The Perfect Sentiment Challenge #11 (PSC11)

Happy Wednesday! Are you guys ready for another great challenge week over at The Perfect Sentiment? This week is a sketch challenge. The challenge: Create a card that reflects a sentiment for Thank You. The twist: Use the following sketch for your inspiration.

Here is the sketch:

Here is the card that I created for the challenge:

For my card, I used the Create A Critter cricut cartridge to cut out my little lamb at 2.5". I used some Trendy Twine for her little bows and for the little knots in the buttons and my sentiment came from the Lots of Pun Joy's Life Stamp Set. The Paper is from Making memories. The sketch really made this card super simple to make and I think it is adorable. I love that little lamb, but then again, I love Create A Critter hehe. All of the animals are too cute!

This week The Perfect Sentiment is being sponsored by Pattie's Creations Digital Stamps, so make sure you stop by The Perfect Sentiment Challenge Blog to learn all the details of what the prize is this week as well as entering the challenge. I look forward to seeing what you create!

The Perfect Sentiment Challenge #9 (PSC09)

Happy Wednesday! Are you guys ready for another great challenge week over at The Perfect Sentiment? Since it is the 5th Wednesday of the month, the challenge this week is all about CASE'ing one of the Design Team Members cards. Sounds fun huh? Just remember to give credit to the dt member. :)

Here is the card that I created:

I wanted to make a really simple card but one that still made a statement for my husband. I love giving him cards out of the blue and he loves getting them. Most of the time, I hide them so he is really surprised when he comes across one. For this card, I made a portrait style card and used a border punch to punch 3 different layers. Then I layered them on top of each other and attached them to the bottom of the card. My tickets are a stamp from the dollar bin at Michael's. I just stamped them and then cut them out by hand. I added some ribbon and some photo corners to finish it.

This week, the challenge is being sponsored by the Digital Emporium. Head over to The Perfect Sentiments challenge blog to learn the details of what you could win if you play along as well as looking to see what the rest of the talented ladies on the design team came up with. I hope you will play along with us this week. I look forward to seeing what you create!

The Perfect Sentiment Challenge #7 (PSC07)

Happy Wednesday! Are you guys ready for another great challenge week over at The Perfect Sentiment? This week is all about helping you with those baby cards. The Challenge? Make a Baby card. The Twist? Stitch-it-up, use hand-stitching, machine-stitching, or faux stitching.

Here is what I created for the challenge:

For my card, I cut my base out of the Wild Card Cricut cartridge at 5". My baby in the stroller was cut out of the Baby Steps cricut cartridge at 2.5". I added some faux stitching with my handy white gel pen (I love that pen and don't know what I would do without it hehe). I added some little pink rhinestones and a big pink bow and voila! Cute Cute Cute!

The Perfect Sentiment Challenge #6 (PSC06)

Happy Wednesday! Are you guys ready for a great new challenge week over at The Perfect Sentiment? This week you are being challenged to make an All Occasion Card. The twist? The twist is that you have to use the following picture as your inspiration:

How cool is that picture? Here is the card that I created:

I decided to make an easel style card for this challenge. When I looked at the inspiration picture, the turquoise, purple and orange kept popping out at me, so I went from there to create my card. How cute is that little girl digi stamp? She is from Robyn's Fetish, who I'm happy to say is our sponsor this week over at The Perfect Sentiment!

The winner of this week's challenge is going to get to pick 5 digi images from Robyn's Fetish! Pretty cool huh?

I decided to make a gate fold card for this challenge. I wanted to use a cornucopia for my card and I found one on my Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut Cartridge. I love that cartridge! There are so many little hidden gems on there. :) I am pretty pleased with how it came out and I think the brads were the perfect touch to finish off my card. I really need to use those more often. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation. I really appreciate it. I hope you will stop over at The Perfect Sentiment and join us. I would love to see what you create for this challenge.

If you are looking for my Cricut 360 Spooky Halloween Blog Hop post, click HERE

Happy Wednesday! Are you guys ready for another great challenge from The Perfect Sentiment today? This week is all about Get Well cards. Create a card that reflects a sentiment of getting well. The twist? Include embossing, it doesn't matter if it is dry or heat embossing.

Here is the card that I made:

I cut my card base out of the Sentimentals Cricut Cartridge at 5.5" and then I cut another one out of purple at 5.25" to layer on top of the white. I ran my purple layer through my cuttlebug with the swiss dots embossing folder. My frame was cut out of the Lacy Labels Cricut Lite cartridge at 2.5". I then stamped my sentiment into the middle of the frame and popped the frame up with some foam adhesive.

This week, The Perfect Sentiment is lucky to have a great sponsor! Sarah from My Little Somethings is giving away a grab bag of various crafting items with a minimum value of $15!

The Perfect Sentiment Challenge #2 (PSC02)

Happy Wednesday! Are you guys ready for another great challenge from The Perfect Sentiment? This week is all about making a Friendship card. There is a twist though. The twist is that you have to use the following color palette in the photo below as your inspiration:

Here is the card that I made:

For my card, I made my card base out of Kraft card stock and then layered it with some gorgeous papers from the Blossom Song Stack by DCWV and added a white border strip along the bottom. I then attached some ribbon and a bow. For my sentiment, I used my labels 4 nestabilities and then stamped it with a sentiment from kaisercraft. I added a little heart and a few pearls for some interest. I am really pleased with how my card came out.

This week The Perfect Sentiment Challenge Blog is very lucky to have a great sponsor! Heart Song Designs has agreed to give one random winner a free digi image from their store! How cool! They have some really great digi's over there. The Perfect Sentiment Challenge #1 (PSC01)

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are all doing well. I am so happy to announce that today marks the launch of The Perfect Sentiment challenge blog! Do you ever tend to make mainly birthday cards? Thinking of you cards? I know I do, that's why I love the Perfect Sentiment challenge blog. Every week you will be given a theme to make a card for. That way you can build up your supply and always have the perfect card on hand, whatever the occasion. This week is about sympathy cards. The challenge is to make a sympathy card and to use lace on your card.

Here is what I created:

Sympathy cards are so hard for me to make. I think it's because no one ever wants to think about making one. For my card, I used a digi image from Glitterbabe and framed it with some lace. I added some ribbon to my card base and then popped my frame up with some foam adhesive. I added some glossy accents after I colored just to give it a little shine and added some pearls in each corner. I wanted to keep my card fairly simple, yet elegant.

This week The Perfect Sentiment challenge blog, is very lucky to have a great sponsor! Stef from Glitterbabe Digi's is sponsoring the challenge and will be giving away a $10 gift card to her store for one lucky winner! Pretty cool huh? So, make sure you head over to The Perfect Sentiment Challenge Blog to enter the challenge! You have until Sunday Oct. 9, 2011 (10pm EST) to link up your creation. I look forward to seeing what you create. :)
