MCT 30th Release Blog Hop!

Today I would like to show you a little home decor item that I made that features stamps from the new set titled, Bracket Sentiments

I'm not sure if I am dating myself here, but I was inspired by a picture frame. My mom used to have these picture frames that were in our house that were brass frames and trifolds. I got to thinking about it the other day and thought, I wonder if I can do that with paper? It was really pretty easy. I simply cut my cardstock to 8.5" x 10.5" and then scored at 3.5" & 7" along the vertical and then scored again at 5.5" along the horizontal. I folded the 5.5" score line up to create a flap and then proceeded to fold a trifold along the vertical score lines. Once I had that all folded, I put some score tape on the right and left edge of each flap. The middle pocket has no adhesive since the folds are there to hold the tags in.

I will be putting this on my bedroom dresser, so I thought it would be fun to give it a little mini album feel. I cut out some tags from the Stitched Round Tab, Arrow & Tag Dies set as well as the Tag Dies so that I could put some pictures of me and my hubby on them and then be able to journal on the smaller tags. 

To decorate the front, I used the Rolled Flower die to create the yellow rose. I then used the Curly Label die as well as the Stitched Curly Label Die and then Stamped "You + Me" from the NEW Bracket Sentiments stamp set. I popped it up with some foam adhesive so that I could place some stick pins behind it and finish it off with a bow. For my left panel, I used the largest Stitched Chevy Die and just trimmed off the point to give it a banner feel and then stamped "Funny" and "Silly", also from the Bracket Sentiments stamp set. For the right panel, I did pretty much the same thing, except I cut off the opposite end and stamped "Crazy" & "Fun". I used some hearts from the Stitched Heart Layering Dies as well as some hearts from the Stitched Sweetheart & XOXO Die set. Added some pearls & ribbons and Voila!

Day 4 of the Feb. MCT Sneak Peeks!!

Today we are giving you a sneak peek of 

Fun Gift Pocket Sentiment & Tag Gift Pocket Die

I decided to make a fun little birthday gift:

To make my candy bar holder, I cut out 2 of the trifold cards from the Card Sentiments stamp set w/ 3x3 trifold card die. I cut the bottom panel off of one of the cards, that way the one that was going on the front was shorter. I then scored 1/4" down each side on both cards as well as 1/4" along the bottom of both. Once it was scored, I simply folded along the lines to form a sort of "box" to hold the candy bar. After I adhered it together, I started decorating. I used the NEW Tag Gift Pocket Die so that I could put a gift card onto the front of my box. Isn't that HB2U! the cutest?? That comes from the NEW Fun Gift Pocket Sentiments set!! The balloons and that cute little banner come from an oldie but goodie called, Stitched Party Dies.

Today we are giving you a sneak peek of

"Hello Chickie" & the "Stitched Grass Die"

Here is the card that I made:

I decided to make a Easter card. I'm so ready for spring and all it brings! Flowers blooming, green grass, pastel colors, all of it! I used the *NEW* Stitched Grass Die and cut out my grass 3 different times so that I could layer them for some extra dimension. I then simply tucked my Easter basket from the *New* Hello Chickie set behind the grass and added a couple of eggs. The chocolate bunny was cut out using the small bunny found in the All Around Holidays set. I stamped my sentiment, also from the *NEW* Hello Chickie set,  and then heat embossed it with some pink embossing powder. I cut my cute little bow out of some fun foam using the Small Stitched Scalloped Bow Die.

With St. Patrick's Day right around the corner, this set is perfect!!

I decided to make a little Pot Of Gold with some Rolo candies acting as the gold hehe!

I cut my little pot out from a file that I found in the silhouette online store then set to work on embellishing it using those fabulous My Creative Time Products!

I think it came out adorable and I have one St. Patty's Day gift ready to give.

I have a feeling that since it is filled to the brim with candy, my hubby will be calling "dibs" on this one too! lol!

Today I will be showing you a sneak peek of the

 NEW "Bracket Sentiments" and the NEW "Bracket Dies"

I decided to make some project life sized cards. I have yet to start project life but I am thinking about it lol! I think the size of these cards is not only perfect for project life but also as journaling spots for a mini album, a scrapbook layout or even as an embellishment for a card front. 

I love the fun sayings on the NEW "Bracket Sentiments" stamp set and the brackets from the NEW "Bracket Dies" are super fun!!

For this card, I also wanted to include that adorable little Fun Paper Airplane Die that was released last month.

For this card, I thought it would be cute to add that the little Stitched Camera Die, with a little heart added from the Stitched Sweetheart & XOXO die set.

Now, I have a matching set of journaling spots for when I need them and My Creative Time products made them so easy and so adorable!!

My Creative Time Tag It Tuesday!

Hi there and Happy Tuesday!!

Today over at the My Creative Time blog, it is Tag It Tuesday!

We will be showing you tags with any type of theme today.

Here is the tag that I created:

I thought it would be great to have a tag on hand that would fit a variety of different occasions. 

For my tag, I used the Tag Dies for my base. I then made a pretty yellow rose using the Rolled Flower Die. I love that die! Makes flower making so easy and they always come out looking great! For my sentiment, I used a phrase from the Turn That Frown Upside Down stamp set and stamped it onto a piece of patterned paper that I cut out using the Stitched Curly Label Die and then layered that onto a piece that I cut out using the Curly Label Die. I finished off my tag with some pearls going along the top edge and some denim ribbon. To keep my ribbon in place, I threaded some twine through a button and tied it into a little bow.

I think it came out so beautiful! I love the country feel that it has :)

Ice Cream Shaped Card

Today I am here to show you a simple shaped card

that showcases some of that awesome Hallo-Mesh Mama's Mesh as well as some gorgeous I Love Grunge Rumple Ribbon from LoveBug Creations!

I cut my ice cream shaped card out from a file that I found in the Silhouette Online Store. I wanted the bottom of my cone, to have texture like a real cone would have, so I simply ran the bottom of my cone through my sticker maker and then laid the Mama's Mesh on top. I trimmed up the excess mesh and then sprinkled some baby powder over the top to make the exposed adhesive not sticky anymore. Before I adhered the top of my cone to my card base, I tied some of that gorgeous I Love Grunge Rumple Ribbon and tied a bow. I embossed my ice cream with my swiss dots embossing folder and then topped it off with a cherry button.

My Creative Time Thrifty Thursday!!

Hi friends!

Happy Thursday!!

Today over at the My Creative Time blog, it is Thrifty Thursday!

This is the day that the DT creates projects made from scraps or recycled items. 

I decided to pull out some scraps and make a fun little birthday card.

All of my patterned papers as well as the white and kraft cardstock were from my scrap pile. 

For my card, I used the Stitched Capture Frame with Arrow die set to create a little frame for my card front. To create my little scene, and to get the most out of my scraps, I paper pieced that cute little branch, owl and balloons from the Birthday Buddies stamp set.  My little banner was cut out using the 4x4 Journal Die + More set. My bow was also made from some ribbon scraps!! To finish off my bow, I added a little button from the Stitched Button Die set and a little twine bow. 

I even had enough of the scraps left over to create another banner to put on the inside of my card:

The Happy Birthday also came from the Birthday Buddies stamp set. 

I had a lot of fun making this card, not to mention I was so happy to be able to use up some of those scraps that I always seem to keep :)

MCT Whatever Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!!

Today over at the My Creative Time blog, it is Whatever Wednesday!

For whatever Wednesday, we can create anything we would like to create using those fabulous My Creative Time Stamps and Dies!

I decided to make some Valentine Cards to send to my daughter and her friends to go along with her Valentine treats that I had made for them.

I actually made four of these, one for each, but only took a picture of my daughters.

To make my card, I used the Surprise Pop-Out card die for my card base. This die makes it so easy to make super fun cards for any occasion. My cute little banner in the top left corner of my card is from the 4x4 Journal Die + More Die set. I simply cut my banner to fit in the corner. For my sentiment on my card front, I used a sentiment from the Puffy Hearts Just For You stamp set. Once I stamped it with VersaMark, I embossed it with some Silver embossing powder. Those cute little gray hearts were punched out using the Stitched Heart Layering Dies. 

When they open the card, there is a little treat waiting for them:

The "and you are!" came from the Puffy Hearts Just For You Stamp Set and the "Happy Valentine's Day" came from the You Had Me At Chocolate Stamp Set. I left a little banner blank so that I could write a little message and sign it.

Mama's Mesh Valentine Card

Happy Mama's Mesh Monday!!

Today I get to show you my project that uses that awesome Mama's Mesh!

With Valentine's Day just a few days away, I have a clean and simple card that packs a punch with the help of Mama's Merry Mesh!

For my card, I used some heart dies from My Creative Time and positioned them onto the top layer of my card. Once I had them all cut out, I simply adhered some Merry Mama's Mesh behind each heart. Once I had the mesh adhered, I added a little scallop border along one side. Then, I simply added a white piece of card stock to the back to give it a little more stability and then popped up the layer onto my card base with some foam adhesive. Added some bling to the scallops and voila! Easy, simple card but so pretty at the same time!

MCT--Whatever Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!! It's almost the weekend! Woot Woot!!

Today over at the My Creative Time blog, it is Whatever Wednesday!

For whatever Wednesday, we can create anything we would like to create using those fabulous My Creative Time Stamps and Dies!

I decided to make a little treat holder for Valentine's Day since that day is drawing near.

For my tube holder, I followed a tutorial that I found HERE. I modified mine just a bit by using a piece of 4 x 12 cardstock so that it stood taller in the back. Once I had my holder built, it was time to start decorating :) For the front of my holder, I used the XOXO die and some of the hearts from the Stitched Sweetheart & XOXO die set. I love how the XOXO hangs off of the sides just a bit! For my small hearts, I used the 4x4 Journal Die + More set. Then I simply added a little bling in the opposite corners. For my tube, I filled it with some ROLO candies.  I added a thin strip of patterned paper to the lid and then tied some ribbon around the top of the tube. I then used a heart from the Stitched Button Dies to thread some twine through so that I could have the medium sized heart from the Stitched Sweetheart & XOXO set dangle.  (My wonderful DT sister Teri, made some bookmarks with some dangling hearts and I knew I wanted to incorporate that into this project. You can see her post on how she did that by clicking HERE.) My sentiment came from the Puffy Hearts Just For You Stamp Set. 

For the top of my tube, I used a circle punch and then added another heart button from the Stitched Button Dies and tied a little twine bow. 

I love how this project turned out! My hubby was home when I was making it and already called "dibs" on the candy lol!
