MCT Thrifty Thursday

Hi crafty friends & happy Thursday!
Today over at the My Creative Time blog, it is
Thrifty Thursday!
This is the day where we show you projects made with scraps, leftovers or recycled items.

I decided to make a little Easter treat holder using a recycled Starbucks frappe bottle and a little matching gift card.

To make my bottle, I simply removed all the labels and then thoroughly cleaned it. Once it was completely dry from being washed, it was time to decorate. I wrapped my bottle with some patterned paper and thin strips of the green card stock that was left over from the layout that I did last week. (You can see that HERE). Once that was done, I cut out that cute little chick from the Hello Chickie! set using some scraps of card stock and adhered it to the front of my bottle using some foam adhesive.  For the neck of my bottle, I used some scrap lace and then added a tulle bow.  For my 3x3 card, I cut out the base using some scrap white cardstock and then decorated it with more of my scraps. I used the Curly Label Die & the Stitched Curly Label Die to frame my sentiment from the To My Best Peep stamp set. I added another tulle bow and Voila!

For the lid of my bottle, I used the Scallop & Stitched Circle Dies to help cover up the logo. I got my greeting from the Happy Hunting Stamp Set and the cute little Easter Egg is from the Hello Chickie Stamp Set.

I think this will make a cute little gift for someone and it was completely made from scraps and recycled items (except for the tulle and adhesive)! Gotta love that!
