FCCB #294: Valentine's Day!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!
I'm pretty excited! This is my first project as a DT member for the FCCB team!! Yay!!

Challenge #294-Valentines Day
Make a project about Valentines Day.

This Weeks Sponsor

Image of The Valentine Bundle

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

Here is my project-

This little box was so super easy to make! I cut my box out from the Spring Holiday Cards Cartridge, assembled it and then cut a 1" strip from patterned paper and wrapped it around my box. I cut the Scallop Doily from the Elegant Edges cartridge, added a circle to the center and popped it up with foam tape to the front of the box. That cute little Valentine Cupid Teddy Bear came from the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge. After I had him all assembled, I also used some foam tape to pop him up onto the front of the doily. I finished off my box with some pearls in the bottom corner and a white satin bow at the top. The inside is filled with 3 fun size packs of candy.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!

Be sure to stop by the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to see the projects that my design team sisters created! I hope you will power up that Cricut and make a Valentine project for the challenge! I would love to see what you create!

Terrific Tuesday Challenge---Pink & Yellow

Happy Tuesday!

Are you all ready for a new Terrific Tuesday Challenge over at the Scrappy Moms blog?

Photobucket

The theme for this Terrific Tuesday Challenge is....
Color Challenge---Use Pink & Yellow

I thought that color combo was perfect for a Spring type of card so I decided to make a Easter card.

I thought this little SVG from KaDoodle Bug was so cute that I just had to use it for my card. I made a square card and cut out the scallop square layer from the Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge. I popped it up onto the front of my card with some foam adhesive so that I didn't end up with a "bump" underneath from the ribbon placement. Isn't that greeting cute? It is from the For Peep's Sake set by Scrappy Moms. I decided to add some liquid applique to the bunny tail and then using my heat gun so that it would puff up and give the appearance of cotton to coordinate with my greeting.

Here is a look at the entire For Peep's Sake set:

Cute huh? I love this set!

I hope you will stop by the Scrappy Moms Blog to see the fabulous creations my wonderful Design Team sisters created for this challenge as well as entering the challenge yourself!

Bitten By The Bug 2--Shaped Card

Happy Monday!!

Today is my very first post as a DT member for Bitten By The Bug 2!!
I'm so excited to be a part of the team!

This week's challenge is Shaped Cards!

Here is what I made for the challenge:

For my card, I wanted to use this scalloped oval from the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge to create my card base. I welded two of the shadows together and then cut out one more shadow and placed onto the front to hide the fold of the card. I then layered my scallop oval pieces onto the front. That cute little lamb is from the Create A Critter cartridge (one of my all time favorites!). I added a sweet little face to her using some Peachy Keen stamps and some chalk to her cheeks as well as some cute little twine bows in her hair. I added a bow to the top of my card using some dies from My Creative Time and that fun little sentiment from Scrappy Moms. I finished off my card by adding some pearls along the perimeter of the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!

Sympathy Card

Happy Friday!

Tonight I have a card to share with you that I made for the challenge over at

Sympathy cards are so hard to make. I have none in my stash so even though this was a tough challenge, at least I now have one just in case. As pretty as this card is, I really hope it just kinda collects dust and never has to be used. To create my card, I cut out my flower from the Spring Cottage Cricut cartridge and placed it inside a frame that I cut out from the Elegant Edges cartridge. My flower was cut out in all white and then I just inked the leaves and stem with green ink, making it lighter and darker in certain areas to give a bit more dimension. I also added a bit of sparkle to my flower by added some shine from my Wink Of Stella Clear glitter brush pen. On my pink layer, I heat embossed the sentiment as well as the edges with silver embossing powder.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation.
I really appreciate it!

I hope you have a great crafty day!

Scrappy Moms January Stamp Release Project 2

Happy Sunday!

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend so far.

Today I have another card to show you that features one of the new sets from

For my card, I used those cute little birds from the Sweethearts cricut cartridge and layered them on top of some layers that I cut out from the Elegant Edges cricut cartridge. I picked a greeting from the new stamp set titled, For The Birds from Scrappy Moms Stamps. I thought it paired perfectly with that sweet little image.

Here is a look at the For The Birds stamp set:

For my Craft It Up & Link It Up Project post, please click HERE

Hi there!
Happy Monday!!!
Today I get to show you another project that uses that awesome
Rumple Ribbon from Lovebug Creations.

When the weather gets cold, I turn to my other favorite pastime (besides papercrafting) and that is reading. I love to read and if I am not at my desk crafting, you can find me buried in a book.

I decided to make myself another bookmark.

For my bookmark, I simply used a tag and inked all the edges. I then used a stencil to put a few little hearts in opposite corners. My red scallop oval came from the cricut cartridge, Elegant Edges. The heart was punched out using a heart punch and a piece of scrap patterned paper. I then stamped the word READ onto a little banner and layered that onto the heart.

For my project, I used some Hallo-Mesh

I love the texture of the Mama's Mesh!

Don't forget to stop by the Lovebug Creations Blog to see the gorgeous creations my wonderful
 Creative Team Sisters did :)

If you just happened to stumble across the hop on my blog today and would like to start at the beginning, just hop on over and see Joy @ Joy's Life.

I decided to make a cute little acorn box and a coordinating card.

For my acorn, I used my silhouette. After it was cut out and assembled, I decorated it by tying a
tulle bow. Inside the acorn, I put some peanuts in a little ziploc bag.

For my card, I used my cricut. I cut my squirrel out of the Create A Critter cartridge. She was cut out at 2.75". I layered her onto a frame that I cut out using Elegant Edges. My frame was cut out at 3.5". The frame is popped up with some foam adhesive so that it lays over the tulle perfectly.

For my sentiment, I used the It's All Fall Puns stamp set:

There are so many fabulous greetings on the It's All Fall Puns stamp set!

Die Cuttin Diva Guest Designer!

Happy Tuesday!!
I am so excited! I was asked to be a guest designer for

This week's challenge also just happens to be a sketch challenge, I love those!!

Here is the fabulous sketch:

Here is the card that I created based on the above sketch:

As you can see, I decided to flip the sketch for my card.
That pretty patterned paper is from the Summer Fresh 6x6 pad by Simple Stories. After I had my white layer and patterned paper adhered onto my card base, I cut my Hello Kitty image out of the Hello Kitty Greetings Cricut Cartridge at 2.5". I then adhered her to a mat that I cut out of the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge at 3.5". My mat was then popped up on my card with some foam adhesive. I added a few pearls in the bottom left and top right corners as well as one for both flower centers.

I hope you guys will head over to Die Cuttin' Diva's and join in on the challenge!
That sketch was super fun!

Hats & Sentiment Stamps

Happy Monday!

Pause Dream Enjoy (PDE) Ch#4 Use a HAT
Paper Playtime (PPT) Ch#4 Use a Sentiment Stamp
Begins: Monday, Feb 18
Ends: Sunday, Mar 3
Winner announced in the WINNERS Page Tab at Paper Playtime and Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges.

Here is my project incorporating both challenges:

For the Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge #4--Use a Hat,
I used my Forever Young Cricut Cartridge and cut out this super cute hat and all it's layers at 1.5".
The mat that the hat is sitting on was cut out of the Elegant Edges cricut cartridge at 3.75".
Both the mat and the hat were popped up with some foam adhesive to give it some dimension.

For the Paper Playtime Challenge #4--Use a Sentiment Stamp,
I used a stamp from Joy's Life from the set titled Sweet Popsicle Puns.
I thought the "Hello Friend" made this card a super cute just because card.
I punched out my sentiment using the word window punch from SU! and layered that on top of a punch from the modern label punch also by SU!

You Mocha Me Happy

Hi Everyone!
Happy Thursday!
Only one more day until the weekend! Woot Woot!

Today I get to share another project with you that uses that awesome

I love this stuff!
It is so versatile and light weight, yet gives your projects the perfect amount of dimension!

For my project, I decided to make a card to give to my hubby.

I cut my Frap drink out of the Love You A Latte Cricut Cartridge at 3".
The frame is from Elegant Edges and was cut out at 3.5"
For my frosting, I used some white enamel accents and while it was still wet, sprinkled some loose glitter on it.
I love how the CANDi gives my card that extra "pop"!

For my project, I used the Rainforest CANDi:

There are so many great patterns and colors in the CANDi line!
You should definitely check them out :)

Here's my project for this challenge:

For my project, I decided to make another Christmas card to add to the many that needs to be sent out this year. I still have a lot to go :)

I used Elegant Edges to make my mat for my blingy snowflake. I cut it out at 2.5".The snowflake is from Studio G and I purchased it after Christmas last year for 50 cents. Of course I grabbed all that they had left but unfortunately, that ended up only being 3 :(

I ran my white layer through my cuttlebug using the Snowflakes embossing folder.
Before I did that though, I punched along the bottom using my Daisy Scallop border punch.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!

Happy Holly Days

Happy Wednesday!

This week the Joy's Life Design Team has been showing you ways to create some tags using those awesome Joy's Life Stamps.

I have been trying to get a jump start on my Christmas tags for gifts so I was so happy to hear we were going to be doing this project.

Here are the tags that I made:

I cut my "tags"out of the Elegant Edges cricut cartridge at 3".
The holly was cut from the Winter Woodland cricut cartridge at 1.5".

I punched a hole at the top and threaded some twine through and then secured that with some more twine and a button.

Look at this cute sentiment from the Wintery Puns stamp set:

Thank Ewe card with Joy's Life Stamps

Happy Sunday!

 cool folds in our projects.

This is what I created:
