September Mini Release

Happy Thursday! 

It's time for our new mini Sept release over at Jaded Blossom! 

We have a few new items available! Check them out HERE

Here is what I made using the new items...

 

For my first project, I decided to go with a Thanksgiving/Thankful themed card.

I created an A2 top folding card using some Kraft Cardstock. I used the Rectangle Dies 2 to cut out another piece of Kraft Cardstock, layering that on top of my card base & stamping the sentiment from the Friendsgiving stamp set onto the bottom right corner with some brown ink. I used the Card Layer Dies 2 to cut out a sheet of plaid patterned paper to get my diagonal piece, layering a piece of white and brown cardstock onto it that I cut out using the Border Dies. I popped it up onto my card with some foam tape and added some leaves that I cut out using the Street Lamp Die: Fall Add Ons.

I finished my card with some doodling, enamel hearts, Nuvo drops and some gems.

For the inside of the card, I used the extra diagonal piece that the Card Layer Die 2 cut out and added a brown scallop that I cut out using the Border Dies. I stamped my greeting using the Sunflowers For Sale stamp set, added more doodling and some leaves from the Fall Embellishment Clusters.

For my second project, I couldn't resist making a fun Halloween themed card. 

For this card, I started by creating the background for my scene. I used the Stylized Rectangle Dies and cut out two pieces of cardstock, one purple and one green.  I used the Spring Dies to cut out my grassy edge and added that to my purple cardstock, layering a fence that I cut out using the Halloween Scenic Dies in between my grass pieces. I added my background to a white A2 top folding card and began building my adorable little witch! I created her using the Girl Gnome Dies and the Gnome Dies: Halloween Costume Add Ons 2 and placed her onto my card, letting her foot hang off of the scene just a bit. I cut some clouds using the Spring Dies 2 & Gnome Dies: Weather Add Ons and added those to my card. I created my street lamp by using the Street Lamp Die, Street Lamp Die: Valentine Add On and the Haunted Highway stamp set. I placed it onto my card, allowing the top to hang off of the scene a bit as well. I finished my card by adding some bats from the Halloween Embellishment Clusters.

Hi everyone & happy November!!

Today starts a new challenge over at the Jaded Blossom blog!!

This month is Anything Goes!!

 We would love to see your projects that use some of those awesome Jaded Blossom stamps/dies!

Challenge Guidelines: 

1) Project must be new for this challenge, no back linking

2) Project must have a Jaded Blossom stamp, die, or stencil somewhere on it. 

3) Only one entry per person

Here is a look at the card that I created for the challenge: 

I created a Thanksgiving themed card to send to my mom.

I started by creating an A2 card using some Kraft cardstock and layered some white cardstock and green patterned paper on top. I added a little bit of doodling and then got to work creating my Tom the Turkey. I used the Octagon Dies: Turkey Add Ons and created the turkey using some Kraft cardstock, some Doodlebug Designs patterned papers and a couple of black enamel dots. Once I had him built, I added a little crochet thread bow and glued him to my card. I thought it would be cute if he was holding a sign, so I stamped my sentiment from the Gobble Gobble stamp set and used the Fall Dies to cut it out. The Gobble Gobble stamp set is currently sold out, but be sure to sign up to be notified when it gets restocked if it is something you are interested in. Once I had my sign built, I popped it up with foam tape and then cut out another one of the Turkey wings so that I could trim off a small corner and adhere it so that looked like his hand was holding the sign. I finished my card by adding some leaves and a pumpkin from the Fall Dies and a few white Nuvo Drops. 

 

I think this turned out so fun! I think my mom will get a kick out of it when she sees it :)

Here is a look at the project that I created to share with you today:

I recently purchased some little dry erase boards from the Dollar Tree and I thought it would be neat to create a little home decor item with one of them using some scrap vinyl. I found this greeting framed with Fall items in Cricut Design Space and knew it would be perfect! I cut it out three times, using orange vinyl, a light tan vinyl and a gold metallic foil vinyl. I weeded each color, only leaving certain items in each, and then transferred everything onto my dry erase board. I felt like it still needed a little something so I added a few random Nuvo drops in Dark Walnut to add a little interest. 

It is so much prettier in person. 

I had such a hard time getting the camera to pick up the gold metallic.

Jaded Blossom's November Challenge!

Hi everyone!!

I hope you are all having a fabulous Sunday!

Today starts a new challenge over at the Jaded Blossom Blog!! Yay!!!

This month's challenge is.......

Fall/Thanksgiving! 

Here is a look at what I created to share with you:

I decided to make a little candy holder by using the Candy Caddy. I cut my caddy out using some patterned paper from DCWV and inked around the edges with some brown ink. I decorated the front with some fun pumpkins and leaves that I cut out using the Fall Dies from Jaded Blossom. I popped the front pumpkin up with a bit of foam tape for a little dimension. I stamped my greeting from the Fall Tags stamp set and used the Mini Tag Dies 3 to cut it out. I tucked one end behind my pumpkins and added a leaf by the greeting to balance it a little. I completed my caddy by adding some Nuvo drops and some threads from some burlap ribbon to tie it shut. 

There are some chocolate candies wrapped in coordinating paper inside the caddy.

Jaded Blossom's September Release: Day 5!

Here is a look at the project that I created to share with you today:

I used the Dainty Topper Die and created my topper base with some kraft cardstock and added some  polka dot patterned paper for the layer piece. I heat embossed my greeting from the Gobble Gobble stamp set with some black ink and clear embossing powder. I colored that adorable Turkey from the Turkey Tag stamp set with my Copics, fussy cut him out and popped him up with some foam tape. I added some Candy Corn and chocolate covered peanuts to a 3x4 Clear Bag and added my topped to the top. I completed the look by adding a hemp twine bow and some Nuvo drops. What a fun and adorable way to give a little treat!

Jaded Blossom's November Challenge

Hi everyone!

Today starts a new challenge over at the Jaded Blossom blog!!

For the month of November we would like for you to create a project based on this photo/color combination for your inspiration:

Here is a look at what I created to share with you today based on the above colors for my inspiration:

I used the Scallop Rectangle Dies 2 to create my card base from some purple cardstock. To create my background, I used some Distress Oxide Inks and then used the Rectangle Dies 2 to cut it out. I spritzed it with some water and some gold shimmer spray and then adhered it to my card base. I stamped my sentiment using the Fall tags stamp set and cut it out using the Treat Tag Die. I added a bow using some white/gold twine. I complete my card with a few gold sequins and some orange Nuvo drops. I think it turned out so pretty!!

Here is a look at what I created to share with you today:

First up is a fun little card. I used the Abstract Circles and the Amethyst, Heather, Apple Green, Aspen Gold, Tangerine, Crimson and Caribbean Sea inks to create a little rainbow of color. I colored Madison - Be All Kinds of Happy with my Copic markers and popped her up on my card with some foam tape. I stamped my greeting using the Danielle - Be Happy, Be Bright, Be You stamp set. I finished my card with some crochet thread along with sequins and Nuvo drops.

For my second project, I made a quick and easy project that dresses up some packaging.

I created a belly band to go around some chocolate covered sunflower seeds. I stamped the Abstract Leaves with Pecan Ink onto some Kraft cardstock. I added a thin plaid strip down the center and folded it to fit my box. I wrapped some Hemp Cord around and tied a big bow. I used a Scallop Circle Die from Jaded Blossom, inked the edges with more Pecan Ink and added my greeting using the Give Thanks Die from Stamp Anniething. I added some Nuvo Drops to finish it off.

The belly band slides off easily.

I created my A2 cardbase from some Kraft cardstock and layered some striped patterned paper on top. I added a strip of orange patterned paper and wrapped some hemp cord around and added a little tag and bow. I colored Natalie - Gobble with my Copic markers, fussy cut her out and added her to my card front. I finished my card with a bit of doodling.

Pilgrim Kitty

Hey there crafty friends!!
I have some exciting news!! I'm thrilled to say that I am a new DT member for SVG Cutting Files!! Woot!! Woot!!

Today I will be giving you a little peek of a new file that will be coming to the store this Friday called Pilgrim Kitty.

I used the Nugget Easel Drawer Box and added that adorable little Pilgrim Kitty. I used a stamp from Jaded Blossom for my greeting as well as a JB die to cut it out.

Inside the drawer, there are some little candies that I wrapped with patterned paper to match. Such a great little parting gift to give to your guests and it was so super duper easy to assemble!!

Gobble 'til you wobble

(make a Thanksgiving or Thank You card)

Here is the card I created:

I kept my card fairly simple so that I could focus on the wreath and greeting. I stamped my wreath with some brown ink onto a piece of cream cardstock and added some pops of color with markers. I used my patterned paper as a guide for my colors. I also added some gold metallic dots with a gel pen. I cut out my greeting using a word die from some kraft card stock and placed it onto a piece of vellum and adhered it over my wreath. 

Neglected items from my stash that I used are:

--Heidi Swapp Brown Ink (I always seem to reach for black ink)

--Gold Gel Pen (bought it for Chritmas cards last year and never used it)
