Be*You*Tiful!

Hi there!
I hope your weekend is off to a fabulous start!
Today I have a card to show you that I made using those fabulous CTMH products
for Dr. Phil Scraps!

For my card, I used some of those fabulous papers from the Chantilly Paper Packet (X7163B) and also some of that gorgeous Black & Grey Glitter Paper (Z1829).
I love the sparkle of that glitter paper!

The little flower came from the Happy Thoughts (C1536) set as well as that super cute banner sentiment!
After I stamped my flower, I ran it through my cuttlebug using a die from spellbinders for my scallop rectangle and layered it on top a glitter rectangle, also cut from the same die set.
I stamped my flower a second time using a different color ink and hand cut just the top out so I could  layer it on top of the green flower. Then I added a little Pink Glitter Gem (Z1807).
For the sentiment banner, I simply stamped it and then cut it out and popped it up with some foam adhesive.

Here is a close up of those great stamps, as well as the glitter paper and gem:

I cut my purse out of the Artiste Cricut Cartridge at 4.5"

The eggs were cut out of the Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge at 4".
I decorated one of the eggs and the tag with some of that new fun CANDi called

When you open the purse, some treats are waiting inside:
A chocolate bunny and some Jelly Beans! Yum!!

Use It Tuesday #52---All About Spring

Hi everyone!
Are you guys ready for spring??
The new challenge over at Use It Tuesday posted today and it is sure to get you in the Spring mood.

Use It Tuesday is a challenge blog dedicated to get you to use all of those hoarded supplies :)

Challenge #52 is all about Spring!
So let's see those spring related projects and don't forget to list your hoarded supplies that you used on your project.

Here is the card that I created for the challenge:

Springtime to me means pastel colors and hopping in my hubby's truck & going to the local nursery and picking out a bunch of beautiful flowers to plant in my yard. I love seeing all the different varieties! Sadly, I do not have a green thumb at all, so they typically don't last for too long in my yard with me taking care of them. I try ;)

Let me tell you about my hoarded supplies:
  • That truck is in a stamp set from SU! called Loads of Love. I got it 2 years ago and this is only the 2nd time it has ever been inked.
  • My sentiment came in a stamp set from My Creative Time called Small Talk. It has been in my stash for over 2 years and this is the first time inking it up.
  • My patterned paper is from Sizzix and is over 2 years old!
I hope you will head over to Use It Tuesday and join in on the challenge!
We would love to see what you create with your forgotten supplies!
While you are there, be sure to check out all the fabulous creations from my wonderful design team sisters :)

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation!

Home Sweet Home

Hi Everyone!
I hope your weekend is off to a great start!

Today I am here to show you another project using those awesome CTMH products for
Dr. Phil Scraps!

Have you guys seen the new 6x6 canvas display (Z1818)?
They are absolutely perfect to make a little home decor item for your home.

This is what I made:
(easel for photo purposes only and is not included)

I will be putting this in my entry way so it is seen as soon as we walk in the door.

It was really simple to make too!
All I did was cut out "Home Sweet Home"  from my Sophisticated Cricut Cartridge out at 4.75". To adhere it to the canvas, I simply brushed some tacky glue onto the back of my words using a foam brush and adhered.

Then I decided each corner needed a little something so I decided to make some rolled roses using the Artiste Cricut Cartridge (Z1790)

You can find the roses on page 54 (Accent 2) in the handbook.
My roses were cut from Ruby Cardstock (X5927) at 2.5", 2" & 1.5".  After they were rolled, I sprayed them with a little glimmer spray to give them a little sparkle. After they were dry, I adhered them to the canvas with some tacky glue.

In the opposite corner, I decided to use a punch and punch out some butterflies and use the
Sparkles Flourishes (Z1812) as their flight pattern.

I am so happy with how this turned out and it makes an excellent decor item for my home!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and taking a look at my creation!
I really appreciate it!

Don't forget to check out Dr. Phil Scraps for more inspiration!

Have a great crafty day!

I keep my card pretty simple and flat so that it is easier to mail.
My daughter loves all the images on the Create A Critter cartridge so I made this card with her in mind to send to her at college.
I cut my bee out of the Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge at 3.25" and popped him up with some foam adhesive onto a white scallop rectangle that was cut out using my spellbinders.
My black and white polka dot strip is actually some Smash Tape that I have had in my stash for quite awhile and never used. That adorable little sentiment is from the You're So Punny stamp set from Joy's Life Stamps
I finished it off with a little black and white polka dot bow.

Family Layout

Hi Everyone!
Happy Saturday!

Today I get to show you another project for Dr. Phil Scraps!
For my project today, I decided to do
a quick and simple layout using those awesome Chantilly papers from CTMH.

This layout will hold 2 pictures that measure 4x6 and 2 pictures that measure  3.25"x3.25".
Aren't those papers gorgeous?
For my layout I used some papers from the Chantilly Paper Packet (X7163B)
I cut out "FAMILY" using the preloaded cartridge on the Expression 2 called Cricut Alphabet.
Each letter was cut out at 1.25" and then popped up with some foam adhesive.
Since my title was popped up off of the page, I was able to tuck a chipboard flower from the
behind my "A". I also added a chipboard shaped sentiment on the left hand side of the layout.
I popped it up with some foam adhesive but I only added the adhesive to the bottom half of the chipboard element, that way a photo can still be adhered.

Here is a closeup:

Can you see the little gems on the chipboard as well as along the side of that layout on a few of the flowers?
Those are called Pink Glitter Gems (Z1807) and they are gorgeous!

Full Bloom

Hi everyone!
Happy Thursday!

Today I get to show you a project using that awesome CANDi.

I am running a little low on birthday cards, so I decided to make one to add to my collection that I have on hand.

For my card, I decided to use some Prima flowers and embellish the centers of them
with some CANDi.  I also added a little CANDi to the top right of my card.

Here is a close up so that you can see the CANDi better:

I love how the CANDi gives any project dimension without being bulky!
Plus they are so easy to use!

For my project I used the Rainforest CANDi:

There are so many great patterns and colors in the CANDi line,
you should definitely check them out.

Use It Tuesday #51---Dies, Punches & Cutouts

Hi Everyone!
Are you guys ready for another great challenge over at

Use It Tuesday is a challenge blog that encourages you to use all of those hoarded supplies.
You know, the stuff we buy and never use or forget about it??

For challenge #51, you are asked to use a die, punch or cutout on your project.

Here is the card that I created for the challenge:

I decided to make a fun little card that can be used for a "just because" card.
I love sending those types of cards cause they are never expected.

Let me tell you a little bit about my hoarded supplies:
  • See that cute little owl?? Well, she came from the Hoot 'n' Holler Cricut Lite cartridge. I got that cartridge about a year ago and I finally opened it and used it for the very first time on this card.

  • My patterned paper came from The Green Stack from DCWV. I have had that mat stack in my stash for over a year and this is only the 2nd sheet of paper taken from it.

I am so thankful for the Use It Tuesday challenge blog! I love being able to rediscover forgotten items that are in my stash.

I hope you will head over to Use It Tuesday and see all the wonderful projects that my talented DT sisters came up with. While you are there, you can read all about the challenge and enter your project!
We would love for you to join us and can't wait to see what you create!

Think Happy Thoughts!

Hi Everyone!
I hope your weekend is off to a fabulous start!
Today I get to show you another fun project for Dr. Phil Scraps
 using some awesome CTMH products!

Today I am going to show you this fun little container that I decorated.

This cute little container is called the My Creations Kraft Container (Z1833) and comes to you in a solid Kraft color, ready for you to decorate!
I decided to use some of the Chantilly papers (X7163B) to wrap around my canister as well as for the lid.
I then used a frame stamp from the Frame Flair (D1546) and stamped that onto some Colonial White cardstock (1388) using Ruby Ink (Z2170) and cut it out by hand. After it was all cut out, I stamped that wonderful sentiment from the Happy Thoughts stamp set (C1536).

I'm not quite sure what I will be storing in this just yet. I will be using this in my craft room so I am sure I will find something fun to use it for. Maybe ribbon scraps, homemade embellishments, flowers, etc. Tons of possibilites! Those beautiful papers and that happy sentiment is sure to brighten any room!

Here is a picture with the lid off so you can see the top a little better:

For my card, I decided to cut out that cute little rocket from the Boys Will Be Boys Cricut Cartridge.
My rocket was cut out at 3.25" and popped up using an action wobble to give it that little bit of added fun for the recipient, I also added some black diamond stickles to the rocket to give it some sparkle, but not too much since it is for a boy :)
I added some Red Royal Jewels from The Scrapbooking Queen to the opposite corners and also added some glossy accents to the yellow stars on the patterned paper.
The sentiment is from the "Simply Said"stamp set by Cardz TV Stamps.

I have a hard time with boy cards but I think this one is perfect for a little boy :)
