Cupcake Crate

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday!

Today is my day to post over at the Jaded Blossom blog and I wanted to share with you a fun little goody box that also doubles as the birthday card that I made for my daughter!

Here is a look at what I created:

I created my cupcake by using the Cupcake Slider Die and some fun patterned papers from Doodlebug, along with some solid Brown and White cardstock. Once I had my cupcake built, I used the So Many Birthdays 4 and stamped my sentiment using some Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I cut it out using the Label Shape Dies 2, added a little enamel heart and popped it up onto my cupcake with foam tape. I wrapped some crochet thread around and tied it off with a bow.

I used the Crate Die and made a little crate from white cardstock, attaching it to the back of my Cupcake Slider. How fun! This way I could have a birthday card and little candy surprise all rolled into one!

I used the Border Dies and cut a piece of brown cardstock to add a little decorative separation between the brown and white layers on the slider.

When you pull out the slider it reveals a sweet birthday message from the Nom Nom stamp set

Plenty of room to still be able to write a message to the recipient!
I love the Cupcake Slider Die and I think it makes the cutest shaped birthday cards!
Adorable!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today!
I appreciate it so much!
I hope you have a great crafty day!

Jaded Blossom's April Release Blog Hop

Hey Everyone!
If you're here from Lee'Ann's Blog you're in the right place, if you're just passing through be sure to start at the beginning because you don't want to miss a thing.  I also have the complete line up at the bottom.

Here is a look at what I made:

First up is a masculine birthday card made using some older die sets from Jaded Blossom along with the NEW Gnome Dies: Tools Add Ons, Nailed It Stamp Set and Nailed It Outline Dies.
I started by creating a white top folding A2 card from white cardstock and doodling around the perimeter with a black Micron pen. I die cut two rectangles using the Rectangle Dies 2 from two different gray cardstocks. I added a bit of doodling and then adhered them to my card front. I built my little handy man using the Gnome Dies & Gnome Dies: Tool Add Ons and popped him up onto my card with foam tape. I stamped my greeting from the Nailed It Stamp set & used the coordinating Nailed It Outline Dies to cut it out. I popped it up onto my card with foam tape and lightly inked around the perimeter of my card base with some black soot distress ink to complete my card.

Next, I decided to make a fun little treat and gift card holder to go along with my card.

So cute!
I used the Crate die and cut it from red cardstock. I placed a piece of black cardstock on the inside to cover the crate openings and placed some thin gray strips to act as the drawer pulls. I cut pieces of cardstock to cover the sides and the back of my box. I cut a piece of cardstock 3 1/8" x 6" & did a little scoring to create my lid. I will place all the dimensions of the pieces I cut below. There is also a quick video showing how I did it. I added a little handle to the top and some tools from the Gnome Dies: Tool Add Ons to decorate my little box. To keep it closed, I added a small bit of velcro.

Inside the box, I added some black paper shred, a gift card and some little chocolate candies that I covered using gray cardstock, the Tool Stencil and Candy Wrap Dies.

I think this is such a cute little set to give to your favorite Handyman!

Cardstock Cuts for the Tool Box:
--2 pieces of red cut using the Crate Die
--Black Piece (for the inside front) cut at 3" x 2 1/8"
-- 4 Gray drawer pulls cut at 2 3/4" x 1/8"
--Red piece for outside back cut at 3" x 2 1/8"
--2 red pieces for the 2 sides each cut at 2 1/8" x 2 5/8"
--Handle from black cut at 3/8" x 3 3/4" scored at 1/2" and 1", flip and score the other side the same.
--1 piece of red for lid cut at 3" x 6" & scored on the 6" side at 2 3/4" & 5"
*note: my above tool box lid actually measures at 3 1/8" x 6".
However 3" or 3 1/8" both work, there will just be less of a gap with the 3 1/8"

Here is a look at what I created to share with you today:

I decided to make a little gift card holder for a thank you gift.
I used the Tool Stencil, along with some Distress Oxide Inks and created a fun background onto a piece of Kraft cardstock. Once I had everything stenciled the way I liked, I used the Paper Bag Die to cut it out to act as my gift card holder. I used the Fixing Everything Tag Stamp set to create my greeting and used one of the layering pieces from the Milk Carton Die to cut it out. I stamped the stand alone hammer from the Fixing Everything Stamp Set, did some simple Copic coloring and fussy cut it out. I popped up the hammer with foam tape and then popped up my sentiment focal piece with more foam tape onto the front of my paper bag. I finished it off by wrapping some twine around a few times and tying it off with a big bow.

I cut down a piece of scrap cardstock to fit inside the Paper Bag Die and then used the Gift Card Die to create the stitching and the notches to hold my gift card in place.

Here is a look at the card that I created to share with you today:

How fun is this little handy man gnome??
I created my card by making an A2 top folding card using Kraft cardstock. Next, I used the Card Mat Dies to cut some red cardstock and added that to my card base. I cut a piece of plaid patterned paper using the Card Layers Dies 2 and added that to the bottom of my card, separating the layers with a thin strip of navy blue cardstock. I used the Gnome Dies and Gnome Dies: Tool Add Ons to create my little handy man gnome. I popped him up using foam tape onto a mat that I created using the Ticket Book Dies. I stamped my sentiment from the Nailed It stamp set and used the Word Bubble Dies to cut it out. I did do a little creative die cutting with the Word Bubble Die to shorten it just a bit to fit my sentiment a little better. I popped it up with foam tape and added some little flat metal pieces around my mat to complete my card.
I think this would make a fun encouragement card, plus it's cute to boot! 😁

Here is a look at the card that I created to share with you today:

Fun right??
My hubby is a big Harley Davidson enthusiast so I just had to make a card with him in mind.
I started by creating my A2 top folding card using black cardstock and layering a piece of white on top that I cut out using the Card Mat Dies. I cut out a piece of orange plaid paper using the Card Mat Dies again, trimmed it down and added it to the bottom of my white layer. I used a small strip of black cardstock to act as a divider between the two layers. Next I used one of the Octagon Dies and ran it through twice, once on white and again in black. I fussy cut around the stitching lines on the white piece so that I could layer it on top of the black piece for a matted look. I inked around the edges with some black soot distress ink before adding it to my card. Now the fun part!! I used the Gnome dies and Gnome Dies: Motorcycle Add Ons to create my fun little biker. I had so much fun building him and created the bike in colors that represented my hubby's. I thought he would get a chuckle out of that! lol! Once I had him assembled, I added him to the center of my octagon piece. I used the Born To Ride Stamp set and stamped my sentiment using some Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I used the coordinating Born To Ride Outline dies to cut it out and popped it up under my gnome with some foam tape.

Here is a closer look at the sets being showcased today:

Jaded Blossom's April Color Challenge

 Hi everyone!

Today starts a new challenge over at the Jaded Blossom blog!!
With warmer months approaching, we would love to see your projects that use
Warm Colors!
(Red, Pink, Yellow, and Orange)
and of course some of those awesome Jaded Blossom stamps/dies!

Here is a look at my take on the challenge:

I used some distress oxide inks to create my background in the colors Fired Brick, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey. I did end up going in with a tiny bit of Squeezed Lemonade to brighten up my yellow section. Once I had that blended the way I liked, I set it aside so it could dry a bit. While that was drying, I stamped my flowers and leaves from the Tulips stamp set onto some Vellum using white ink and then heat embossed them using white embossing powder. I used the coordinating Tulips Outline Dies to cut them out. I cut down my ink blended panel and added it to a white A2 cardbase. I used the largest die in the Rectangle Internal Scallops set and cut it out 3 times. I glued them together and added them to my card front. I arranged my Tulips and added them to the card, along with a sentiment from the So Many Birthdays 3 stamp set. I completed my card by adding a few clear sequins. I think this turned out so pretty!

Be sure to check out the Jaded Blossom blog to see what the rest of the DT made, they never disappoint!
I hope you will play along, I would love to see what you make!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I really appreciate it!
I hope you have a great crafty day!

Batter Up!

Hey crafty friends!
I hope this finds you well!
I have some fabulous news to share with you guys!
I am super excited to announce that I am a member of the Jaded Blossom Design Team once again!
I've missed these ladies so much and I am so happy to be back!
Yay!!!

Here is a look at the card that I created to share with you today:

My hubby and myself are pretty big baseball fans so I knew I had to make a baseball themed card using the Gnome Dies: Sport Add Ons 1, especially with the season just starting up.

I created my card by first making a top folding A2 card using white cardstock. I used the Card Mat Dies to cut out some baseball themed patterned paper and glued that to my card base. I cut a strip of red cardstock, adhered it to a strip of white cardstock & ran it through my die cutting machine using the Card Mat Dies again so that the stitching lines around the perimeter were consistent. Before adhering it to the card though, I stamped my sentiment from the Root For The Gnome Team stamp set with some white ink and then heat embossed it using white embossing powder. I die cut a  circle using the Stitched Circle Dies and cut a small section off to create a straight edge. I added it to my card front and started building my cute little baseball gnome!  I used the Gnome Dies, Gnome Dies 2 & Gnome Dies: Sports Add Ons 1 to create my little baseball player. Once he was built, I added him to my circle and then used the Star Dies to decorate his little ball cap. My favorite team wears Orange and Black but since I'm not sure who the card will be going to, I opted to keep the colors pretty generic. So cute!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
I really appreciate it!!
I hope you have a great crafty day!

In Your Corner

Hi everyone and happy Monday!

I have a fun card to share with you today that I created using a new stamp set from

That little mouse is too cute!
To create my card, I started by folding a piece of white cardstock in half to create my A2 card base. I used a stitched die to cut out a piece of patterned paper to layer on top and added a bit of doodling around the perimeter. I stamped my In Your Corner image onto a piece of white cardstock and colored it in with my Copic markers. I stamped the image once again onto a piece of floral patterned paper and cut it out to give my card a bit of a wallpaper vibe. When I paper pieced the patterned paper onto the wall, I raised it ever so slightly to give the illusion of a baseboard. At least that is what I was hoping for lol! I added a little scallop frame on top and adhered my image to my card front. I stamped my sentiment and used a banner die to cut it out, adding it underneath my image to complete my card.

What a sweet and thoughtful stamp set!

Copic Colors Used:
--Wall: C00, C1, C3, C4, C5, C6, C7--
--Floor: G40, G21--
