Hello There Watercolor Card

Hi everyone!
I hope you are all doing well and staying happy & healthy :)

Today I have a card to share with you that I made for my friend, Kimberly.
We actually challenged each other to make a card that incorporated watercoloring and then send them to each other. Watercoloring is definitely not in my comfort zone, but I gave it a go lol!
Here is a look at my card:

I started by heat embossing my image from Pink Fresh Studio with some gold embossing powder onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to fill in my image. Once it was dry, I used a die from MFT to cut it out, stamped my greeting and used a little bit of Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink to lightly go along the outside edges. I tied a bow with some crochet thread and popped it up with some foam tape onto a piece of polka dotted vellum. I attached everything to a bright pink cardbase and added a few sequins, drops of shimmer and Nuvo drops to complete my card!

I will be entering my card into the following challenges:

Sending You An Ocean of Love

Hi everyone!
I hope you are having a fabulous day and aren't too hot where you are. It is super hot in my area so in my craft room I will stay lol! I made a super cute card today for
Day 1 of the MFT Camp Create 2019 that actually started earlier this week.
Day 1 was all about Watercolor. Here is a look at what I created:

I mixed some Distress Oxide inks with some water to create my watercolors. I colored some watercolor cardstock with three different colors, getting lighter as I approached the top of the paper. The original plan was to have the entire front of the card be my watercolor panel, but I decided at the last minute to use a Zig Zag Stitched Circle Stax die to create more of a focal piece. Once I had my circle cut out, I added an ocean floor by using some kraft cardstock and the Stitched Basic Edges dies. I heat embossed my greeting along the bottom and added some little fish from the Friends with Fins stamp set and then popped up my circle with some foam tape to the front of my card base. I colored that adorable whale from the Friends with Fins set with my Copics and popped that up with more foam tape. I completed my little scene by adding some coral and sea weed from the Under The Sea dies and added a few Nuvo drops. I added a crochet bow the the top of my card and called it good!

I think this turned out so cute and I had a lot of fun playing with ink, water and paintbrushes today.

I will also be entering my card into the following challenge:

Happy Birthday Watercolor Card

Hi everyone!
I hope you are having a wonderful Thursday! We are getting some rainy weather here in my area so it's the perfect time to get a little crafting done and play along with a couple of challenges.

The challenges that I am playing along with are:

and

(I didn't do the optional theme)

Fun right? Here is a look at the card that I created for the above challenges:

I love this little elephant stamp from Wild Rose Studio that I got a year or so ago and thought she would be perfect to pull out and play with again. I stamped my image onto some Bristol Smooth cardstock and used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to do my water coloring! I need a bit more practice with the watercoloring but it was so fun! I need to do it more often! Anywho, Once I had my image colored, I used a Scallop Rectangle die from Jaded Blossom to cut it out. I added my sentiment with some Onyx Black Versafine ink and a stamp set from Jaded Blossom. I created my card base from some Razzle Berry cardstock from MFT and layered it with some fun bright patterned papers from Doodlebug. I popped up my image panel with some foam tape and added a little crochet thread bow to my little elephant to complete my card. So super simple but I think it turned out so completely adorable!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!
I hope you have a great crafty day!

Hey crafty friends!!
Happy happy Friday!! Today is day 5 of the Jaded Blossom February Release.
Thanks so much for stopping by all week!! Here is a quick recap of the projects I made this week:

and that brings us to today!
Today we are showcasing two stamp sets. They are Spring Origami and Flower Cluster.

I decided to make a card using that gorgeous Flower Cluster stamp set.

I embossed the stamp with some gold embossing powder and actually dragged out my Zig Clean Color Brush Pens and did a little bit of watercoloring lol!! I had so much fun too!! After I had everything colored up, I used the Card Mat Dies to cut it out and then I used some more gold embossing powder to heat emboss my sentiment from the So Many Birthdays 3 set. I popped up my panel onto some gold glitter cardstock and attached it all to my card base. I finished off my card with some honey gold Nuvo drops. I love how it turned out! So pretty!!

