Adventure Layout

Hi crafty friends!
I hope you are all having a wonderful Tuesday!
I wanted to pop in quickly today and share a layout that I created  for the challenge over at

As soon as I saw this sketch, I knew the photo that I wanted to create a layout for. It has been awhile since I have created a layout and it pretty much took me almost the entire month to finish it! haha! I had so much fun though and I love creating layouts! I just never seem to have many pictures anymore since the kids are grown, but anywho, here is the layout that I created based on the above sketch:

My hubby and I recently took a little day adventure and went for a ride on his bike to see all the colors of Fall. At one of our stops, we snapped this selfie and I loved the picture of the two of us so much that I printed it out almost as soon as we got home that evening lol! I will add some journaling about our day to the kraft space under the photo before I add it to my layout display in my craft room. I used up some older papers from my stash for my layout and fussy cut the Harley logo off of a clothing price tag. Gotta love that!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!
I hope you have a great crafty day!

Here is a look at the second layout sketch of the month provided to us by Heather:

Here is my layout I created based on the sketch:

Last year my daughter and I got our picture taken with Santa on a whim. As soon as I saw the sketch, the idea for this picture being on a layout came to mind! I scanned the original picture so that I could manipulate it a bit for this layout. My daughter and I were both wearing bright colors that didn't really go with the red. so I turned the picture into a black and white and then turned everything that was red back to red. I love the way it turned out!! The app I used was called Color Pop. Once I had the picture the way I wanted it, I printed it out and matted it onto some white and red glitter cardstock. I added it to my gray striped paper, and added my die cut word, Believe, to the bottom of the layout. I die cut some stars and just started adding them and filling in some of the gaps with sequins and Nuvo drops. I added the date on a label and some doodling around the border and called it good lol! It is so incredibly glittery and sparkly in person, this picture definitely doesn't do it justice. I love how it turned out!

This is my last post as a deign team member for Sketch N Scrap. I have had so much fun being on this wonderful team with all these talented ladies!! Unfortunately, as my kids get older, the pictures I have to scrap are less and less. Thank you Lisa for allowing me to be a part of the Sketch N Scrap team!!

Here is a look at the second layout sketch of the month provided to us by Heather:

here is my take on the above sketch:

This layout was really fun to work on. My daughter and I have very similar taste in music and love a lot of the same bands, so when Panic! At The Disco was coming, we knew we had to not only go but meet the guys. The first two pics are of us before the Meet n Greet started and then the bottom photo is a pic of my daughter with the band. I made this for her layout display in her room so I will probably make another layout of me with the band for mine. I have to say, they are some of the funnest & nicest guys and we really had a great time, not only meeting them but at the concert later that evening, they put on an amazing show!! This layout was a little messier than I'm used to but I enjoyed actually using some of the mists that I have been collecting over the years for the splatters  lol!! I also typed up the setlist, trimmed it up and distressed it a bit before adding it to the pocket. The tickets are an older stamp and punch set from SU!. I cut out the title using my Cricut and the arrow embellishment is a combination of some stamps from MFT and MCT. I finished off the layout with some doodling and a few Nuvo drops.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and take a look at my latest creation!

Here is a look at the first layout sketch of the month provided to us by Lisa:

and here is my take on the above sketch:

I came across these photos of us taking selfies in the snow this past January and knew I wanted to scrapbook them to display them. There were so many different colors going on in the photo though with all our winter hats and coats that I decided to change the pics to black and white. Once I had that done, I went looking through some of my paper packs and these papers with the reds, grays and blues caught my eye and went perfectly with the pictures. I decided to cut out some snow flakes from my Cricut and popped them up onto my layout with foam tape and added some sticky back pearls to them. I also added a few sequins for a little shimmer.

Here is a look at the layout I created based on the sketch:

I came across this photo that I took of my hubby and son last year and knew I needed to put it on a layout so I could display it in the living room this year. I pulled some papers from the Thrilling Collection from Authentique and a few Halloween embellishments that I had in my stash. I added my title using Alphabet Dies 2 from Jaded Blossom and added a little bit of journaling underneath. So incredibly easy to put together!!

