You Make Life Blissful

Hi everyone!
Happy Monday!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and got some projects done during Dr. Phil Scraps Online Crop :)

Today I get to show you another project for Dr. Phil Scraps!
I am going to show you a card that I made using just some of the basics....cardstock, stickers and a little bit of ribbon. No cricut or stamping.

For my card, I dug into my cardstock and some stickers from the
I made an A2 size card base and added a white layer and then a black layer.
I used one of the fun borders from the For Always Stickease assortment (X7165C) and adhered that to my top black layer. Then I took that wonderful sentiment and attached some foam adhesive and popped that up to give it some dimension. I also did that with the small red heart. For a finishing touch, I simply tied a little red bow and glued that to the top of my sentiment. Super easy and quick card and can be easily mass produced in no time at all.

Here is a close up of some of the stickers:

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Graduation Layout

If you are here for the Felicity's Be A Blessing Blog Hop, please click HERE

Happy Saturday!!
Today the Dr. Phil Scraps is having an online crop!
I hope you guys are having a great time cropping with us today
and getting a lot of projects knocked out.

I have a confession to make, I have really been slacking on my scrapbook layouts.
My son graduated from high school last year and I have yet to scrapbook any layouts of that special day.
I am so happy that Phil decided to do this crop cause it really got me thinking about that and I was able to put together this Graduation layout.

I kept it pretty simple since I want the pictures of the happy day to be the main focus of my layout.
I cut my "GRAD" as well as the "2012" out of the Varsity Letter Cricut Lite Cartridge at 1.75"each.
The "Class of" was cut from the Wild Card Cricut Cartridge at 1.75" real dial size.

My little grad cap and diploma were some left over stickers from another project awhile back.

For my little banner strips, I simply cut out a piece of cardstock and hand cut the notch in the ends.
Before I adhered it down to my layout, I stamped little graduation caps on it from the
stamp set titled KUDOS, which can be found in the Cricut Artriste Collection (Z1790).

My silver scallop border along the bottom was made by simply punching out 1" circles from the gorgeous silver card stock in the Black & Grey Glitter Paper (Z1829) and adhering them on the backside of my white layer.

Thanks so much for cropping with us today!
If you are just now joining in on the fun, be sure to check out Dr. Phil's FB fan page for all the details.

I hope you have a fabulous crafty day!

Felicity's Be A Blessing Blog Hop!

Felicity's Be A Blessing Blog Hop!!

Welcome to Felicity's Be A Blessing Blog Hop!!

Today we are celebrating a very special little girl's first birthday. She has had a difficult fight this past year and we felt what better way to celebrate her life than have a blog hop!

Felicity has touched so many lives even though she is not even one yet. Every day she makes therapists, doctors, and even her family smile.

If you arrived from Lucy's blog, then you are in the right place. If you just happened to stumble across the hop on my blog today and would like to start at the beginning, then hop on over and see Shawnee's blog.

For my project, I decided to thank someone who is a blessing to me every single day. My husband.
He is such a hard worker, always makes sure we all have what we need, helps out our neighbors whenever he is needed (even if he is so tired he can't stay awake), always puts his family before himself, is so supportive and encouraging to all of us and is my biggest fan. He is just an all around great guy and I wanted to do something special for him to show him just how much we love and appreciate him so I made him a little gift.

For my card, I simply made an A2 sized card turned so it opens sideways. My patterned paper is from the Breeze 6x6 pad by My Mind's Eye. My sentiment came from the Silhouette online store and I added a little bit of glossy accents to the heart in "YOU". Inside the card is a personal letter to him letting him know just how much he means to me and how thankful I am for him.

For my gift bag, I simply took a plain white gift bag and decorated the front with some of the same patterned papers. The light bulb die cut also came from the Silhouette online store and there is also some glossy accents in the middle of that heart as well. My lightbulb container was found at AC Moore and I thought it went perfectly with this project. It is filled with some Lemon Drop candies, my hubby loves candy!

I love how my project turned out and I am looking forward to giving it to my hubby.

I also have some blog candy for one lucky follower.
One follower of my blog will win the prize pictured below:
You are all blessings to me!
I appreciate all your lovely comments on my projects and they put a smile on my face whenever I read them. Thank you!
To be eligible for my blog candy that I am giving away
1. Be a follower of my blog

Use It Tuesday #54---Flowers For Mom

Happy Tuesday!!

Are you guys ready for another wonderful challenge from Use It Tuesday?

Use It Tuesday is a challenge blog dedicated to getting you to use some of those hoarded supplies.
One of the requirements when you link up is to let us know in your post about the item/items you used.

Challenge #54 is all about Flowers For Mom.
So let's see those projects that incorporate flowers, mom's or both.

I created a Mother's Day card that also includes some flowers.

I wanted my card to be very elegant and classy, so I went with a white on white scheme with a little touch of smokey blue here and there. I embossed my top white layer with a cuttlebug folder as well as punching with a border punch along the bottom of the top white layer. I added a wide ribbon with bow and then attached that layer onto my card base. I then used my spellbinders labels 4 dies to create a focal point for my sentiment. Those flowers have been in my stash for at least 3 years! I am so glad I was able to use some of them for this project. I hoard flowers like crazy lol! I finished off my card with a few pearls.

I hope you will head over to Use It Tuesday and join us on this fun challenge!
We would love to see what you create!
While you are over there, don't forget to take a look at the fabulous creations made by my wonderful design team sisters. They never dissapoint :)

Happy Cake Day!

Hi everyone!
Happy Monday!
I hope your weekend was fabulous!

Today I would like to share a card with you that I made for the challenge going on over at

I am having a lot of fun playing along with these sketches and luckily I was able to put this one together and enter it before the challenge ends tomorrow.

Here is the sketch for STB #14:

and here is the feminine birthday card that I created based off of the above sketch:

I bought that darling Penny Black stamp while I was on vacation last month and was so excited to actually be able to use her. I think she is adorable!
I don't know how clearly you can see it, but I added some glitter to the hair bow as well as the wings and cupcake to give my card a little sparkle.

Our Day Layout

Hi Everyone!
I hope your Saturday is off to a great start!

Today I am here to show you a wedding double page layout using those awesome CTMH products for
Dr. Phil Scraps.

This double page layout will fit one 5x7 picture and two 4x6 pictures. Plus there is a tab for a date and a journaling block. Aren't those papers gorgeous? I used the For Always paper packet (X7165B). Not only are there gorgeous patterns, but there is also solid papers to coordinate.

I also used some stickers from the For Always My Stickease Assortment (X7165C).
My flowers, title, date tab, bride & groom as well as the journal block and little heart all came from this set.  Here are some close-ups:

I added some foam adhesive (leave the liner on) to the light gray and dark gray roses and then lightly dusted them with baby powder to remove the sticky from the sticker, I then pulled off my liner on my foam adhesive so that I could give a little dimension by popping up a few of the flowers onto the page.

I love that little bride and groom sticker! So pretty!
I added a little heart from the sticker sheet onto the journal block for just a little extra pop of color.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look!

Thanks So Much!

Hi Everyone!
Happy Thursday!

Today I get to share with you another project using that awesome

I decided to make a Thank You card to have on hand.
I kept it pretty simple yet elegant.
I made those awesome flowers by simply turning the CANDi over and adhering in a circular pattern until it was the size that I wanted. After I had the size that I wanted, I simply placed a CANDi in the center right side up. I attached some leaves to the back using a Martha Stewart punch and Voila! Beautiful flowers that I think make quite an impact. I finished off my card with a little bow in the upper right hand corner.

Here is a close up of the flowers:

For my project I used the Patchwork CANDi:
There are so many great colors and patterns in the CANDi line!

Helicopter Birthday Card

Hi everyone!
I hope your weekend has been going well.
I was able to sit in my craft area last night and create a card for a challenge.
I ran across a blog named Seize The Birthday awhile back but have not gotten to play along with their challenges until now.
Seize the Birthday is a challenge blog that focuses on making birthday cards for girls one week and boys the following week. How cool right? Oh and did I mention that it is also a sketch challenge? Yeah buddy!
I love sketches!

