Happy Birthday Card using Stencils

 Hi friends!

I hope are having a fabulous day!

Today starts a new challenge over at the

Here is a look at the card that I created:

This card looks like it took a lot of work but it was so ridiculously easy to make! I started by creating my floral focal point. I used a layering stencil from The Ton, picked some ink colors that I thought would pair well together and started building my flowers. Once I had the florals created, I cut them out using a stitched rectangle die, adhered them to a piece of blue cardstock that I had cut out using a scallop rectangle die and popped it up onto a white A2 cardbase. I stamped my sentiment, cut it out with a fishtail die and popped it up onto my card with more foam tape. I completed my card by adding just a few sequins and some Nuvo drops. I told ya it was simple! haha! Simple but oh so pretty!!

I hope you will stop by the Addicted To Stamps & More challenge blog to see the fabulous cards the team made as well as joining us and playing along! I would love to see what you create!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and taking a look at our latest creation!

Sketch N Scrap #141

Hey crafty friends!!
Happy Wednesday!
Today starts a new sketch challenge over at

Just in case you don't already know, Sketch N Scrap is a sketch challenge blog that offers layout and card sketches each month! Layout sketches are posted on the 1st and 15th of each month and card sketches are posted on the 5th and 20th of each month.

Here is a look at the second layout sketch of the month provided to us by Heather:

here is my take on the above sketch:

This layout was really fun to work on. My daughter and I have very similar taste in music and love a lot of the same bands, so when Panic! At The Disco was coming, we knew we had to not only go but meet the guys. The first two pics are of us before the Meet n Greet started and then the bottom photo is a pic of my daughter with the band. I made this for her layout display in her room so I will probably make another layout of me with the band for mine. I have to say, they are some of the funnest & nicest guys and we really had a great time, not only meeting them but at the concert later that evening, they put on an amazing show!! This layout was a little messier than I'm used to but I enjoyed actually using some of the mists that I have been collecting over the years for the splatters  lol!! I also typed up the setlist, trimmed it up and distressed it a bit before adding it to the pocket. The tickets are an older stamp and punch set from SU!. I cut out the title using my Cricut and the arrow embellishment is a combination of some stamps from MFT and MCT. I finished off the layout with some doodling and a few Nuvo drops.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and take a look at my latest creation!
I appreciate it so much!

Sketch N Scrap #135

Hey crafty friends!!
Happy Tuesday!!
Today I am back with another sketch reveal from Sketch N Scrap.
Just in case you don't already know, Sketch N Scrap is a sketch challenge blog that offers Layout and Card sketches each month! Layout sketches are posted on the 1st and 15th of each month and card sketches are posted on the 5th and 20th of each month.

Here is a look at the 2nd layout sketch for August provided to us by Heather,
Layout Sketch #135:

Fabulous sketch right?? Here is the layout I created based on the above sketch:

At first I wasn't quite sure which photos I was going to use for the sketch and then when I saw these photos on my daughter's FB, I knew! She gave me the go ahead so I snagged them up lol! There isn't a lot of colors in the photos so I pretty much had my pic of papers in my stash. I really wanted to focus on them though. He is a yellow lab with green eyes and a brown nose and she is a girly girl. When I came across this floral paper, it was perfect! It incorporated the yellow, green and brown as well as the girly. Does that make sense or am I just crazy? lol The paper was from a stack so all the other papers coordinated perfectly! I used punches for the photo corner pieces, flowers and leaves. The scallop came from the Cricut as well as the font used for my title.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and take a look at my latest creation!
I appreciate it so much!

Seas & Greetings!

Hi crafty friends!
I hope you are having a fabulous Saturday!
Today I am back to share a card that I created using some fabulous stamps and dies that can be found in the
 Dies R Us Store

I love interactive cards and was so super excited to give the

I started out by cutting out all my panels in some fun patterned papers and a coordinating solid:

I then figured out which patterned papers I wanted to use and placed then onto my solid cardstock and adhered my panels together.

Now came the fun part! I cut out some fun nautical pieces from the Nautical die set from Cutter Bee and some scallops from the Accordion Circle Card set  and started decorating my panels.

Here is what my finished card looks like:

I stamped my greeting onto a banner from the Banners die set from Cutter Bee and finished off my card with a couple of sequins and some paper buttons. I think it came out so cute and it was really simple to put together. I love all things nautical!

Here is a view from the top:

Here is a quick peek (with links) to the products that I used on my card today that can be found in the Dies R Us store:

Christmas Card Challenges #11

Hello crafty friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday :)
Today marks the beginning of another challenge at
Christmas Card Challenges!!

Here is a look at the card that I created based on the above colors:

I created a card base out of some dark blue cardstock and layered some striped patterned paper on top. I used a rectangle die to cut out my white panel and then I matted that onto some more dark blue cardstock. I die cut the ornament from some patterned paper making sure the snowflake was in the center of my ornament die. I added a little bit of bling to the ornament and attached it to my card. I stamped my greeting onto some dark blue cardstock and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. I finished off the card with a little bling in each corner.

Be sure to head over to the Christmas Card Challenges blog to see the amazing cards my design team sisters created. I hope you are inspired and decide to join us and play along with the challenge. I would love to see what you create :)

Hello

Hey crafty friends!
I hope you all had a fabulous Easter!
We had a nice family dinner with lots of yummy food and laughter.
I was able to put a card together last night for a few challenges.
They are:
and

Here is a look at the card I created for the above challenges:

This card was so super simple to make! I made my card base from some Kraft cardstock and picked out some scrap pieces of patterned paper for everything else. I notched out the ends of the banner pieces and layered them together making sure to overlap just a little. I added some faux stitching all around my card base and the banner pieces with my white gel pen. I pulled out my neglected Pansy flower punch and punched out 2 flowers, layered them on top of each other and curled the ends up for a little dimension. I added some leaves from another neglected punch and attached the flower piece to my card. I finished off the flower with a button center and a crochet thread bow. For my greeting, I die cut the "hello" and placed it along the bottom. Like I said, so simple but I'm really liking it!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog and take a look at my latest creation!

Pink and Main Feb. Challenge

Hey crafty friends!!
Happy February!!
Can you believe it is already February??? Man!!
The good thing about it being the first of the month is that it is the start of a new challenge over at the Pink & Main Challenge Blog!! Yay!!

BlogButton

The theme for the February challenge is:
💖Love 💖
Simply make a project that follows the theme, post it to your blog and enter by adding it to the inlinkz at the Pink & Main Challenge Blog

Here is the card that I created for the challenge:

I used the Stitched Rounded Rectangles to cut my patterned paper, added some ribbon to the corners and attached to my card base. I then cut a piece of pink cardstock out using the Stitched Rounded Rectangles and added that on top of my patterned paper. I used the "love" from the Love Dies set and cut it out from some black chalk board type of paper. I placed that in the center and added my other elements framing it.  The little envelope is from the Happy Mail stamp set. I simply fussy cut it out and popped it up with some foam tape. I thought it would be cute to have the envelope busting with "love" so I added a bunch of little hearts to try and mimic that. I stamped the "sending" from the Hugs Needed stamp set, cut the end at an angle and popped it up with more foam tape. To finish off my card, I used some clear Wink Of Stella and added some shimmer to all the little hearts coming from the envelope.

I hope you will create a project and join us for the challenge!
I would love to see what you create!
Don't forget, you do not have to use Pink & Main products on your project :)

Shopping Our Stash #275

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week challenge #275 is....
Three Trees
(use at least 3 trees on your project)

Here is the card I created:

I started off by adhering some ribbon to my pattern paper and attaching it to my card base. I stamped my trees from a Stampin' Up stamp in brown ink and added some dazzling diamonds glitter to the snow banks and tree branches. There is so much sparkle on my card, this picture really doesn't capture it at all :( I finished it off with a bow and a greeting in the corner.

Neglected items from my stash that I used are:
--Lovely As A Tree Stamp set from Stampin' Up! (bought it used from a friend almost a year ago and used it for the first time on this card)
--Teeny Tag Holidays Stamp set (At least a year since I used it)
--Walnut Stain Distress Ink (can't remember ever using it before)

Tis the season....

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week challenge #267 is....
(try out a technique that is new to you)

Here is the project that I created for this challenge:

I saw a video from May Made Made It on YouTube where she was making a wreath card using the Spirelli technique and I thought it looked so cool that I couldn't wait to give it a try. You can see the video by clicking HERE. I thought her card was so pretty but I really wanted to make my wreath green so I used some green cardstock and some green DMC Floss to make my Spirelli Wreath. I thought it would be cute to hang my wreath on a door so I cut out some cardstock rectangles/squares to try and recreate a door and door panels. Not perfect but I think the door turned out pretty cute lol! I attached my wreath and then cut out a bow using some red fun foam. I love using foam on bows cause they don't "smoosh" as easily in the mail. They seem to have a little give and bounce back a little. I colored some bling with a yellow marker to act as the ornaments/lights, adhered a brad for the knob and attached my greeting along the bottom of the door. The inside reads....."to be jolly! Merry Christmas!". I think it came out really cute and the wreath was so easy to make! I will definitely be making more of these :)

Items from my stash that I used that have not been used in a while are:

--Spellbinders Scallop Circle Dies (at least 6 months, probably longer)--
--Brad (over 6 years)--
--Bitty Banner Framelits (over 2 years)--
--Peachy Keen Greeting Stamp (over a year)--

Shopping Our Stash #262: A Stitch In Time

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week, challenge #262 is....
A Stitch In Time
(use stitching on your project. Sewing machine, Faux Stitching, etc.)

Here is the project that I created for this challenge:

Last month, my hubby bought me a cute little pink sewing machine. It's the perfect size for papercrafting and I was excited to actually pull it out and use it for this project. I used a straight stitch and tried to sew a straight line all around my wood patterned paper. I cut a two inch strip of polka dot paper and proceeded to try and sew a straight line around that also. Sewing straight is definitely not my thing, as you can see lol! Oh well, gives it character right? ;) I added some little scallop borders along the edges of the polka dot paper. I have had this patterned paper for about a year and a half now. I almost have the paper pad gone, so I'm feeling pretty excited about that. Once I had my papers picked out for my project, I knew which stamp I was going to use for image. I have had these faceless chickens and chickie face asst. stamps in my stash for quite a while now and can not remember when the last time I used them was. I tried to find out by looking at older blog posts but couldn't find any. I'm pretty sure it has been at least a year, probably longer since the last time I used them. After I had my image stamped and colored, I used a stitched oval die to cut it out and pop it up onto my card front with some foam tape. I used some older SU! punches for my greeting, also popped up with foam tape.

Be sure to head over to the Shopping Our Stash Challenge Blog to see what my design team sisters created. I hope you will decide to make a project and join us, I would love to see what you create!

Shopping Our Stash #260: Inspired by your bedding

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week, challenge #260 is....
Get inspired by your bedding!
(create a project based on something that inspires you from your bedding. It could be a pattern, colors, the number of pillows you have, maybe even the bedding you have been eyeing at the store.)

For my card, I went with the colors of my bedding. My bedding is a soft cream and taupe with some darker brown stitching here and there.

Here is a quick peek at my actual bedding (taken with my phone's camera, not the best picture but you get the idea lol)

Here is the card that I created based on my bedding:

I used a soft brown cardstock for my card base. I'm not sure what color it is, maybe Crumb Cake, but I pulled it from an older variety pack from SU! that I have had for about two years. I used a piece of vellum that has some stripes in it, I thought that went well with the stripes in the back pillows. For my image layer, I used an stamp from SU that I have had for awhile and stamped it with some brown ink. I added a bit of wink of stella to it for some shimmer and some tiny pearls to the center of three of the flowers. I added my greeting and a bit of ribbon to finish off my card. The only thing I used that is less than a month old for me was the vellum. Everything else I have had in my stash for at least 6 months.

Be sure to head over to the Shopping Our Stash Challenge Blog to see what my design team sisters created. I hope you will decide to make a project and join us, I would love to see what you create!

Gift Card and Candy Thank You Gift

Happy Friday!
Today I am back with another project that showcases some awesome stamps and dies from

BlogButton

I decided to make a 3D project today based off of a tutorial by
Dawn Griffith that can be found HERE.
I used the Hello Sweet & Florals stamp sets along with the Sweet Dies.

I followed the tutorial to make my box. I stamped flowers and leaves from the Florals set around the border of my image panel, making sure to go off of the edge for interest. I stamped the "You're So" from the Hello Sweet stamp set and then used the Sweet Die and added some white highlights with a gel pen. I finished it off with a seam binding bow. I think this makes such a sweet little Thank You gift!

Here is a look with the gift card out:

Sheer and Clear Class Day 1

Hey guys! I hope you are having a fabulous Wednesday!
Tonight I have a card that I would like to share with you that I made for my homework for Day 1 of the Sheer and Clear Online Card Class.

I absolutely fell in love with the example that was shown to us by Debby Hughes. Her card was so pretty and elegant and I immediately knew if I could create something similar, it would make the perfect card for my mom for Mother's Day.

Here is what I created:

I kept my card really close to Debby Hughes' card. I love how she attached the vellum with a mini clothes pin. For my card, I used some water color cardstock and put some color down and then misted it with some gold shimmer spray. I then die cut the "mom".  I heat embossed my circle and the "love you" with some white embossing powder and then placed the "mom" underneath. I used a punch to cut out my leaves and then attached everything with the clothes pin, I finished my card with some sequins, some butterflies and some crochet thread. I love how my card turned out!
A big thanks to Debby for the inspiration!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!

I hope you have a great crafty day!

Feb. DCWV Stack-a-Holic Challenge

Happy Saturday!!

Today I have a real quick post to share with you a card that I created for the

Here is the sketch for the Feb. challenge:
(Sketch courtesy of www.just-add-ink.blogspot.com)

Here is the card that I created based on the above sketch:

Awhile back, I made a mini album using the Mariposa Stack from DCWV. I absolutely love all the pretty prints in the Mariposa stack and I held onto all the scraps that I had left over from creating my mini. This sketch was the perfect opportunity to use up some of those. For my large butterfly, I fussy cut it out of one of the patterns and for the smaller butterfly, I used a punch.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!
I hope you have a great crafty day!
