Shopping Our Stash #288

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week challenge #288 is....
Days Of Yore
(Make something with a Vintage/Shabby Chic/Distressed Look)
Here is what I created:

Confession time, I struggled with this challenge. I think Shabby Chic is gorgeous but it just doesn't seem to be my style so I was at odds with myself as to what to do and wasn't sure I could pull it off. I turned to my Cricut and found this sweet little lock image from the Victorian Romance Cricut Cartridge and that ended up being my starting point lol! I found some papers in my stash that I thought had a shabby chic feel to them and started building my card. I distressed the edges of my patterned paper, inked it and wrapped some ribbon and lace around it before adding it to my card base. I added my lock and added some clear Wink Of Stella to it for a little shimmer. I have a shoebox filled with paper flowers so I dusted it off and took a look inside (I never use them lol) and found these sweet pink ones that I added to the bottom corner. I added some pearl spray that I had left over from a mini album that I did in 2013!! I die cut some butterflies, added more wink of stella and then attached them to my card. I have a habit of buying these little metal keys from the little dollar bins from Michael's whenever I see them. Not sure why since I don't really use them lol! I added one to the the middle of my bow with a little glue. My card still looked like it was missing something to me so I looked around in my sticker bin and found some little Small Talk stickers from Tim Holtz and thought it was perfect! I trimmed it a little so that it fit between the pearls on my lock. I know Shabby Chic is not my area of "expertise" but I don't think I did too bad lol! I think my card came out kinda pretty and i am really happy with it :)

Neglected Items From My Stash That I Used Are:
  • Victorian Romance Cricut Cartridge. Can't remember ever using it and have probably had it for at least 2 years.
  • Beautiful Wings Embosslits. Received this from a friend about a year ago and used it for the first time on this.
  • Pearl Spray. Scraps left over from a previous project.
  • Key
  • Small Talk Stickers. Bought them for Project Life about 6 months ago. Used them for the first time here.
  • Distress Tool. Can't remember last time it was used, if ever. lol

Christmas Card Challenge Week 5

Hello crafty friends!
I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday :)

Today marks the beginning of another challenge at

The challenge is:

Snow! I love all things snow, including the cold it brings, as long as I can stay warm inside ;) lol! I decided to make a card that had a snowy scene.

I adore these Polar Bears and couldn't wait to stamp out an entire Polar Bear family! To create my snow background layer, I used some texture paste with a little glitter added in over a snow falling stencil. I put that piece off to the side and stamped out my Polar Bears. I colored them in with my Copics and then fussy cut each one out. I cut some snowy hills out using a die and stamped my greeting along the bottom of one of the hills. I trimmed my snow background panel once it was dry, added some ribbon and attached to my card front. I added the back snow hill and the Papa Bear and then popped up the front snowy hill with the Mama Bear and Kiddos. The Santa hat that Papa Bear is wearing actually came from a completely different stamp set. I love when I can get more use out of my stamps by mixing and matching :)

Be sure to head over to the Christmas Card Challenges blog to see the amazing cards my design team sisters created. I hope you are inspired and decide to join us and play along with the challenge. I would love to see what you create :)

The other challenges are:
&

Here is a look at the card that I created:

My darling daughter bought me the Page Huggers stamp and Die set from Mama Elephant for Christmas and I thought this sweet little mouse was perfect for the card I wanted to create. I stamped my mouse and envelope and did some really simple Copic coloring. I used the coordinating dies to cut it out and placed it on my "postage" stamp with some foam tape. I added my greeting and then popped it up onto my card front with more foam tape. I finished off my card with some little heart puffy stickers that I found in the Target Dollar Spot and a little pink bow for my mouse. I think this little mouse is absolutely adorable!

Happy happy Thursday!!
Today starts a new challenge over at
Yay!

The sponsor for this challenge is:

Here is the cookie photo for this challenge's inspiration:

Those cookies almost look too good to eat. Notice I said almost lol!

Here is the card that I created based on the above cookie photo:

My card was so simple to create! I was lucky to find this chipboard snowman sticker in my stash, which made it super quick as well! I simply added the snowman, snowflakes & greeting onto my card base, added another die cut snow hill to the front and voila! Oh I almost forgot, I also added a few little dots of stickles here and there for just a bit more snow :)

Hope You're Feline Better!

Hi there crafty friends!
How is your Wednesday going so far? I hope it is a wonderful one!

Today I would like to share a shaped card that I made using some of those awesome
Pink & Main stamps and dies.

BlogButton

I love making shaped cards out of these fun Scallop Hexagons! I cut out two of the largest hexagons from some gray cardstock and attached them together with a bit of liquid glue. I added a pink hexagon to the center of my card front by using the Nested Hexagon dies. I did emboss it with my Swiss Dots embossing folder before adhering to my card though :) I stamped out that cute kitty from the Meow stamp set, colored her in with my Copics and then used the coordinating Meow dies to cut her out. I stamped my greeting, also from the Meow stamp set, and flagged the ends. I popped the kitty up with some foam tape for a little added dimension and added a little bow to the top of the card. To finish off my card, I used my white gel pen to create some doodles.

Shopping Our Stash #287

Hi crafty friends!
I hope you are having a Terrific Tuesday so far 😀

Tuesday means that a new challenge is starting over at

For challenge #287, it is
Let's see some Gold Glittery Goodness!

Here is the card that I created:

I love the look of glitter but HATE the mess that it leaves behind, so I turned to patterned paper for this challenge lol! I created a black card base and adhered a piece of gold chevron glitter striped paper. I cut out a piece of turquoise cardstock, added ribbon and a bow and attached that to the glitter panel. I die cut the "hello" from black cardstock three times and glued them together to get it to pop off the card a bit more and added a turquoise butterfly to finish off my card

Neglected items from my stash that I used are:
  • Studio Gold Patterned Paper Pad
  • Butterfly Punch

Stick It Down Card Sketch Challenge

Hi crafty friends!
I hope your Monday is off to a marvelous start!

Today I am here to share a card sketch with you from the
Stick It Down is a monthly sketch challenge blog.  They provide sketches not only for a card once a month, but also for double and single page layouts! Cool right??
The sketches are normally posted on the first of the month with reveals throughout the month of the design team's interpretations. Today the card team designers are showing what they created for this month's card sketch.

Here is a look at the January 2017 card sketch;

and here is my take on the sketch:

This card came together so quickly! I was flipping through some papers and found these patterns pretty fast. It was pretty easy to pair up the skunk image once I had these papers picked out and the great sketch just tied it all together! The longest part was waiting for the glossy accents to dry lol!

I hope you will stop by the Stick It Down Challenge blog and take a peek at what my design team sisters created with the sketch. I hope you are inspired to join us! I would love for you to link up so I could take a peek at what you created :)

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!

Wool Ewe Be Mine?

Hi crafty friends!
How is everyone's weekend going so far? It's rainy here and when you pair that with the little cold I have, you have the perfect combination to stay in and craft lol! Gotta see the bright side of things right?? Today I have a card to share with you that I created for a couple of challenges.

and

Here is the card that I created for the challenges:

This card was really simple to create and was done rather quickly, one of the perks of CAS :) I colored my image with my Copic markers and used a circle die to cut it out. I placed it on top of a pink doily and trimmed off a section so that it would fit snug against my strip along the side of the card. I finished off my card with the greeting popped up with some foam tape and some doodling around the card front.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog and take a look at my latest creation.

XOXO

Happy happy Saturday!!
Any fun plans for the weekend? I'm feeling a bit under the weather (just a small cold) so I plan on staying in and crafting the weekend away lol! I was looking at some challenge sites last night and came across this great sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Here is a look at their sketch:

Tuesday Morning Sketch #386

Here is a look at the card I created based on the above sketch:

My bestie sent my this sweet little stamp as a Christmas gift this past Christmas and I have been itching to get her inky! I stamped her out onto some Copic paper and colored her in. I used a postage frame die to cut her out and popped it up with some foam tape. The XOXO is a die that I cut out and simply glued onto a strip of black cardstock. I put some Clear Wink of Stella on my image for a little sparkle. Every girl needs a dress that sparkles right??

You Are So Spectacular

Hi there crafty friends!
How is your Wednesday going so far? I hope wonderfully!

Today I would like to share a card that I made using some of those awesome
Pink & Main stamps and dies.

BlogButton

My daughter loves anything, especially critters, with glasses on so I thought it would be fun to make her a card with this sweet little owl from the Owl Nerds stamp set. I stamped the owl onto some white cardstock and colored her in with my Copic markers. I used the coordinating Owl Nerds dies, cut her out and added glossy accents to her lenses. I sat her to the side to let her dry and then worked on the rest of the card. I used the largest die in the Stitched Rounded Rectangles set to cut out my polka dot paper and the Stitched Circle Dies for my blue and white circles. I popped up the white circle with some foam tape. For my greeting, I masked off part of the stamp from the Wild About You stamp set to get the "you are so". The "spectacular" came from the Owl Nerds stamp set. I also popped up my greeting with foam tape. Once my Owl was dry, I glued her to the white circle and added a little green bow to finish off my card.

Shopping Our Stash #286

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week challenge #286 is....
Fantastic Beasts!
(Unicorns, Dragons, Monsters, Etc.)

Here is what I created:

My crafty bestie's hubby is having a birthday soon so I decided to make a card to send to him. He likes dragons so this challenge was the perfect time to get one made. 😀 I stamped the dragon and fire and colored them in with my Copics. I fussy cut them out and put them off to the side for a bit while I worked on the rest of the card. I took some distress inks and did a little bit of ink blending for my sky. I used a cloud border die to create the clouds at the bottom. I adhered the sky and clouds to my card base. I popped up the fire with some foam tape and attached the dragon to my card with an action wobble so that he "flies" a little.

Neglected items from my stash that I used are:

  • Distress Inks. I hardly ever use them.
  • Puffy Cloud Border Dies
  • Action Wobbles

I've Taken A Viking To You

Hi crafty friends!
I hope your Monday is marvelous so far!
Today I would like to share a card that I created for the January card sketch over at

Here is a look at their sketch:

Here is the card that I created based on their sketch:

I've had this little Viking stamp for awhile now and was so happy to finally ink it up for this card! I colored him in with my Copics and tried to match him up to the patterned papers that I picked out the best I could. After my card was assembled, I decided it needed a fun little bow so I wrapped some crochet thread around the top and tied a bow, leaving the tails extra long. I think it turned out to be a really cute Valentine :)

Christmas Card Challenges Week 4

Hello crafty friends!
I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday :)

Today marks the beginning of another challenge at

The challenge is:

When I saw this photo I was inspired by the gifts wrapped so neat and pretty.
Here is the card that I created with that in mind:

I love this little Elf! I stamped him up and then did a little masking so that the gifts could be situated slightly behind him. I colored in everything with my copics and paper pieced the silver presents with the glitter paper. I sat it aside and then started building my card. One of my goals this year is to actually use/do some of the items that I pin on pinterest so I went to my card sketches folder and picked a sketch to use. The sketch I picked is an older one from My Favorite Things
I built all my layers according to the sketch and then added my colored image panel to the front of the card. For the three silver dots, I simply used a standard hole punch (for school notebook paper) and punched them out of the same glitter paper. I thought that was a neat way to add a little more shimmer. Can't have too much shimmer when it comes to Christmas cards right? lol!

Be sure to head over to the Christmas Card Challenges blog to see the amazing cards my design team sisters created. I hope you are inspired and decide to join us and play along with the challenge. I would love to see what you create :)

Hi crafty friends!
I hope you are having a fabulous Thursday!!
Today starts the beginning of a new challenge over at
Woot Woot!!

There are two sponsors for this challenge and they are:

Here is the photo inspiration for challenge #60:

Adorable cookies right??

Here is the card I created based on the above photo:

I started with a gray cardbase and added some pink graph patterned paper. I printed out my Little Penguin Winter image from Bugaboo Stamps onto some Copic friendly cardstock and colored her up with the cookie colors as my inspiration for her beanie hat. For the snow, I added some liquid applique to the flakes and the ground and then used my heat tool to fluff it up. I love doing that for winter cards lol! I matted my image onto some gray cardstock and popped it up with some foam tape onto the card front. I added some fun little snowflake confetti to the card and added a little bling to the center of each one. I finished it off by adding some glossy accents to the penguin's nose and eyes.

You're beary sweet

Hey there crafty friends!
I hope that your Wednesday is off to a wonderful start!

Today I  am here to share a card that uses some of those fabulous
Pink & Main stamps and dies!

BlogButton

Now that the holiday's are over, I need to make a few thank you cards and get them in the mail. I stamped this bear from the Furever stamp set and used one of the faces from the Mini Faces Set 3 and colored her in with my Copics. I used the Furever dies ( I love having coordinating dies!) to cut out my bear and placed her on top of a white square panel that I created from the Stitched Rounded Square Dies. I used one of the dies in the Scallop Borders set to cut out a white scallop border to attach to my plaid paper. I adhered some ribbon and a bow and layered everything onto my Kraft card base. For my greeting, I stamped that sentiment from the Animal Faces set with some VersaMark ink and then heat embossed it with some white embossing powder. I finished off my little bear with a few random highlights with a white gel pen.

Shopping Our Stash #285

Hey everyone and happy Tuesday!!
It's time for a new challenge over at

This week challenge #285 is....
Stickle Me Elmo!
(Use some Stickles on your project)

Here is what I created:

I decided to use this challenge as a way to get a jump start on some of my Valentine's. I kept my card pretty simple so that it would be pretty easy to mail. I used a scallop rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs and stamped my greeting onto the bottom corner. That cute little girl came from the Sent With Love SVG file from KaDoodle Bug Designs. After I had her all cut out, I stamped a sweet little face onto her and then assembled her. I popped her bangs and the middle heart on her banner up with some foam tape for some added dimension. I brought out my trusty red stickles, which I haven't used in a really long time, and applied a thin coating to the hearts. I used a small and cheap paint brush to spread the stickles so that I got a pretty even layer of coverage. I added some pink pearl "earrings" and a few sequins to my card to finish it off. I think it looks kinda plain but I also really like that the focus is on that cute little SVG.

Neglected items from my stash that I used are:
  • Red Stickles! I can't think of the last time I used colored stickles! (pretty funny cause I used to be obsessed and had to have every color at the time)
  • Sent With Love SVG. I don't use my Cricut and SVG's like I used to.
  • Peachy Keen Face Stamps
  • Pearls. I normally gravitate towards sequins/bling/enamel dots lately.

Be sure to stop by the Shopping Our Stash challenge blog to see the amazing creations my design team sisters created. I hope you will decide to play along with us, I would love to see what you create.

DCWV Jan. Stack-a-Holic Sketch Challenge

Happy Monday!!
Today I would like to share a card that I made for the

Here is the card sketch for the month of January:

and here is the card that I created based on the above sketch:

For my card, I used some pretty pink textured cardstock from the Brights Adhesive Cardstock Matstack. I added a piece to my card base and then lightly sanded around the perimeter of the card to bring out some of the white core. The polka dot paper is beautiful isn't it? I love all that foil! I got that from The Silver Lining Stack, die cut it out and popped it up on my card front with some foam tape. I cut out my hearts from more of that pretty pink cardstock and heat embossed my greeting onto a black cardstock strip. I finished off my card with some glossy accents on the smaller hearts.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog and take a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!
I hope you have a great crafty day!