Here is a look at the stamps being showcased today:

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Here is a look at the card that I made for the challenge:

I used some distress inks as watercolors and colored up a background of blues, greens and purples. I then used the Stitched Journaling card die to cut out a piece. I love using those inks for watercoloring :) I stamped my greeting and used a banner from the Bannertastic set to frame it. I fussy cut it out and popped it up onto my image panel. I attached some ribbon to my card base and layered my image panel over it and finished off my card with a few random sequins. I think it came out so cute and i adore the soft feel of it!

Camp Create 2017 Day 1: Wonderful Watercolor

Hi everyone!
I'm back with a quick post to share the card that I created for
Day 1 of the MFT Camp Create.

Day 1 was all about watercolor. We were to create a project that incorporated watercolor in some way. I decided to make a little watercolor scene with my watercolors and to also watercolor my images. Since it is almost Summer, those cute penguins from the Penguins In Paradise set quickly came to mind.

I started with some watercolor cardstock and stamped my palm tree and heat embossed it with some clear embossing powder. I then started coloring my tree with my watercolors and created my sand, water and sky. I used a Cross Stitch Rectangle Stax to cut out my scene panel.  I stamped my penguin and used some clear embossing powder and then proceeded to color him with some watercolors also. I fussy cut him out and popped him up with some foam tape to my scene. I used the Hello from the Happy Greetings dies for my greeting. I finished off my card with some clear wink of stella and some morning dew nuvo drops. I love these penguins!!

Shopping Our Stash #272

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week challenge #272 is....
Duck, Duck, Goose!
(use birds and/or feathers)

Here is the project that I created for this challenge:

Confession....I bought the Tim Holtz Bird Crazy & Crazy Things stamp sets at a stamp expo last October (2015) and have never used them. This challenge was the perfect time for me to dig them out and ink them up!  I stamped my bird onto some watercolor cardstock and used some watercolor crayons to color it up. I stamped my greeting from a Pink & Main stamp set onto some blue cardstock and adhered it to my watercolor panel. I added a few doodle lines with a black pen and popped it up onto my card base with some foam tape. I finished off my card with some glitter glue on the polka dots.

Neglected items from my stash that I used on my card are:
--Bird Crazy Stamp Set (a year old, first time using them)--
--Crazy Birds stamp set (a year old, first time using them)--
--Watercolor Crayons (bought in June, first time using them)--
--Glitter Glue (can't remember the last time I used it)--

Be sure to head over to the Shopping Our Stash Challenge Blog to see what my design team sisters created. I hope you will decide to make a project and join us, I would love to see what you create!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!

Card Harmony using Lawn Fawn's Sweet Smiles

Happy Monday!
I hope you had a fabulous weekend!

Today Kimberly and I are back with another Card Harmony post.
Here is a link to my blog post that tells a little bit about what Card Harmony is all about.
We basically take turns purchasing stamps each month and then we both make a card using the same stamp set to see how alike or different our cards turn out. We add a little twist each month though to make it a little more challenging.

This month we are using the stamp set from Lawn Fawn called
Our twist this month was to incorporate watercolor.

This is the card that I created:

I stamped my image using some archival ink and then used the coordinating Sweet Smiles die to cut it out. I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens for my watercoloring. Once I had everything colored in, I set it aside and let it dry. I added some patterned paper and crochet thread along the side of my card. Once my gumball machine was dry, I added those fun little faces to the gumballs, added my greeting and popped up the machine with foam tape. I finished my card off with some enamel dots.

I will also be entering my card into the following challenges:
Lawnscaping Challenge: #126 Sweets
Craft Your Passion: #304 Anything Goes
PDE Linky Party: #115 Anything Goes

Smile :)

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
I hope you are all having a great day!

We were snowed in for a bit this past weekend and I was able to get a little crafting in while I watched the snow fall outside. I love watching it snow, as long as I'm inside lol!
I decided to make this fun little winter card for the current

I placed some ink from some distress markers onto a craft mat and added some water to create my watercolors. I colored my walrus and the ice he is sitting on as well as my Stitched Journaling Card. I added a bit of glossy accents to the ice, which faded my watercoloring just a little. It was a happy accident though cause it looks more like ice :) I finished of my card with some sequins and a fun little bow.

I will also be entering my card into the following challenges:

Pink & Main Challenge #5

Hey everyone!
I hope your Saturday is off to a great start!

Today marks the start of a new challenge over at

Sparkle!!!
(Think glitter, sequins, foil, anything that sparkles and shines)
You just need to simply create a new project, post it to your blog and enter by adding it to the inlinkz at the Pink & Main Challenge Blog.
Easy Peasy!!

Here is the card that I created for the challenge:

For my card, I decided to do a little watercoloring. I used some distress inks and blended them together onto some watercolor cardstock. I then got a wet brush and blended them even more, as well as creating the watercolor effect. I set that layer aside and let it dry. I then took a piece of white cardstock and ran some versamark ink all the way around the edges. I sprinkled on some gold embossing powder and then used my heat gun to melt the powder. I used some foam tape to attach it to my card base. Once my watercolor piece was dry, I took some gold shimmer mist and sprinkled some onto my watercolor piece. I heat embossed that cute little greeting with more gold embossing powder onto a piece of vellum and then attached it by wrapping it and securing it to the back of the watercolor and then layered that onto my card with more foam tape. I finished off my card with some shiny gold sequins.

P.S. Isn't that greeting so sweet?? It's a little sneak peek from one of the new sets that will be releasing on January 10th titled, "Hello Sweet" from Pink & Main.  I love the font and that big "Sweet"!

I hope you will create a project and join us for the

Here is the card that I created for the challenge:

I don't send out too many cards for Thanksgiving so I decided to go with a Thank You card. I can always use those :) I used that cute little whale from the Whale Of A Time stamp set from Pink & Main. I just think he is so darn cute! I recently got some Zig Clean Color Brush pens and decided I would color him using those. I am still learning with them but I love how the texture from the watercolor paper added a little more depth to my whale. For my greeting I used two different stamp sets and a little masking to create my sentiment. The "tons of" came from the Whale Of A Time set (I masked off the love) and the "thanks" came from the Stitched Greetings set.  I finished off my card with a fun little bow and a few sequins.

I hope you will create a project and join us for the

Stretch Your Dies---Day 4

Happy Wednesday!

Today I am back with another card that I made for the
Stretch Your Dies class from Online Card Classes.

Today's class was about getting maximizing your card design and getting two cards by using the negative as well as the positive to create two cards with the same layout yet a different look on each. This technique was shown to us by Kristina Werner.

Here are the cards that I created using this technique:

This is the card that I made using a technique card "die cuts within a larger die" taught to us by Kristina Werner.

I thought this was going to be really difficult but it was actually quite easy. I had a lot of fun with this card! I even got to watercolor which I love but rarely do. :)

Holiday Card Workshop Day 3

Happy Friday!

Today I have another card to share with you that I made for the Holiday Card Workshop 2014.

This is the card that I made for the Day 3, Watercolor Resist technique that was shown to us by the very talented Kristina Werner.

For my card, I decided to go with a non traditional color scheme. I figured the turquoise blue would compliment the snowflakes. My greeting as well as the snowflakes came from the Winter Cheer set by My Creative Time. My stitched card layers also came from My Creative Time. You can find those in the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies + More set.  For my watercolor, I just used what I had on hand, which is just the Crayola Watercolors. I popped up my top layer with some foam adhesive and added a few pieces of some gray bling as well as a twine bow.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!

Stretch Your Stamps 2 Day 5

Happy Tuesday!!

Today I have another card to show you that I made for the

This is the card that I created as part of my homework:

For my card, I used the technique from Jennifer Rzasa. She showed how to use your distress inks not only to  stamp but to watercolor your image as well. For my rose, I wanted more of a bold vibrant color so with the help of my stamp a ma jig, I was able to keep reapplying the color to the stamp so that I could build lots of layers of ink.

Here is a close up of my flower:
