Cartridge Toss-Up with Tags, Bags, Boxes and More

Happy Monday! I know I normally post the Cartridge Toss-Up on Tuesdays but I have a rather busy blog week this week so I will be posting it today. My very good friend Kimberly from Kimberly's Crafty Spot has agreed to help me out with these projects every week. So, from now on instead of seeing just 2 projects a week from one cartridge, you will get to see 4! 2 from me and 2 from Kimberly. How cool is that? She is super talented so you will not be disappointed.

This week, Kimberly and I are focusing on the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cricut cartridge. I was so happy that I was able to get the free download of this cartridge through the gypsy promotion.

The cut I chose to work with for todays project is purse1.

I loaded the purse onto my gypsy and sized it at 9.25". After it was cut out, I did some faux stiching and assembled it. I then used a flower cut from Graphically Speaking at 2.5" and attached it to the front of the purse with some foam adhesive. I then added a little bow to the handle and a little rhinestone to the center of the flower and Voila! So cute! What a cute little gift to give to someone filled with some candy! I love having little projects like this on hand and at the ready. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation! Don't forget to stop by Kimberly's blog to see what she came up with. :)

Cricut--Tags, Bags, Boxes and More & Graphically Speaking
Card Stock--White (PTI) & Pink (Bazzill)

Forever Young

Happy Friday! Is everyone ready for the weekend? Today marks a new challenge week over at Flaunt It Fridays. For this week's challenge, you need to make something with the FOREVER YOUNG cartridge and the cut choice this week is Model 1, Emblem (Silhouette feature). You can create anything you want and for an extra challenge try to create something different from last week's project. Here's my project:

I decided to leave this card blank, so it could be easily used as a note card to send to someone to let them know that I am thinking of them. My Emblem was cut out at 3" and for my border across the bottom, I used the border feature from All Occasion cake Art.

If you do not own this cart feel free to use any similar cut from any cartridge, you have one week to enter the challenge. So, head on over to Flaunt It Fridays to enter your project, we are looking forward to seeing what you create!

Supplies:
Cricut--Forever Young & All Occasion Cake Art
Cardstock--White (PTI), Grey (Bazzill), Pink Pirouette (SU!)

Cartridge Toss-Up with Straight From The Nest part 2

Happy Thursday! So sorry for posting this so late. I have been having a slow kinda day around here. :)

For today's card, I wanted to make a simple but elegant card to have on hand for whatever occasion. Whether it be a birthday, thank you or just because. I was inspired by some little die-cut note cards in the SU idea book, and decided to see if I could make my own. Here is my card:

I took two rectangles from George and welded them together in my gypsy for my card base. I then took the medallion and sized it at 3" and welded that into the front of my card. Voila! Easy Peasy! I cut it out with my cricut and lined the inside of the card with some Pink Pirouette cardstock, added a scallop trim, a bow and a little rhinestone to the center and my card was complete. Quick and easy but so pretty at the same time. Gotta love that! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today. I hope you have a great crafty day!

Supplies:
Gypsy
Cricut--George and Basic Shapes & Straight From The Nest
Cardstock--White (PTI) & Pink Pirouette (SU!)
Punch--Scallop Sentiment (Fiskars)
Ribbon--Offray

You and Me

It's Wednesday! That means the start of another great challenge at Cooking With Cricut! This week the challenge is Emboss It! It doesn't matter if you choose dry or wet embossing, just as long as you emboss on your project somewhere. Here is what I came up with:

I used the love language cuttlebug embossing folder and embossed little hearts on the tree as well as the background of my card. I used the sweethearts cricut cartridge to cut out the tree at 4" and the phrase "You & Me" at 1.5". The inside reads, "The Best Is Yet To Be". Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and looking at my latest creation! Don't forget to head over to Cooking With Cricut to see what the rest of the design team came up with and to enter the challenge! We would love to see what you create! Have a great crafty day!

Cartridge Toss-Up with Straight From The Nest

Hello and happy Tuesday to you all! I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day filled with lots of love and chocolate! :)

This week I will be exploring the cartridge, "Straight From The Nest". I was so happy when I pulled this cartridge out of my jar cause it has so many cute images and cool functions and I really don't use it as much as I should.

I decided to make a card using the border function. I cut the Flowerpot border out at 3" and the card just kinda took shape from there.

Pretty simple, but I am so happy with it. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog and take a look at my latest creation! Have a great crafty day!

Cupcake Gift Bag

Today's project was made for the challenge over at The Paper Variety. This week the challenge is to use cupcakes on your project. That is right up my alley, since I love cupcakes and making things with cupcakes on it. :) I decided to make a little gift bag and a matching gift tag.

Here is a picture of both together:

And here is a close-up of the tag:

What a cute way to give someone a gift! For the bag, I cut the cupcake out of Sweet Treats at 3" and used a border punch for the top and bottom of the bag. The bag itself, is a little plain white gift bag from WalMart. For the tag, I cut the tag out of Sweet Treats at 3" and the little cupcake on the tag was cut out at 1.75". I added lots of dazzling diamonds to both projects to give it lots of sparkle. :) Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my latest creation! Have a great crafty day!

Cartridge Toss Up ~~ Tie The Knot Project #2

Today I will be showing you my second project that I made while exploring my Tie The Knot Cartridge. There is this awesome little heart favor box on page 71 in the handbook that I thought would be perfect for Valentines Day coming up.

I made this one for my daughter. I will fill it with some candy and little gifts and hang it on her door knob so she finds it when she wakes up. I used fit to page and cut out the box at 7.5". It was so simple to put together also! Thanks for stopping by and checking out my latest creation! Don't forget to check back next Tuesday when I start exploring a completely different cartridge. Hearts And Flowers

Today starts a new challenge week over at Cooking With Cricut. This weeks challenge is Hearts and Flowers.

I have had this plain steno notebook sitting on my desk for a couple of weeks just screaming to be altered. I decided to decorate it for this challenge, that way I have something pretty to put all my thought/ideas in. Here is what I came up with:

I have to say, I am very pleased with how this turned out. I used Lacy Labels (cut at 3") for the frame and Lyrical Letters (cut at 2") for the monogram. I added some dazzling diamonds to the "S" but my picture taking skills didn't quite pic that up. :)

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today and checking out my latest project. I hope you decide to join in the fun over at Cooking With Cricut. I look forward to seeing what you create! Have a great crafty day!

Cartridge Toss-Up with Tie the Knot

Happy Tuesday! I am going to try something new. Sometimes it is so hard for me to keep up with all the images on all my cricut cartridges, and I forget what they all have on them. I get into the habit of having a favorite and that seems to be the "go to" cartridge for me. I have also noticed that some of my cartridges haven't even been used. Yikes! So, I decided to explore each one of my cartridges each week. I made this little jar and put the names of each one of my cartridges in it. Each week, I will pick out a new cartridge and make at least 2 projects with it. It will start each Tuesday with the first project and wrap up on Thursday or Friday with the last project.

The first cartridge picked is Tie The Knot. This is one of the cartridges that I have never ever used. This was my first time using it. :) I had so much fun making today's project and I can see this cartridge for many projects, not just wedding themed.

I decided to make the Bride box and the Groom box for my first project.

Aren't these the cutest little boxes ever? Not only would they be perfect for a wedding, but how cute would the bride box be for a sweet sixteen party? Or both of them for a prom party?

I kept them pretty simple and they took minutes to make. They were so easy to do. I added some ribbon on the bride box to hold it closed and added some hot pink rhinestones to the tux for the shirt buttons. The Bride box was cut at 11.5" and the Grrom box was cut at 10.25" Thanks so much for stopping in and taking a look. Have a great crafty day!

Supplies:
Cricut--Tie the Knot
Card stock--Black (Recollections), White (PTI), Pink (Bazzill)
Offray Ribbon
Studio 18 Rhinestones

Thanks so much!

Happy Monday! I wanted to make a card this weekend and went to my favorite cartridge, Create A Critter for some inspiration. It felt really good to actually sit down and make soemthing. I have had so much going on in my life recently, that my mojo has been missing for awhile. This little sheep is so cute and just what I needed to get the creativity flowing again!

I even pulled out my sewing machine and stitched around the card. I am really loving the light spring colors on this card too. I think I am just ready for spring. haha! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my latest creation! Have a great crafty day!

Supplies:
Cricut--Create A Critter (cut at 3")
