From Our Gnome to Yours...

Hi everyone & happy December!!

Today starts a new challenge over at the Jaded Blossom blog!!

This month is all about Shaker Cards!!

 We would love to see your project that uses some of those awesome Jaded Blossom stamps/dies!

Challenge Guidelines: 

1) Project must be new for this challenge, no back linking

2) Project must have a Jaded Blossom stamp, die, or stencil somewhere on it. 

3) Only one entry per person

Here is a look at the card that I created for the challenge: 

I'm still in need of Christmas cards (eek!!) so this was the perfect time to create a fun and festive shaker!

I started by covering an A2 cardbase with some green patterned paper. I cut out a few scallop frames using the Rectangle Internal Scallops, stacking them together for a little stability and depth. I added a sheet of acetate and added another scallop frame using some white glitter cardstock. I flipped it over, filled it with some sequins and clay bits before adding a piece of patterned paper to the back to seal it up. I adhered it to the front of my card and built my little tag by using the Treat Tag Die, Gnome For Christmas Stamp Set and the Bow Dies. I glued that to the center of my shaker window and Voila! 

 

I think shaker cards are so fun!

Jaded Blossom's March Release Blog Hop!

Hey Everyone!  

Welcome to Jaded Blossom's March Stamp Release Blog Hop.  

Now if you're here from Lee-Ann's Blog, then you're in the right place.  If you're just passing through be sure to start at the beginning because you don't want to miss a thing.   I also have the complete line up at the bottom.
Here is a look at what I made to share with you today:

First up is an adorable little shaker card that is perfect for Easter. I started out by making an A2 white card base. I used the Rectangle Dies 2 and cut out my floral patterned paper and then used the Stitched Oval Dies to create my window opening. I sandwiched the same Stitched Oval Die with a Scallop Oval Die to create a white frame to go around my window and adhered that to my card. I filled my shaker opening with some fun shaker bits and adhered a piece of pink patterned paper to the back to hold everything in. I attached the shaker layer to my card base and started decorating to create my little scene. I used the Mushroom Dies to create my little grassy hill and colored that adorable little gnome from the Happy Easter Gnomie stamp set with my Copics. I added a few Easter eggs and a carrot from the Spring Banner Dies, as well as a fun little banner from the Banner Dies along the top of my card. I completed my card with a few white Nuvo drops. 

Next, I just had to make a fun little treat!

I used the Crate Die and cut my crate from some white cardstock. I added another grassy hill by using the Mushroom Dies and tucked more carrots from the Spring Banner Dies behind the grass. I colored that Gnome from the Happy Easter Gnomie stamp set and popped him up onto the front with foam tape. I thought that sentiment from the Easter Treats 2 was perfect so I stamped it with some black ink and used the Mini Tag Dies 2 to cut it out and adhered it to my box. 

I filled my little crate with some green crinkle paper and some chocolate shaped carrots, aka bunny bait lol!

You Have my Heart Shaker Card

I wanted to stop in real quick and share a card that I made for  

 Day 3 of the MFT Camp Create 2019: Spectacular Shakers!

This card was so simple and fun to make! I started out by making an A2 card base from some gray cardstock. I used MFT's Blueprints 27 to cut a scalloped rectangle from some plaid patterned paper and attached that to my card base. Next I started building my shaker portion. I used MFT's Cross Stitch Rectangle Stax to cut out some pink patterned paper and then used the Heart Shaker Window & Frame (also from MFT) to create my window. I added a heart shaker pouch to the opening, filled it with some sequins, confetti, glitter and seed beads and closed the back with some more gray cardstock. I adhered it to my card base and added a white frame around the heart. I used the Bitty Bears stamp set for that adorable bear and sentiment. I added an enamel heart for the bear to hold and some crochet thread to complete my card. 

I think it turned out so cute!!

Jaded Blossom's July Challenge!!

Hi everyone!!