Anywho, enough of my rambling and let me show you the card that I created for this weeks sketch lol

Here is the sketch from Seize the Birthday:

and here is the card that I created based on the above sketch:

This week is all about birthday cards for boys/men. I couldn't wait to get out my new paper pad from Echo Park titled Scoot and play along. It has so many great boy papers!
My helicopter die cut was found in the silhouette store and matched my paper perfectly!

Recipe Box

Hi everyone!
Any crafting plans this weekend?
Today I get  to show you another fun project using CTMH stamps for Dr. Phil Scraps!

Awhile back I picked up a plain recipe box from my local craft store.
Well, I am a crafter so I can't have anything plain so I decided to alter it with a Rooster theme. :)

I cut my rooster out of the From My Kitchen cricut cartridge at 3.5". The "recipes" oval on the top of the box was also cut out of the From My Kitchen cricut cartridge at 3.5".
To cover my box, I used some Champagne Cardstock (X5931) and inked all my edges.
See that chicken wire stamp border?? How perfect is that stamp for this project?? That came from the

There are a total of three border stamps on the Distressed Backgrounds (D1544) set, and they are all fabulous and distressed.

Here is a close up of my stamping so that you can see some of the distressing:

Hi Friend Box Card

Hi guys!
It's almost the weekend!! Yay!!

There is a FB group titled Play Along that my good friend Janis of Pause Dream Enjoy created.

One of the challenges going on right now is to create a box card.
You can find the video tutorial on how to make a box card by clicking HERE.

Here is the card that I created:

Here is the card opened laying flat:

Opened standing up:

And finally, a picture of the card with the insert showing. I did not adhere this down yet. After I write my message to the recipient, then all I will have to do is simply adhere and mail :) In the meantime, the insert is just being loosely stored inside the card so that I don't lose it.

Use It Tuesday #53---Sticky Situation

Hi friends!
Are you guys ready for another great challenge starting today at

Use It Tuesday is a challenge blog dedicated to getting you to use of some of those hoarded items. :)

Challenge #53 is a Sticky Situation
Rub-ons, stickers, embossing

Here is the card that I created for the challenge:

While I was going through my stickers, I ran across these white shimmer stickers (everything in white is a sticker) and knew I wanted to use them on my project. Even though they are stickers, they give the appearance of wet embossing. I love that! (I loved that when I bought them 5 years ago lol!)

Here are my hoarded supplies used for this card:
  • Stickers have been in my stash for at least 5 years, possibly longer. Used them for the first time on this card.
  • Ribbon was bought over 9 months ago and used for the first time on this project.
Do you have any embossing powder that has been neglected? Stickers that have long been forgotten about? Rub-on's that are in need of a project to go on? If so, we would love it if you joined us and played along with the challenge at Use It Tuesday!

You can find all the details as well as see the amazing creations my wonderful DT sisters came up with at the Use It Tuesday challenge blog!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today and looking at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!
I hope you have a fabulous crafty day!

A Note For You

Hi Everyone!
I hope your weekend is off to a great start!

Today I am here to show you another project using those awesome CTMH products for
Dr. Phil Scraps!

Today I am going to show you a super simple card that I made using some stamps from CTMH.

I love having cards on hand that I can send out on a whim, no occasion needed.
When I saw these music note stamps, I thought they would be perfect for a "note"card.
hehe!

Anyway, onto the details of my card. I used a stamp from the Universal Backgrounds (D1477) set and stamped directly onto my card base. I then cut a 2.5" square out of black card stock and layered it with a 1.75" square of white card stock. After my layers were adhered, I stamped the "A Note For You..." greeting which can be found on the Just For You (B1398) stamp set. I then centered that onto my card base and adhered with some foam adhesive for a little lift. For my flower, I used my Artiste Cricut Cartridge (Z1790) and cut out the flower on page 44 at 2". Once in real dial size and once without real dial size turned on. I then took the coordinating flower stamp that you can find in the Hello Blooms (C1540) stamp set and stamped each flower. I attached them together with a rhinestone brad and then adhered that to my center square with some foam adhesive. To finish off my card, I added some cute and fun black and white polka dot ribbon and a bow.

Here is a close up of the stamping:

I am in love with the distressed look of the background stamp!
I really like how my card turned out and it was so simple to make that it would be super easy to mass produce, if needed.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!
