Fall Up-Cycle (A KBD Challenge)

Happy Thursday!
Who's ready for the weekend? Any exciting plans?
No plans for me other than catching up on some crafty time :)

Today I wanted to show you the project that I made for the challenge going on right now in the KBD Challenges group on FB. The challenge is: Make a Fall Project that incorporates something that you upcycled and of course, use a pattern from KaDoodle Bug Designs

I love drinking the bottled frappuccinos from Starbucks but I also love to wash out my bottles when I am done, remove all the labels and decorate them. They make super cute candy holders!

Here is the fall bottle that I created for the challenge by using one of those frapp bottles:

For my bottle, I simply wrapped some patterned paper all around the middle of the bottle. I then cut out those pretty sunflowers and pumpkin from the Girl Fall Bears set from KaDoodle Bug and attached those to the front using some foam adhesive. The bottle is filled with some Pumpkin Spice Kisses.

For the top of my bottle, I add that fun sentiment and some cardstock circles to cover the logo. I then tied a tulle bow around the neck of my bottle and hung a little tag:

Super easy! I hope you will stop by and enter the challenge in the KBD Challenges group.
I would love to see how you upcycle :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!
I hope you have a great crafty day!

MCT Thrifty Thursday

Hi crafty friends & happy Thursday!
Today over at the My Creative Time blog, it is
Thrifty Thursday!
This is the day where we show you projects made with scraps, leftovers or recycled items.

I decided to make a little Easter treat holder using a recycled Starbucks frappe bottle and a little matching gift card.

To make my bottle, I simply removed all the labels and then thoroughly cleaned it. Once it was completely dry from being washed, it was time to decorate. I wrapped my bottle with some patterned paper and thin strips of the green card stock that was left over from the layout that I did last week. (You can see that HERE). Once that was done, I cut out that cute little chick from the Hello Chickie! set using some scraps of card stock and adhered it to the front of my bottle using some foam adhesive.  For the neck of my bottle, I used some scrap lace and then added a tulle bow.  For my 3x3 card, I cut out the base using some scrap white cardstock and then decorated it with more of my scraps. I used the Curly Label Die & the Stitched Curly Label Die to frame my sentiment from the To My Best Peep stamp set. I added another tulle bow and Voila!

For the lid of my bottle, I used the Scallop & Stitched Circle Dies to help cover up the logo. I got my greeting from the Happy Hunting Stamp Set and the cute little Easter Egg is from the Hello Chickie Stamp Set.

I think this will make a cute little gift for someone and it was completely made from scraps and recycled items (except for the tulle and adhesive)! Gotta love that!

Make sure you head over to the My Creative Time blog to see more Thrifty Thursday Inspiration from my wonderful design team sisters!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation! I really appreciate it!
I hope you have a fabulous crafty day!

Here is my Wicked Project:

I decided to alter a Frappe Bottle and fill it with some candy and I also made a coordinating card.

To decorate my bottle, I used a Spider Web border punch and layered some patterned paper on top of that. I then wrapped that around my bottle and secured it with some sticky tape. Once that was adhered, I wrapped some bling around my paper layer and topped it off with a 3D spider.

I used some Simply Black Rumple Ribbon as well as some Purple People Eater Rumple Ribbon to tie a bow around the neck of my bottle. Look at the gorgeous purple!!!

For the lid, I punched out some circles and layered them on top of each other and then added a 3D spider.

For my card, I used my spider web border punch again except this time, I layered it on top of my patterned paper. I added some bling to the web as well as some of that gorgeous
I stamped my hat image onto some white cardstock and then used a spellbinder die to punch it out. I then adhered it to my card using some foam adhesive. I stamped my sentiment onto the bottom right corner using a stamp from Joy's Life Stamps. I then added a little more bling to the hat as well as the top right hand corner of my card.

Teacher Appreciation Gift

Hi everyone!
Happy Saturday!
Today I get to show you another project for
Dr. Phil Scraps

I decided to make a really fun little gift set for
your child's teacher. This could be used not only for Teacher's Appreciation Day but
would also make a very cute gift for Valentine's Day.

This little gift has 2 parts to it.
Here is part 1:

A frapp jar that has been repurposed to hold some candies.
These are so easy to make.
All I did was take a Starbucks Frappachino jar and cleaned it really well.
After it is all dry, it's ready to decorate.
All I did was cut a strip of patterned paper 2" x 10.5" from the
Before I adhered it to my bottle, I used some of the blue card stock,
and used a border punch to give it the spiral edge look that a notebook has.
I layered my patterned paper on top and then attached it to my bottle using some really strong adhesive.
I used red liner tape.
Once that was adhered, I stamped that adorable school house from the
School Rocks Stamp Set (item #B1396) onto some white card stock
and colored the image with some colored pencils.
Then I hand cut it out and adhered it to the front of my jar using some foam adhesive.

For the lid, I stamped this adorable little

For part 2 of my gift set,
I decided to make a cute little post it note holder.

How cute is that silhouette of the kids headed to school?
You can also find that on the School Rocks Stamp Set (item #Z2170).

All I did to make this was cut a strip of white card stock out at 3.5" x  7".
Then I scored at 3.25" and 3.75".
I decorated the front with the stamped image as well as some more of the paper
and rounded all of the bottom corners.
Then I just simply adhered a package of post it's to the inside.

Here is a picture of the post it note holder opened:

Here is one last picture showing both items in the set together:

I think it makes a super cute gift set for that special teacher in your child's life.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Don't forget to head over to Dr. Phil Scraps and become a follower,
there are always tons of inspiration over there :)

I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Create with Joy's Life and Cri-Kits Blog Hop!

Happy Saturday!
Welcome to the Create with Joy's Life Stamps and Cri-Kit Gel Pens Blog Hop!
I'm so happy you decided to join us!

If you arrived here from the super talented Megan, then you are in the right spot.
If you just happened to stumble across the hop on my blog today and would like to start at the beginning, then just hop on over and see Joy of Joy's Life.

For this hop, we are all making projects using not only those awesome Joy's Life stamps but also those super cool Cri-Kits Gel Pens.

For my project, I decided to make a little vase and card gift set.

We will start with the card first:

For my card, I drew the butterfly with my Cri-Kits using the Everyday Pop-Up Cards cricut cartridge. The butterfly is 1.5".
Here is a close-up of the butterfly:

So pretty! Yup, with the Cri-Kits, anything you can cut, you can draw with your die-cutting machine.

I thought this sentiment from Joy's Mother & Daughter set was so pretty and felt this was the perfect project for it:

Here is a picture of the vase:

For the vase, I just upcycled a Starbucks Frappachino jar. I drew a line of butterflies at 1" each and layered that strip onto a piece of purple card stock that I had used my traditional eyelet border punch on. Then I simply wrapped it around the jar and added a ribbon to the top of the jar.

Here is a picture of the set together:

I am so pleased with how it turned out. What a pretty gift of encouragement for someone!

What's a blog hop without a little candy?
I am going to pick one lucky winner to win the following cuttlebug folder:

All you have to do for your chance to win is:

Leave me a comment on this post.

You don't have to be a follower (even though I would love it if you were) but if you are a follower, leave a second comment for a second entry.
