Happy We're Friends!

Hi everyone and happy Saturday!

Today starts a new challenge over at the Di's Digi Designs Challenge Blog! Yay!

You don't need to use a Di's Digi image or even a digital stamp to enter the challenge though, as long as you follow the theme. You can find more about the rules and requirements on the challenge blog.

The challenge that started today is....
"Lots of Layers"

Here is a look at the project that I created:

How cute is that little bear looking up at his caterpillar friend?
I used some papers that I've had in my stash for a few years from Elle's Studio to create the layers on my card front. I took 3 different patterns and die cut them out with a stitched rectangle die. Next, I trimmed them down to varying widths and layered them on top of each other. I used a border punch to create a little pink scallop to act as a divider between the polka dot and graph paper. I added some crochet thread before popping up the patterned paper layer onto my card base with foam tape. I colored that sweet image, Happiness Is A Beary Daisy*, with my Copic markers and trimmed it down. I distressed the outside perimeter to give just a little bit of visual interest and adhered it to my card front. I finished my card by popping up my sentiment strip with more foam tape and adding a little bow onto my thread. So cute!!

Copic Colors Used:
--Bear: E40, E41, E42, E43, R00, R20--
--Shirt: R81, R85--
--Flower: YG25, YG17, Y11, Y15, Y18, C0, C1--
--Caterpillar: G21, YG61--

I would like to play along with the following challenges:

Sending Wishes...

Hi crafty friends!
I hope you are doing well!

Today I'm popping in real quick to share a simple, but cute, card that I made for a few challenges.
The challenges that I am entering are:
&

Here is a look at the card that I created:

When I saw the above sketch, I knew I wanted to create a little window with my heart shape. I cut four different patterned papers and adhered them onto a piece of scrap cardstock, alternating the patterns. I used a stitched rectangle to cut out my front panel from some white cardstock. Once I had that cut, I ran it through my die cut machine again, using a stitched heart to create my window. I popped up my window piece with foam tape onto my patterned paper strips and then adhered that to a white A2 top folding card. I stamped my sentiment onto a piece of light gray cardstock and very carefully fussy cut it out so that I could keep the wavy shape of the sentiment. I adhered that to the card, making sure to put a little piece of foam tape in the center of the sentiment strip so that it didn't get crushed when going through the mail. I stamped my little mouse with some black memento ink and did some quick coloring with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut it out and popped it up with more foam tape. I completed my card with a little pearl heart in the middle of the dandelion & a few sequins just to add a little sparkle.
This turned out so simple and I LOVE it!!

Copic Colors Used:
--Mouse: W0, W1, W3, R000, R00, R20--
--Dandelion: YG03, Y13--

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today and taking a look at my latest creation!

Happy Spring!

The challenge that started today is....
"Welcome Spring"

Here is a look at the project that I created:

Isn't this image, Izzy's Spring Walk*, just the sweetest?
My card was pretty simple to make. I started by creating a top folding white A2 card and layering some pretty floral patterned paper on top that I had die cut using a scallop rectangle die. I cut a strip of pink paper from the patterned paper stack and adhered that on top of my floral paper, making sure it reached all the way across to the card edges. I printed out the Izzy's Spring Walk* onto a piece of white Hammermill paper and colored it with my Copic markers. Once I had it colored in, I used a stitched die to cut it out. I knew I was going to add a bow so I stamped my greeting off to one side so that my bow didn't interfere too much with being able to read the greeting. I added my image panel to my card front and added some pink enamel dots and some details with a white gel pen to complete my card.
I think this turned out so simple and sweet!

Copic colors used:
--Skin: E50, E51, E21, E04, R00, R20--
--Hair: E21, E23, E25--
--Clothes: C00, C0, C1, R81, R83, R85--
--Shoes: C2, C3, C4, C6, C8--
--Flowers: YG03, C0, Y15--
--Ducks: YR23, Y11. Y13, R20--
--Goose: W0, W1, YR24, R20--

Happiest of Holidays!

 Hi everyone!
Happy Thursday!
(or happy whatever day it is that you've stumbled across this post lol!)

Today I wanted to pop in and share a card that I created with a couple of challenges in mind.
The challenges that I will be entering are:
&

Here is a look at the Christmas card that I created:

I've had this Christmas Crew Boy Elf die in my stash for at least two years and never used it until now!
Yay for using my stash!! Go me!! lol!

I created my card by creating a white A2 top folding card base and layering a white scallop on top. I used a snowflake embossing folder to emboss onto some white cardstock and trimmed it down to fit within the stitching lines of my scallop rectangle. I created my little Elf, using a mix of cardstock and patterned papers, stamping my sentiment on the cuff of his little hat. I glued my Elf onto the front of my card and used to snowflake sequins and white Nuvo drops to complete the look.

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look at my latest creation!
I really appreciate it!
I hope you have a great crafty day!

Just Bee-Cause!

Hi crafty friends!
I hope you are having a fabulous day so far!
The sun is shining bright and I'm enjoying looking out my window and listening to the birds chirp while I write this post.

I wanted to pop in real quick and share a card that I was able to make yesterday, inspired by a few challenges. The challenges that I would like to play along with are:
&

Here is a look at the card that I created:

I loved that sketch and this stamp set from Sunny Studio immediately came to mind when I saw it!
I started by creating a white A2 top folding card base and popping up a white scallop rectangle on top with foam tape. I cut some small strips of patterned paper and added them to my card front. I stamped my images using some black Memento ink and colored them with my Copic markers. I used the coordinating die to cut them out and popped them up onto my circle pieces. I stamped my greeting onto a piece of patterned paper and tucked it under my circle focal point. To finish my card, I used an older SU! punch to cut out my leafy "branch" and adhered that, being sure to tuck it behind the bee hive.
Those little bees are just so cute!

Copic Colors Used:
--Beehive: Y18, Y19, Y26, E33, E35--
--Bees: Y11, Y13, Y15, C6, BG000, BG0000--

Spring Is Here!

Hi everyone!
I hope you are having a fabulous day so far!
The sun is out, after a few days of nothing but rain, so no complaints from me lol!

I wanted to stop in and share a fun little goody box that I made with Easter in mind.

I had so much fun making this!
I started by using the Octagon treat Box and Octagon Easter Add Ons to create my little box. I cut my box pieces out using Kraft cardstock, trimmed a bit off of the top and then inked up the lattice piece with some Vintage Photo distress Ink for a little depth. I used some fun patterned paper from Doodlebug to create my Scallop, bow, grass and eggs. I popped up the Scallop piece with some foam tape along the bottom of the Scallops so that it would be easier to tuck in the grass, eggs and chocolate bunny. I die cut some flowers and leaves, added them to the front of the basket and finished them with a little pearl to each of the flower centers. I stamped my sentiment and used a label die to cut it out, popping it up with more foam tape onto the front of the basket. I added a little bow to the basket handle to complete the look of my little Easter basket.

I added some Easter grass and a few little pieces of candy to the inside. I think this turned out so cute and it was really quick to make! I might make a few more to have on the table for our family Easter dinner place settings. How cute would that be??

I would like to play along with the following challenges:

Hoppy Easter!

Hi everyone and happy Saturday!

I have a fun card to share with you today that I created using a new stamp set from

To create my card, I started by covering my white A2 cardbase with some plaid patterned paper. Next, I cut a strip of white cardstock and used an embossing folder for some subtle polka dots. I die cut a white scallop frame and adhered it to a piece of vellum, placing some blue patterned paper behind the vellum to soften the sky just a bit. I die cut a strip of grass and sandwiched it between the frame and vellum and added it to my card front with foam tape. I stamped the images from the Hoppy Easter stamp set with some Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with my Copic markers. I fussy cut them out and tucked them behind the grass to complete my scene. I stamped my greeting onto a piece of the blue patterned paper using some Versamark ink and heat embossed it using some white embossing powder. I popped it up onto my card with more foam tape and added some doodles to the eggs with a white gel pen.

How sweet are those bunnies peeking out of the basket??
