor your image as well. For my rose, I wanted more of a bold vibrant color so with the help of my stamp a ma jig, I was able to keep reapplying the color to the stamp so that I could build lots of layers of ink.

Here is a close up of my flower:
