Let's Hear it for the Graduates!!

Hi everyone and happy happy Monday!
Today starts a new challenge over at the Bitten By The Bug 2 Challenge Blog!
The theme for this challenge is...

Graduation!

Here is a look at the card that I created:

I saw this in card in Design Space when I searched for graduation and it instantly brought a smile to my face!! This was so super easy! I cut out my card from the Graduation Quick Cut Cards, added some black and glitter Nuvo drops and tied some coordinating twine to the side and Voila! Easy peasy! I created this card in my local High School's colors. I don't know anyone that is graduating this year but this could easily be modified by simply replacing the twine and cutting out a different insert (the orange piece) if the need arises for me to give it to someone with different school colors. Gotta love that!

The file even included a matching envelope :)

FCCB #302: Graduation

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #302-Graduation
Make a project about any kind of Graduation!

This Weeks Sponsor

Dreaming Tree SVG's

The winner will receive a $20 Gift Certificate!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

Here is my project-

My daughter needed a card for her boyfriend's sister who will be graduating in just a couple of weeks so this challenge was perfect timing for me! I opened up Cricut Design Space and created a rectangle in the size I wanted for my top panel. I used the Roly Poly font on the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge and arranged my 2017 across the front. I loaded up my mat and let the Cricut do it's thing lol! Once the 2017 was cut out, I stamped the "Class of", drew some lines, added my ribbon and some acetate to the back. I applied foam tape all around the perimeter and added some gold star confetti as well as some gold and burgundy micro beads. I added a white piece of cardstock to the back to hold everything in and also make the 2017 stand out more.I added my shaker piece onto my cardbase and tied a little bow. I thought it still needed something so I went back to the cricut and cut out a grad cap from the Wrap It Up cartridge and added it to my card front. I added a few stars to the front of my card and voila! Done! lol! I hope she likes it :)

I will also be entering this card into the graduation challenge going on over at
Die Cuttin' Diva's (#318)
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my latest creation!

Graduation Gift Bag

Happy Thursday!!

Today I have a little gift bag to show you that would be perfect to give a little
present to a graduate in.

I used the gift bag punch board from We R Memory Keepers to make my bag. I then used that sweet little girl from the KaDoodle Bug collection called Graduation Day. I used a sentiment from Scrappy Moms Stamps to go along the bottom and finished it off with some sequins. Super cute and was so simple to put together. I think this would even be great for some party goody bags for your guests at a graduation party.

I made this for the following challenges:

Scrappy Moms Stamps April Release Project 3

Happy Thursday!!

Today I am back with another project that uses one of the brand new sets being released this month from Scrappy Moms Stamps!

Since graduation season is upon us, I thought it would be fun to put together a cute little box that would make a fun little gift.

I found this cute little box from My Scrap Chick and knew it would be perfect for what I wanted to achieve. The Way To Go on the diploma's ribbon is from the new set titled, More Mini Messages. This new stamp set is so versatile and has so many great greetings that are perfect for alot of different types of projects.

Inside the box, I added some filler along with some candy and of course some cash for the graduate. Here is a look at the inside:

One last look at both of the new stamp sets that were released this month.

Graduation Time!!!

Happy Sunday!
I hope your weekend has been great so far!!
Today I get to show you a fun little card that features some of that gorgeous

I decided to make a center step card with lots of sparkle to give to my daughter for her graduation!
I used my cameo to cut out the card base. I stamped my sentiment using a My Creative Time stamp and added that fun grad cap, also from My Creative Time. I added a few pieces of star confetti randomly onto my card. Of course, the red bow made with the Christmas Candy Simply Sheer
was the perfect finishing touch!

Today is my last post as a Creative Team member for LoveBug Creations.
I would like to take a minute to thank Kimi and Mama Lovebug for allowing me to be a part of this team.
I have enjoyed getting to know you both as well as all the wonderful ladies on the team!

MCT-Scrapping The Little Things

Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!!

Today at the My Creative Time blog, it is Scrapping The Little Things.
This is the day that we create a scrapbook page, smash book page or a project life page.

My daughter is graduating is just a few weeks, so I decided to make a little layout for some of the many pictures that I am sure to be taking that day :)

I based my layout on a sketch found at Sketch Support. You can see the sketch HERE.

I am normally a 12x12 double page scrapbooker, but for this layout I decided to change it up a little bit. I made a 8 x 10 layout. I made it this size so that I could put it into a shadow box and display it. Her school colors are red, white and blue and her gown is black so I stayed with those colors. I kept it pretty simple since the pictures haven't been taken yet. Once the pictures are adhered, I may embellish it just a little more. Honestly, I'm kinda liking the simplicity of it so I may just keep it as is. The banner hanging across the top of my layout came from the Stitched Party Dies. I used the Lowercase Fun Dies for my title and then stamped a grad hat from the Here's Looking At You set and just fussy cut it out and adhered it to the "G".  Isn't that flower cute?? It is from one of Emma's newest dies called Stitched Pretty Flowers & Leaves Dies. My white scallop was made using one of the edges from the Fun Stitched Edges die.  For my little hanging banners at the bottom, I used the banner die from the Vintage Stitched Label Dies. I added a little faux stitching with a black sharpie and doodled just a little bit on the title with a white gel pen. I also added some bling to the scallop, the flower center and the banner at the top. I am so behind on my scrapbooking, but at least I already have a current layout ready to go once the pics are taken and printed :)

Thanks so much for stopping my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!
I appreciate it so much!!

MCT: Inspiration Wednesday

Happy Wednesday crafty friends!

It is Inspiration Wednesday over at the My Creative Time blog!
This is the day where we create a project based on something that has inspired us.
For the card that I made today, I was inspired by two things.
1. My daughter's upcoming college graduation
&
2. The many fabulous shaker cards that my wonderful DT sisters always make.

This is my first shaker card and I had so much fun making it!
I decided to make my shaker window by using the Stitched "Capture" Frame with Arrow Die Set. Before I added the acetate, foam adhesive and sequins, I stamped the Class of 2014 from the Follow Your Dreams stamp set. After my shaker was attached to my card base, I popped up a Graduation Cap from the Here's Lookin' At You set. Like I said, I had so much fun making this and I will definitely be making more of these in my future.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my latest creation!

Use It Tuesday #56---Anything Goes

Happy Tuesday!
Are you guys ready for another great challenge from

Challenge #56--Anything Goes!

I decided to make a graduation card for my Niece.
Her school colors are Black and Burgundy so that is what I went with for my card.

For my hoarded supplies I used:
  1. Black Brad: I went through a phase where I bought brads all the time. The good thing about that is I am fully stocked now lol! I haven't bought brads in at least 3 years, so the one I used is at least that old, if not older.
  2. DMC floss is over 10 years old. I use to be an avid cross stitcher so I have piles of DMC Floss that never get used anymore. Yep, cross stitching kinda got put on the back burner once I discovered paper crafting lol!

Here is the inside:
I made a little flat card that slides in the pocket so that we can write her a message

And here is one more picture showing the flat card and the money in the pocket:

I got my card base for this cute little card from the Silhouette Store.
It is called Lori Whitlock Graduation Card with Pocket.
Design ID #41562

I hope you will stop by the Use It Tuesday blog and join in on the challenge!

Let's see you use up some of those hoarded products :)
While you are there, don't forget to look at the amazing creations my wonderful DT sisters came up with.

Graduation Layout

If you are here for the Felicity's Be A Blessing Blog Hop, please click HERE

Happy Saturday!!
Today the Dr. Phil Scraps is having an online crop!
I hope you guys are having a great time cropping with us today
and getting a lot of projects knocked out.

I have a confession to make, I have really been slacking on my scrapbook layouts.
My son graduated from high school last year and I have yet to scrapbook any layouts of that special day.
I am so happy that Phil decided to do this crop cause it really got me thinking about that and I was able to put together this Graduation layout.

I kept it pretty simple since I want the pictures of the happy day to be the main focus of my layout.
I cut my "GRAD" as well as the "2012" out of the Varsity Letter Cricut Lite Cartridge at 1.75"each.
The "Class of" was cut from the Wild Card Cricut Cartridge at 1.75" real dial size.

My little grad cap and diploma were some left over stickers from another project awhile back.

For my little banner strips, I simply cut out a piece of cardstock and hand cut the notch in the ends.
Before I adhered it down to my layout, I stamped little graduation caps on it from the
stamp set titled KUDOS, which can be found in the Cricut Artriste Collection (Z1790).

My silver scallop border along the bottom was made by simply punching out 1" circles from the gorgeous silver card stock in the Black & Grey Glitter Paper (Z1829) and adhering them on the backside of my white layer.

Thanks so much for cropping with us today!
If you are just now joining in on the fun, be sure to check out Dr. Phil's FB fan page for all the details.

I hope you have a fabulous crafty day!

Happy Graduation!

Happy Friday!
Today I get to show you a fun little project using those fabulous Joy's Life Stamps!
This week the design team is showcasing projects that center around graduation. My "baby" is graduating from high school this year so this project was bittersweet for me. I'm so proud of him but I also wish I could turn back the clock and make him little again.

I decided to make a banner for his graduation party.

I cut all my banner pieces out of the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge at 5.5" each.
The font came from the Pooh Font Set Cricut cartridge. I cut each letter with it's shadow at 3.5"

On each of the ends, I decided to put little grad caps on action wobbles
The caps came from the Locker Talk Cricut cartridge and were cut out at 2.5".

For the middle, I just used some dimensional fabric stickers from Jolee's Boutique

Underneath each of the grad caps on each end, I stamped the sentiment "Happy Graduation" from the Everyday Occasion stamp set from Joy's Life

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and looking at my latest creation! I really appreciate it! Don't forget to stop by the Joy's Life Design Team blog for some great inspiration for all your graduation projects!

Happy Graduation using Joy's Life Stamps

Happy Monday!
Today I would like to share a card with you that was made
with the awesome Joy's Life stamps.
This week the designers are showcasing the Holiday and/or Everyday Occasions
stamps. I decided to use the Everyday Occasions stamp set to get a jump
on some graduation cards. My son will be graduating high school this year
and I will be needing some cards for some of his classmates.
This is what I created:

and the sentiment:

I know it looks a bit like Halloween but those are their school colors haha! I cut my graduation cap out of the Locker Talk Cricut cartridge at 2.25" and put it on an action wobble to give it some movement. My sentiment came from the Everyday Occasions stamp set from Joy's Life. There are so many possibilities with this set. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation! I really appreciate it! Don't forget to stop by the Joy's Life DT page to see more inspiration. I hope you have a great crafty day!

Tacky Tuesday Challenge #11

Happy Tuesday! You ready for another awesome challenge this month from Tacky Tuesday? The cut for this month is an "OWL" and you must use the word "Hoo" somewhere in your sentiment. Here is what I created:

I used the embossed gift card holder from My Creative Time and made a little gift card holder for a graduation gift. My owl was cut from the Just Because Cards cricut cartridge at 6". I added a little grad cap to him from some Reminisce stickers. My "Hoo-Ray" alphas are from Echo Park. This was such an easy gift card to put together and I think that little owl is too cute!

Ruthie is giving away a super cute Peachy Keen stamp set to this month's winner. All you have to do is make a card with an Owl die cut and the word Hoo and upload it to the Tacky Tuesday's Facebook page by October 17 for your chance to win. I can't wait to see what you create! I hope you have a great crafty day!

Cooking With Cricut Everyday In May

Happy Saturday! I hope everyone is having a great weekend and has a safe and fun Memorial Day!

Today's project was made for the Cooking With Cricut Everday In May! My neighbor's daughter is graduating from high school next month and she asked me if I could make a banner for her. Her school colors are red, blue and gold. I had so much fun making this and she loved it!

Here is a picture of the whole banner:

A close up of the end details:

The middle:

And last but not least, details of the embossing and the letters popped up:

The banner pieces were cut from Twinkle Toes at 6". The letters were cut from Pooh Font at 3". The graduation hats were cut out of Wrap It Up at 1.5". The "Class Of" was cut from Wild Card at 8" and the "2011" was cut from Lyrical Letters at 1.5".

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my latest creation! I really appreciate it! Don't forget to check out Cooking With Cricut daily to see more inspiration and to enter the weekly challenge this week. Have a great crafty day!
