Here is the card that I created that incorporates both challenges:

I keep my card pretty simple and flat so that it is easier to mail.

My daughter loves all the images on the Create A Critter cartridge so I made this card with her in mind to send to her at college.

I cut my bee out of the Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge at 3.25" and popped him up with some foam adhesive onto a white scallop rectangle that was cut out using my spellbinders. 

My black and white polka dot strip is actually some Smash Tape that I have had in my stash for quite awhile and never used. That adorable little sentiment is from the You're So Punny stamp set from Joy's Life Stamps. 

I finished it off with a little black and white polka dot bow.
