Trick Or Treat

Happy Wednesday!

Today I would like to share with you one last Halloween project from me for this year. 

I can't believe it is almost Halloween! Before we know it, Christmas will be upon us! 

For my projects today, I made 2 candy boxes to give to my kiddos.

I cut out each box from a file that I found in the Silhouette Store titled, 3D Scallop Label Decorative Gift Box (design id#66531). Once I added my patterned papers, I got to work building those awesome skulls from KaDoodle Bug Designs. For my son's box, I used the Boy Skull and added just a few enamel dots to the upper right corner of the box. For my daughter's box, I used the Girly Skull and added some iridescent sequins randomly onto the box front. Both skulls were popped up with some foam adhesive. Once my box was built, I filled a goodie bag with some candies and tied it off with some black ribbon. I added some fun tags using the Teeny Tag Greetings and Teeny Tag Holidays from My Creative Time.

My Creative Time: Scrapping The Little Things

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and enjoyed the hop!!

Today at the My Creative Time blog, it is Scrapping The Little Things.

This is the day that we create a scrapbook page, smash book page or a project life page. 

Today we are showing you layouts based on the following sketch:

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching here in the States, I decided to make a few cards for a Project Life layout. 

I made 2 PL cards that are 4x6. I based each card off of the above sketch. For the card on the left, I left the sketch as is and for the card on the right, I flipped it sideways. Since I don't have the pictures yet, I figured this might be the easiest since I don't know which card will work for my particular picture yet. For my bases, I used the Stitched 4x6 Journal Die and for the photo area, I used the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die. My leaves were cut from the A Thankful Heart set. I stamped the Give Thanks from the A Thankful Heart set onto a banner from the Trio Stitched Banners set. The Grateful also came from the A Thankful Heart set and I stamped it onto one of the banners from the Stitched Decorative Banners. My leaves and my banners are glued down only on one end so that I can easily slip a photo underneath the elements that hang over onto the photo mat. 

I decided that I would also make two smaller cards by using the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die. For my journal card, I used one of the stamps from the Journal It! set as well as another leaf from the A Thankful Heart set. For my plaid card, I cut a circle out of the middle by using a circle from the Bunch Of Fun Circles dies and placed a pumpkin, made from the Seasonal Greetings set, into the center.

Today I will be showcasing two of the new stamp sets called:

Seasonal Greetings & Whimsical Trees.

For my project, I decided to get a jump start on some Christmas packaging. I found this plain little kraft colored box at Target in the dollar section. They came 2 in a pack and I thought I would embellish one of them and make it a little more festive.

I decorated each side of the box by placing one of the circles from the Bunch Of Fun Circle Dies popped up onto some patterned paper. I then cut out the pine tree from the Seasonal Greetings set and stamped the fun pine tree outline from the Whimsical Trees set onto it. The star on top of my tree came from the 4x4 Journal Die + More set. My tree also got popped up with some foam adhesive and I added a few pieces of bling so it would have little sparkle under the lights of the tree.  

For the top of my box, I tied it closed with some pink sheer ribbon and attached a tag that I made by using the Stitched Round Tab, Arrow & Tag Dies. I cut out the "MERRY" as well as the swoosh from the Boughs Of Holly set and then embellished it with a few rhinestones. 

In case I use this gift box to wrap a neighbor's gift, I decided to also make a little matching card to go along with it. For my card, I also used the Bunch Of Fun Circle Dies as well as the Seasonal Greetings and Whimsical Trees.

MCT's 37th Edition Sneak Peeks Day 4

Today we are giving you a sneak peek of 2 new sets called 

Oh Deer & Christmas Doggie

I have two projects to share with you today. First up is a card that I made using the new set called Oh Deer.  For this card, I used the largest rectangle from the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More set to cut out my plaid paper. I then used the Stitched 3x4 Journal Die for my snowflake layer. I created a snowy hill by using one of the edges from the Fun Stitched Edges and added a bit of glitter to give it more of a sparkly snowy feel. Those cute little deer came from the new Oh Deer set as well as the greeting. I added a bow using the Small Stitched Scalloped Bow die and placed a button in the center. I added a pearl in each corner as well as to the deer noses. I couldn't help myself, I just had to make one of them Rudolf :) hehehe

For my second project, I decided to make a tag to attach to one of the gifts for our furbaby, Chief, this Christmas. I used the Tag Dies and the Tag Die Layers to create my tag base. I then used the rectangle from the Love To Learn set to stamp my image onto. That little doggy from the Christmas Doggy set with his Santa hat is just the cutest! I stamped that adorable greeting, also from the Christmas Doggy set, onto the banner from the Vintage Stitched Label Dies and heat embossed it with some white embossing powder. I added the hole reinforcer from the Stitched Round Tab, Arrow & Tag Dies and threaded my ribbon through. I left my ribbon extra long so that I had plenty to attach it to the gift and then trim. I think it turned out so cute!

Today we are giving you a sneak peek of a set called 

Winter Cheer.

There are so many super cute sayings as well as dies in this set. 

I made a A2 center panel card. I used one of the circles from the Bunch Of Fun Circle Dies so that those cute little mittens from the new Winter Cheer set could be the focal point of my card. Aren't they precious?? My sentiment also came from the new Winter Cheer set and I stamped it onto an oval I cut out using the Stitched Oval Die. Those adorable snowflakes are also from the new Winter Cheer set. This set is a must have! It is so darling! I added some bling and some ribbon to finish of my card.

This release is absolutely amazing!!

Today we are giving you a sneak peek of  2 new sets called:

Whimsical Trees & Seasonal greetings.

I love the fun trees in these sets so I decided to make a fun, almost whimsical card that I could send to someone, no occasion needed :) 

For my card, I created my hill by using one of the edges from the Fun Stitched Edges set. I then cut out my trees from some patterned papers using the fun new Seasonal Greetings set. Those fun round doodles on my tree tops came from the new Whimsical Trees set. I finished off my card by adding that sweet sentiment from the new Seasonal Greetings set as well as some hearts also from that set, some ribbon, sequins, faux stitching and a small heart from the 4x4 Journal Die + More set. For a fun touch I rounded the top left corner of my base and layers.

MCT: Tag It Tuesday

Hi there and happy Tuesday!!

Today over at the My Creative Time blog, it is Tag It Tuesday!

We will be showing you tags that use the following picture for our inspiration.

Here is the tag that I made based on the above photo:

I was inspired by that awesome Halloween photo as well as the colors. I used the Tag Die Layers as well as the Tag Dies to create the base of my tag. My grass came from the Stitched Grass Die and I cut it out twice so that I could nestle that cute little pumpkin from the Treats For My Sweet set in between the layers of grass. I added a witch hat to my pumpkin using the Wicked Fun Dies. My bats and greeting also came from the Wicked Fun Dies set. For my moon, I used one of the circles from the Bunch Of Fun Circle Dies and my sentiment is stamped onto a label from the Chunky Jar Accessories set. I decided to leave one set of ribbon tails extra long so that I could easily tie it to the packaging and then trim it after it was tied.
