Love Mini Album

Hi Everyone!
Today I would like to share with you a mini album that I made for my bestie.
Every month we do a swap with each other and for the month of May, we decided to make each other a mini. We each gave the other a list of 5 themes that we would like to have a mini for and created a mini album from that list. We couldn't tell each other what theme we chose, that way it would be a surprise when we received it in the mail.

I was really intimidated cause I have never created a 6x6 chipboard mini album before. This was my first.
One of the themes that Kimberly had on her list was a love themed album for pictures and memories of her and her hubby.

This is what I created for her:

The cover:

Pages 1 and 2:
(Quote is on a flap that opens up for more pictures)

Pages 3 and 4:

Pages 5 and 6:

Pages 7 and 8:
(On the right hand side, once the bow is untied it reveals another little mini album)

Pages 9 and 10:

All the patterned papers came from the Love Me collection from My Mind's Eye.
If you have questions about anything else that I used, don't hesitate to ask.

I hope she enjoys the mini album that I made for her.
You can see the one she made for me on her blog post HERE.

I hope you all have a great crafty day!

This Calls For Chocolate!

Hi everyone!
Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend with lots of crafty time :)

Today I get to share with you another fun project showcasing those awesome Joy's Life Stamps.
This week the design team has been showing projects that incorporate a tag in some way.

I decided to make a fun little birthday gift using a recycled frappachino jar.

A view from the top:

For my project, I reused a frappachino jar. After I cleaned it really good, I filled it with some chocolate candies. I wrapped my jar with some fun papers from TPC Studios. I then decorated the lid using the same papers and my circle punches/dies. I fussy cut a little birthday gift from the patterned paper and applied that to the lid as well. I added a tulle bow and a cute little tag using this awesome sentiment from the Tag You're It Set 2 set from Joy's Life Stamps:

My tag was cut from the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge at 2.5".

Super cute huh? and who doesn't love chocolate!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!

Happy Tuesday!
This week, the Joy's Life DT is all about birthdays!

You can never have too many birthday cards on hand, so I decided to make another card to keep in my card stash.

I used my The Sweet Shop cricut cartridge for my ice cream cone and cut it out at 4". I added some dazzling diamonds to the light pink, even though it didn't show up very well in the picture. I popped up my cone with some foam adhesive to give the card a little more dimension.

For my sentiment, I used one from the Yummy Pun stamp set from Joy's Life:

Fun In The Sun--A Krafty Girls Challenge

Happy Tuesday!
Are you guys ready for another awesome challenge starting today at

Challenge #10 is all about Fun In The Sun---Create a project that inspires you about summer.

I decided to make a card based on the most loved items in my closet :o)
Flip Flops!

I love flip flops! I look forward to warm weather just so I can wear them. Although if I am being truly honest, I pretty much wear them year round, even when it is 40 degrees outside. :o)

Anywho, for my card, I created a ruffled border by using my diamond lace border punch from EK Success and layered them on top of each other. I added a seam binding bow and then added that to my white card base. For my flip flops, I cut them out of the Car Decals cricut cartridge at 3.25" and attached them to the top of my white base.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation. I really appreciate it! Don't forget to head over to the Krafty Girls blog to see more fun in the sun projects from the design team. I hope you will enter the challenge. I look forward to seeing what you create!

If you got here from Sarabeth of Chronicles Of Sarita, then you are in the right place. If you just happened to stumble across the hop on my blog today and would like to start at the beginning, hop on over and see Joy at Joy's Life.

For my project, I decided to try my hand at a TP roll mini album. I have never done one of these before but I have wanted to try it for awhile so I gave it a shot. They are really simple to do and I had a lot of fun making it. I made my mini into a summer theme for all those cute little random pictures we take of our kids during their summer vacation from school.

Here is a pic of the mini closed. My sentiment and popsicle came from the Popsicle Puns set by Joy's Life stamps:

Pages 1 and 2:

Pages 3 and 4.
Page 3 has a stamp from the Mother & Daughter set
and page 4 has a stamp from Lots of Pun. Both from Joy's Life.

Pages 5 and 6:

Pages 7 and 8:

Pages 9 and 10.
Both pages include stamps from the Sweet Popsicle Puns by Joy's Life:

Here is a picture of the album closed with all the side tags out:

I left all the tags blank so there is more room for journaling/pictures.

Like I said, I had so much fun making this and I think it came out so cute. I will definitely be making more of these soon.

What's a blog hop without a little candy?
I am going to pick one lucky person to receive this awesome 6x6 paper pad from My Mind's Eye.

You're The Best!

Happy Tuesday!

This week the Joy's Life DT has been showcasing those awesome Joy's Life Stamps in honor of Father's Day.  Today I get to show you what I created for my project :)

Masculine cards are very hard for me. I struggle with them all the time, so I have found what works best for me at this point is keeping it very clean and simple.

I cut my coffee cup out of the Everyday Pop Up Cards Cricut Cartridge at 3". I added a little glossy accents to the stripe on the cup and some little metal studs in each of the corners of the card.

I picked a sentiment from the Father and Son set from Joy's Life.

Voila! Easy Peasy! I told you it was simple ;) haha!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today and seeing my latest creation. I really appreciate it!

I hope you have a great crafty day!

Trendy Twine Thursday featuring Blue Berry

Hello and happy Thursday!
Today I get to share with you a fun little project using that beautiful Blue Berry Trendy Twine!

For my project, I decided to get a jump start on some of my July 4th projects.
I decided to make a little centerpiece to go on my dining room table.

I made some rosettes and attached them to some bamboo skewers and placed them in a vase filled with peppermints to give them some stability. I wrapped each skewer with twine. I had a lot of fun making this project and I am very happy with how it turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!

Don't forget about the monthly challenge going on at the Trendy Twine blog. There is still plenty of time to enter. :)

I hope you have a great crafty day!

Scrapbook Layout On Canvas

Happy Wednesday!
Today the Joy's Life DT is showcasing those awesome Joy's Life stamps in scrapbooking.

I knew what picture and what I wanted to do as soon as I heard the assignment.
I absolutely love this random picture that was taken of me and my hubby. It really captures who we are and what we are like everyday. Needless to say, it is one of my favorite pictures of the two of us.
I decided to make a layout on a 8x10 stretched canvas to display in our bedroom.

I love how it turned out! All I did was make a typical layout and then I adhered everything to the canvas. Really easy!

This sentiment from the Tag You're It--Set Two set from Joy's Life was perfect for my project.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation! I really appreciate it!

Snail Mail Card---A Krafty Girls Challenge

For my Trendy Twine Tuesday project, click HERE

Happy Tuesday!

Today starts another fun challenge over at the Krafty Girls Blog!

This week is Mission Impossible: Create a paper craft that someone helped you create by embossing, designing, cutting, or doing anything that helps you finish your project.

I had a lot of fun with this project. I had my daughter help me with it. She picked the cricut cartridge that I had to use for my main image for my starting point. Then I designed the card. After I was done designing and adhering everything down, she came in and put on all the finishing touches. She added the googly eyes, glossy accents and all the doodling.

We had a great time! What a fun way to spend time with your family or friends, and work on a challenge at the same time! I hope you will head over to Krafty Girls and play along with us! I would love to see what you create and I'm sure you will have just as much fun as my daughter and I did!

I hope you have a great crafty day!

Trendy Twine Tuesday featuring Blue Berry

Hi Everyone!
Are you guys ready for another great month of projects showcasing the fabulous Trendy Twine?
This month we are featuring the beautiful Blue Berry Trendy Twine.

This twine is absolutely gorgeous and I love the blues that are in it. It coordinates so well with so many colors.

For my project, I decided to make a little clutch purse that holds a little post it holder.

I cut my little clutch from the Forever Young Cricut Cartridge at 5".  I outlined the purse flap in Blue Berry Trendy Twine and also added some twine to my buttons that are on the flowers. For the post it note holder, I used the twine across the top for a cute little bow and also in the button center of my flower. The post it note holder fits inside the purse but for the picture, I took it out.

There is a super fun challenge for you this month on the Trendy Twine Blog, I hope you will play along. I would love to see what you create!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and taking a look at my latest creation!