Here is a look at the 2nd layout sketch for August provided to us by Heather,
Layout Sketch #135:

Fabulous sketch right?? Here is the layout I created based on the above sketch:

At first I wasn't quite sure which photos I was going to use for the sketch and then when I saw these photos on my daughter's FB, I knew! She gave me the go ahead so I snagged them up lol! There isn't a lot of colors in the photos so I pretty much had my pic of papers in my stash. I really wanted to focus on them though. He is a yellow lab with green eyes and a brown nose and she is a girly girl. When I came across this floral paper, it was perfect! It incorporated the yellow, green and brown as well as the girly. Does that make sense or am I just crazy? lol The paper was from a stack so all the other papers coordinated perfectly! I used punches for the photo corner pieces, flowers and leaves. The scallop came from the Cricut as well as the font used for my title.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and take a look at my latest creation!

Sketch N Scrap #134

Hey crafty friends!!
Happy August!! Oh my, this year is flying by!!
Today I am back with another sketch reveal from Sketch N Scrap.
Just in case you don't already know, Sketch N Scrap is a sketch challenge blog that offers Layout and Card sketches each month! Layout sketches are posted on the 1st and 15th of each month and card sketches are posted on the 5th and 20th of each month. Here is a look at the latest layout sketch provided to us by Lisa, Layout Sketch #134:

Isn't that sketch wonderful!! I immediately knew which photos I wanted to use for it. I love when that happens!

For my layout, I went with some photos of some selfies that we took on the 4th. My son couldn't be with us that day since he was working and our dog is terrified of the noises so we just cooked out and hung out at home, keeping it pretty low key.  The three of us (hubby, daughter & me) did hop in the car right after dinner to go grab ice cream so that was fun lol! I'm rambling lol! Anywho, for my cardstock, I decided to go with a "wood grain" patterned paper for the back and adhered it to some white cardstock. I stuck with the traditional colors of the 4th for the rest. You can't tell from this photo but the stars on the white cardstock are actually gold foil. I added the date and some doodles with my white gel pen. I put my journaling along the bottom of the layout after this photo was taken.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and take a look at my latest creation!

Sketch N Scrap Layout #133

Hey crafty friends!!
I hope you are having a super Saturday!
Here is a look at the latest layout sketch provided to us by Heather, Layout Sketch #133.

Fun right? Here is my take on the above sketch:

Recently my hubby and I celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary. Whoa!! The actual anniversary was during the week and he was working so we decided to celebrate it on one of his weekends off by keeping it low key and doing the movies and lunch. This picture was taken on that day out. There were a lot of colors going on in the picture so I printed it out in black in white for the layout. I used some papers from Crate Paper. Not sure which collection it is, it was a Hot Buy at Michael's a couple of years ago. I cut out that scalloped piece of cardstock with my Cricut as well as the hearts and title. I added a doodled border and some sequins/pearls to finish it off. The papers all have a vintage feel to them with some random spots and smudges so I kept that going with inking up the edges on my cut outs. I think it turned out so pretty and am so happy with it!! It's currently in my display stand in the living room so I can see it everyday ♡

Sketch N Scrap #132

Hi crafty friends!!
I hope you are having a Super Saturday!!
Today I am so happy that I get to share with you my first post as a design team member for

Just in case you don't already know, Sketch N Scrap is a sketch challenge blog that offers Layout and Card sketches each month! Cool huh? I know I need some layout sketches to get my rear in gear and actually get some pictures onto some layouts haha! You don't even want to know how far behind I am in my actual albums! A year or so ago I bought a stand that holds 12x12 layouts and I'm having fun filling that up with some single page layouts of some more recent photos (I was always a double page girl). I'm not worried about scrapping in order anymore, as long as I'm getting some done, I'm a happy girl now. Enough of my gibberish.

Here is a look at the July 1st sketch courtesy of Lisa:

and here is the layout that I made based on the above sketch:

My daughter and her boyfriend recently went to one of those paint nights (I'm jealous) and so I created a layout for her to put into her album of them. I started out by using some older light blue cardstock that I had in my stash from awhile ago for my base. Following the sketch, I added strips at the bottom and top using some patterned papers from Echo Park and Bella Blvd. The green and yellow cardstock are from AC and the white cardstock is Georgia Pacific. I was inspired by the colors in the paintings on the wall and tried to pull from there. Once I had all of my papers adhered, I added my photos. I cut the paint splatters and paintbrush from an SVG by KaDoodle Bug out and put them onto my layout. I cut the title out with my Cricut and stamped the date. I finished off my layout with a few doodles here and there with my black Micron pen and some white Nuvo drops to act as paint drops. My daughter will be using the yellow and pink strip along the bottom to add her journaling about the night. I think the layout came out super cute and my daughter really liked it too :)

Pumpkin Patch Layout

Hey crafty friends!
I hope you are having a marvelous Monday!

I was able to work on another layout today (gasp!)!
Sketch N Scrap is having a month long celebration in honor of National Scrapbook Day on Facebook and I decided to play along and make a layout based on one of their sketches.

Here is the sketch I used:

Here is a look at my layout:

I decided to finally create a layout based on some photos from last year. My beautiful daughter was visiting some friends and while she was there, they decided to go to the pumpkin patch. These are some of the photos my daughter texted to me of her. I used some wood grain paper, cream & orange cardstock. The rest of the paper that I used came from the Autumn Leaves stack from DCWV. I used my Cricut to cut out my title and some stitched circle dies to create my little pumpkin. I finished it off by adding a white doodled line along the perimeter.

I will also be entering this into the PDE Linky Party #171

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and take a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!

Banquet Layout

Hey crafty friends!
I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday!
Today I have a layout (yup I said layout!! lol) to share with you that I made using the

Here is a look at their sketch:

and here is a look at the layout I created:

I started out in paper crafting with scrapbooking. As my kiddos got older though, there were less pictures taken so I started pocket style scrapbooking as a way to fill the layout void I guess lol! I typically only really share my cards online since that is what I create the most of. When I saw the sketch over at Sketch N Scrap, I knew it was perfect for some recent photos of my kiddos. A little back story....my kiddos could not stand each other growing up, they fought all the time lol! Fast forward to now. They work together, they volunteer together, they go out on weekends together. They grew up to be best friends and that makes my heart happy :) These photos were taken before the most recent banquet for their Fire Department. We had a few minutes before we needed to head to the venue so I took the opportunity to snap a few pics of them together. I decided to print them out in black and white since most of the grass was brown (winter time). My daughter's dress was black and gold and my son had gold stripes on his uniform so I decided I would go with some gold glitter cardstock as well as tie in some red for the Fire Dept. of course lol. I've had that metal Maltese Cross in my stash for quite awhile and was so happy to put it to use on this layout! I think it fit perfectly in the center of my photo collage. I finished off my layout with a few red and gold sequins. I'm so happy with how this layout turned out and it felt so good to scrapbook again!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!!

I hope you have a great crafty day!!

My Creative Time: Scrapping The Little Things

Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

Today at the My Creative Time blog, it is Scrapping The Little Things.
This is the day that we create a scrapbook page, smash book page or a project life page.

I decided to make a layout to have ready to insert some pictures from Thanksgiving onto.

I had so much fun building this layout! All of my photo mats are from the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More. I used the medium size frame for my mats which will allow me to use the smaller frame to cut out my picture and layer on top. (The measurements you see above will be what my photo will cut out at using the smallest rectangle frame). That way my pictures will also have that cool stitched border. I love that! I added a fun little tab using the Stitched Tab Die and I will add the date to that. The leaves were all cut from the A Thankful Heart set. I stamped my title using a sentiment from the A Thankful Heart set onto a frame from the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More. My title is adhered with foam tape only in the middle so that I can easily attach my photos by sliding them under that frame. For my pumpkins, I used the Stitched Oval Die for my tall pumpkin and the oval from the Seasonal Greetings for my shorter pumpkin. The pumpkin stems and leaves all came from the Seasonal Greetings set as well. I finished it off with just a couple of enamel dots and some wink of stella on my leaves for a little shimmer.

Thanks so much for stopping my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!
I appreciate it so much!!

My Creative Time: Scrapping The Little Things

Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and enjoyed the hop!!

Today at the My Creative Time blog, it is Scrapping The Little Things.
This is the day that we create a scrapbook page, smash book page or a project life page.
Today we are showing you layouts based on the following sketch:

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching here in the States, I decided to make a few cards for a Project Life layout.

I made 2 PL cards that are 4x6. I based each card off of the above sketch. For the card on the left, I left the sketch as is and for the card on the right, I flipped it sideways. Since I don't have the pictures yet, I figured this might be the easiest since I don't know which card will work for my particular picture yet. For my bases, I used the Stitched 4x6 Journal Die and for the photo area, I used the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die. My leaves were cut from the A Thankful Heart set. I stamped the Give Thanks from the A Thankful Heart set onto a banner from the Trio Stitched Banners set. The Grateful also came from the A Thankful Heart set and I stamped it onto one of the banners from the Stitched Decorative Banners. My leaves and my banners are glued down only on one end so that I can easily slip a photo underneath the elements that hang over onto the photo mat.

I decided that I would also make two smaller cards by using the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die. For my journal card, I used one of the stamps from the Journal It! set as well as another leaf from the A Thankful Heart set. For my plaid card, I cut a circle out of the middle by using a circle from the Bunch Of Fun Circles dies and placed a pumpkin, made from the Seasonal Greetings set, into the center.

Here is a look of all 4 cards together:

Now all I need is some pictures from Thanksgiving Day :)

My Creative Time: Scrapping The Little Things

Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!!

Today at the My Creative Time blog, it is Scrapping The Little Things.
This is the day that we create a scrapbook page, smash book page or a project life page.
Today we are showing you layouts based on the following sketch:

For my layout, I decided to create a fun layout based on an afternoon that my daughter and I had not too long ago. We went to our outdoor mall, walked around and did a little shopping and then stopped by the Starbucks inside our Barnes & Noble and had some delicious coffee and split a brownie.

For my layout, I stamped the date using some of the numbers from the Alpha Pack onto the Stitched Tab Die. I heat embossed the date with some white embossing powder. For my title, I used the Uppercase Fun Dies as well as the Lowercase Fun Dies. For my flowers, I used the Stitched Pretty Flowers & Leaves Dies. Once the flowers were assembled, I popped them up with a tiny bit of foam adhesive for just a bit of dimension.

For my layout, I wanted to create a page that I could put into a frame to display in my home.
One year, my hubby and I took a trip back to our honeymoon spot and spent a weekend there while my mom kept our kids for the weekend. This is the only picture where we are both in the picture, thanks to a random person walking by who graciously took it for us :)

For the layout, I used my Cameo to cut out that big pink circle. I used the Lowercase Fun Dies to cut out the word ADORE for my title. I cut out a strip of the blue cardstock and added a fun scallop edge to it by using the Fun Stitched Edges Dies. The "You And Me" is from the Circle Tab Sentiments stamp set. After it was stamped I punched it out with a 1" circle punch and then layered it on top of one of the circles from the Bunch Of Fun Circles Dies and then layered that on top of the Scallop Circle from the Scallop & Stitched Circle Die set. The tiny little yellow heart by the "You and Me" came from the 4x4 Journal Die + More set. I added some faux stitching with my white gel pen as well as a few enamel dots. I put my finished layout into a white 8x10 frame and it is now proudly displayed in my home :)

Thanks so much for stopping my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!