I hope you are all having a fabulous Sunday!

Today starts a new challenge over at the Jaded Blossom Blog!! Yay!!!

For this month's challenge, we would like to see your projects that use those awesome Jaded Blossom products and the following photo as your inspiration:

Such a cute photo and so many different ways that it can be used for your inspiration! Here is a look at what I made to share with you today:

I was inspired by the pastel colors and the words, Rainbow and Unicorn. I thought it would be fun to make a shaker and try to incorporate all those items onto my card. I started out by using a cloud stencil and inking up some clouds with oxide inks in different colors to form a "rainbow" cloud background. I cut out my cloud background using one of the Octagon Dies and started to create my shaker piece. I added some fun sequins, confetti bits, acetate and a frame that I created by stacking two of the Octagon Dies together. I created my card base from some light blue cardstock and used the Card Mat Die to cut out a piece of polka dot vellum to layer on top. I added my shaker piece to the front of my card and began coloring up that adorable Unicorn from the Unicorns and Glitter stamp set. Once I had her colored with my Copics, I fussy cut her out and added a bit of glitter to her horn. I added her to the front of my shaker window and added my greeting below her. I completed the look of my card by adding some Nuvo drops and confetti pieces on the acetate to provide a little more interest. 

I think this turned out so pretty!! I love the soft colors!

Sweet Birthday Shaker Card

Hi everyone!

It's my day to take over the SVG Cutting Files blog and I have a fun birthday themed shaker card to share with you.

This was so super easy to make! 

I used the Gumball Machine Shaker Card file from SVGCuttingFiles to create my card. I cut the top layer out 6 times and layered them together to create my well for my shaker bits. I stamped my greeting using a stamp set from MFT and used some acetate confetti circles to act as the "gumballs". 

I added a few doodles with my white gel pen to complete my card and in no time flat, it was complete and ready to go! Gotta love that!!

Here is a look at what I created with the new Kawaii Tea stamp set:

I used the Scallop Rectangle Dies 2 to create my card base. I cut some floral patterned paper using the Rectangle Dies 2 and layered it on top of my base. I did a little masking & stamped some of the images from the Kawaii Tea and colored them with my Copic markers. I cut out my image panel by using another rectangle from the Rectangle Dies 2 and stamped my greeting from the Hello Cute-Tea stamp set. I adhered it to a piece of vellum that I cut out using the Scallop Rectangle Dies 2 and popped it up onto my card with foam tape.  I stamped that adorable tea pot, fussy cut it out and popped it up with more foam tape. I added an enamel heart to finish my card. 

So super cute!!

Splash!

Hi everyone!

I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!

Today I'm sharing a project that I made for the Cut Club Blog using a fun mermaid file that can be found in the March Bundle. 

I thought it would be fun to make a shaker card using the Splash file. I cut out the Splash file, layered the pieces together and set it aside. I created my card base and added my shaker frame filled with all my shaker bits to my card. I added my Splash piece directly to the acetate, as well as a few sequins and Nuvo drops for some more interest. So incredibly easy but I love the WOW factor you get from a shaker card!!

I covered my white card base with some pretty gold foiled patterned papers and made a shaker using the Shaker Basics Set #1. I colored Rae- What An Angel with my Copic markers and added her to the front of my shaker window and added a sentiment from Jaded Blossom to the top. Super simple but I love how it came out! So pretty!!

Christmas Shaker

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a marvelous Monday!

Today I have a Christmas shaker card to share with you that I made using some of those great products from Stamp Anniething.

I made a square card and then used the Star Card Mat Die to build my shaker window. I filled it with some ornament filler that I found at the dollar tree along with some of the Snow Diamond Adornments from Stamp Anniething. I colored Katy - Have A Ball with my Copic markers, used my Scan N Cut 2 to cut her out and adhered her to my shaker. I added a greeting from Jaded Blossom and my card was done!!

I think it turned out so pretty!!
